actually it was my first time ever going to chili's, and this location made my night because of our server James! he is so nice and friendly, very knowledgeable about the menu. we got the classic sirloin and sirloin with avocado. for the price, it wasn't bad at all and the steaks were cooked medium rare like we asked. i wish the asparagus was a little more seasoned but James gave me A1 sauce so it was fine. the jackberry margarita was super yum, tasted like juice so beware. for dessert we got the skillet cookie, and they had a deal where if you bought two, you'd get the second one for two dollars. honestly one would've been fine, but i couldn't pass up that deal. the skillet cookie was super yum and left us in a food coma, i don't think i could finish a whole skillet cookie by myself, it's just too heavy for me, but i would get it again to share with the table or a couple people. a great way to end off the night. if you ever come to this chili's ask for james, he's the best! read more

Last week, we ordered the Honey-Chipotle Chicken Crispers meal and the Crispy Chicken Tacos -- both meals were delvered in under 5 minutes because they were already being prepared! I am not making this up. The concept of the chain restaurant bequeaths us with consistancy that the local places around here are sorely lacking. Great hours, too: open till midnight Mon-Sat, and until 11pm on Sunday. There's no place else that can touch that in Lowell besides a dive bar or a roach-coach diner, neither of which I want to eat at at any time of day. Obviously, almost everyone in the country has already been to Chili's and knows what to expect - incredibly tasty southwestern-style American food at decent prices, with a great selection of Margaritas and personable service. I put forth that this particular Chili's is one of the best I've ever been to, and I'm especially grateful it's so close to home. On top of that, it's in the same parking lot as the local Cineplex, so you can walk off your 1/4-lb cheeseburger on your way to snooze away a lazy weekend watching the latest jack Black flick (or whatever floats your film boat). I've been going to this location regularly for about 4 years now since all my friends live in Lowell. I am a BIG chili's fan! Sometimes the service can be a hit or miss, but when I went the other day on 11/11 for lunch I was so happy with my visit. I forget my servers name but he had glasses and was also tending the bar. He gave great recommendations and was attentive. This location also seems to be taking great Covid precautions as well. Having great service really makes the dine in experience special. He was very personable and kind. We even chatted about both being in the restaurant industry. Like I mentioned before I have had a couple issues with service at this location but it seems the staff is either new or better trained. So I am happy to return! read more

I never had an issue with this Chili's, but last night was too averge. My family noticed they didn't have anything new on the menu; we tend to come often. Also, our waitress came around 3x. The last time, she asked "needed anything else, boxes, just the check?" Chill lady, we still need to relax and decide, but poof came a check. The main thing that bothered me was she took away my Patron Margarita, the only "new" thing on the menu. It's like she didn't even look. Today (8/18) we walked in for lunch. We stood at the hostess station for several minutes. There was not a hostess. There was no bar staff. We finally saw two servers across the dining room. Zero acknowledgement from those two staff members. We decided to leave as this was a clear sign that our orders and receiving our meal would not be quick. Always fresh and good for take out. Their to go drinks are delicious and all the food is fresh and hot when we get home. I always get the honey chipolte chicken crispers with the Mexican corn and the French fries. My boyfriend has gotten the chicken sandwich and chicken fingers. My husband and figured we stop in for a bite to eat because they are open later, both of us also work in restaurants, we arrived 1 hour before close, stood at the front for over 5 min was not to busy basically was ignored, finally went over to the bartender who had her back turned the whole time chatting with a customer at the bar , I said excuse me can we sit here at the high top , she says sure take a seat. Just want to give customers of this place a heads up! There are only 2 sizes for molten lava cakes "mini" aka kids and "regular" large size off the dessert menu. I always order kids lava cakes and the price is $3.50 each. Last night I ordered 3 kids lava cakes and was almost charged $30 just for the cakes. When I questioned the price I was told it was taxes.... Upon me asking further questions because I have ordered these cakes many times it is found out I was charged mini lava cake price of $9 and some change per each. Apparently The mini is the same exact size as the kids. I was then told I didn't ask for the kids size- again kids and mini are the same size! I asked how many sizes are there thinking I was confused. There are only 2 sizes. So if you order a mini you get charged over $5 more for the same exact size. What a horrible corporate thing to do. So many customers have been duped with this greedy practice. There should be a size and a price not deceiving customers such a shame for a company which already makes more than enough money for its CEOs! read more

I am currently sitting in the restaurant where me and my homegirls were sat in a dark corner without an overhead light and literally forgot about. Once our food got here my steak was so tough I couldn't even cut or chew it, flavorless "loaded potatoes" and dry unseasoned steamed broccoli that was literally cold. I am now still waiting over half an hour for my replacement burger. This is completely unacceptable and not okay. This is ghetto and now our desserts are taking almost an hour they have literally waitress and she's trying her best but this just ain't it. Went to chillis the other night with 2 other friends, there is a mandate at the restaurant to have a mask when entering. Unfortunately my mask had broke and so did my friends masks, so we ask the host for any extra masks, and we are told they have no extra and you have to have your own to enter. I'm sorry but if your going to have a mandate have extras around for people who forgot or if their mask had broke. How are you going to enforce this with not having extra masks ? read more

I bought a classic ribeye tonight. I always get medium rare. I've never had a problem here. Foods always delicious. Tonight on the other hand was not so great. The ribeye looked like it wasn't even cooked. I couldn't even cut the steak while using a steak knife. I honestly can't even believe how it looked. I was so disgusted. I had to throw it on the stove to cook longer. On top of that I ordered the bacon chicken quesadillas - ordered it with no bacon. Asked for lettuce on it. I loved chilis until this experience. The food made all of our stomached feel bleh and the cookie skillet was inedible. It literally tasted like raw cookie dough if you microwaved it for a minute and then dumped ice cream on top. They also served it in a skillet that was so hot we couldn't even touch it and we had two toddlers so not sure why that's a good idea. The waitress also tried to input everything separately even though we got 2 for 25 deal. Just a pretty sad experience. read more

A little better than average We went inside and there didn't seem to be a hostess to greet us so we went down and sat at the bar. While there, I was greeted by a blonde bartender who ended up getting my drink order wrong. I asked for a Blackberry Iced Tea and she gave me a Mango one instead. It turns out that she was switching shifts with another (much better) bartender so she probably just didn't really care. The second bartender was great! She was very attentive and talkative, I enjoyed her company. I ordered the 2 for 20$ special, one for there and one to go. I ended up getting the half rack of Baby Back Ribs with french fries for there. To go, I ordered their Crispy Chicken Zingers and for an appetizer, I ordered their Nachos with Roasted Corn Guacamole. The appetizer was great! I loved their guacamole and the portion was huge! I ended up sharing it with my brother and nephew it was so large. The chips were thin and tasted like they were freshly made, loved it. The Baby Back Ribs weren't all that impressive. I felt like they were a little bland taste wise, the fries seemed to have been sitting underneath a heating lamp for a bit also. I came home and tried a piece of the Chicken Zingers, they weren't the best either (Red Robins has the best). The service and decor was excellent. The bar area was great, especially if you want fast service without waiting for the waiter to come by your table/stall. The food arrived quickly and seemed fresh enough. The bartender was super nice, she comped me for the iced tea that the other bartender got wrong (she rationalized that it was because she was a blonde haha).. that led me to give her a generous tip. I'm only giving a second star because the man who delivered my meal was nice, other than that I don't have much that is good to say. I ordered the southwestern BLT toasted sandwich. There is nothing southwest about it and it was not toasted. Those are both manageable,however the sandwich came on a giant roll,and while the lettuce and tomato were well represented the bacon part of the BLT was almost nonexistent. I have included a photo because if I read this I would be inclined to think it was an exaggeration, but I literally was given a total of two pieces of bacon on the whole sandwich. This is not a supplemental meat for this sandwich, had this been a turkey club or southwest chicken sandwich with a bacon accent two pieces would be sufficient, but the prime ingredient in a BLT is BACON,so where the hell is it? Nahhhhhhh..... I don't hate on service or servers especially now during COVID times. But this experience wasn't it. Maybe it was the day I went but the experience was trashhhh. The greeting when first walking in was super rude, like they didn't want to serve you. Like say hi a least.... No I didn't go near closing hours. I went early. The server was mad rude... she was rushing the whole dinning experience. I understand you're tired and want to be done but don't be disrespectful... Her compared to other servers was insane. We had another lady bring in desert and she was so so nice to us, even just bringing a plate over!!! The server we had was trash sorry not sorry. This review is strictly on the machines that chili's now make the customers navigate. Apparently, waiting tables will soon become obsolete. Because now, instead of a server being responsible for handling guest payments- the guests are now required to do it themselves. So when I'm finishing up my meal, on a busy evening, enjoying myself, I have to stop what I'M doing, to do what your wait staff is being TIPPED and paid to do? Where's my discount- since I'm making their job easier and doing their work? You're turning their job into just food running? If that's the case- pay them a decent 12-15 dollars an hour and wipe out the 2.63 plus poor tips. It's bad a enough they do all the dirty work for minimum wage. How dare a company think it's REASONABLE to have the guest do a restaurant staff members job. It takes away the personability and the fun in being served. I was completely turned off when I went there with a friend last weekend. So disappointing and sort of embarrassing. The verde enchilada's were good though. read more

Chili's tends to be crappy wanna be Mexican food but this particular location sucks. I understand we're in the middle of a pandemic and a lot people would rather be home but if so then stay home. The staff was incredibly rude and not helpful at all. I order a lava cake to go and the girl attending fail to tell me that it was completely frozen before I order it. The I politely asked her to heat it up for me and she went and asked someone else from the staff they laughed saying they couldn't heat it up because of the container as if they can't simply place on a different container and just heat it up. I came here with a friend for an early dinner and we had Olivia (I think that's her name!) as our server. She was so polite, very attentive, and gave us fast service. Olivia's timing with the app,entree,dessert, and drinks were on point. Coming from my friend and I who are servers ourselves, we were very happy with her and how amazing her service was. We gave her 20% tip on the bill and even left an extra tip on the table .As for the drinks and food, we got the $25 for 2 meal and was a tad bit disappointed in the awesome blossom appetizer. We thought it was a blooming onion, hence the "blossom" name. But it was ONLY pieces of the blooming onion.. so not really that awesome LOL. Other than that, it was still a fair and very filling app for my friend and I. We got the Texas strawberry lemonade cocktails which were very light in alcohol-y taste and good if you like a fruity cocktail. For entrees, We got the Cajun shrimp pasta and the bacon ranch quesadillas and only finished half of it because it was pretty heavy (in a good way)! Definitely worth the money if you're going out with a friend and you don't want to spend a lot of money and if you don't mind sharing food with your friend. The cheesecake was our dessert and it was pretty good! Not too cheesy and has a lighter sweetness compared to other cheesecakes. I have a confession to make... I love the chipotle chicken kickers from chilli's. It's chicken tenders doused in a spicy smoky sauce. It's so delicious. The chicken tenders are nothing to write home about, and the gut rot caused by said indulgence is almost always worth it. My boyfriend and I are regular customers who usually goes at least once a week. The service and the food are always good. Due to Covid, we wanted to show support to local restaurants and restaurants we love to go to. Our two experiences with ordering food for delivery were awful. Picking DoorDash for your delivery partner was a big mistake and that may cost you a few regular customers. Our first experience was ok. They forgot our drinks but the manager said they would send us a gift card for our troubles. We have never seen that gift card. Our second experience was horrible. We waited a hour for our food but it never arrived. When we called to checked up on the status, they said no one from DoorDash came to pick it up and the food was just sitting there. We were never was contacted about this issue. We said we wanted a refund and we then had to order from somewhere else. In the meantime, DoorDash delivered our food. The food was ice cold. I did contact Chili's through their website contact form but no one got back to me. It have been almost two weeks. read more

It took several minutes for someone to greet the two separate parties waiting to be seated. After we were seated, the server (or hostess, not sure) was snarky about the party ahead of us asking to place their order (they were obviously in a rush). We got another server who promptly took our order. My salad arrived topped with chicken that seemed to have been reheated several times. Shoe leather comes to mind. Chili's is a good place if you want a sit-down American restaurant for a good price. Nothing too casual and nothing too fancy. It's pretty solid in the middle. I've been there quite a few times and my experiences have been great, except whenever they're dealing with a party over 10. Usually it's just a bit of confusion over the bill and miscommunication with orders, but I went there for dinner today and this trip took the cake. Last night was my cousin's birthday so we all decided to grab some dinner at Chili's to celebrate with the family with a party of 19. I understand that's a rather large number, but I've been there with close numbers and have never had the following incident happen. We got to Chili's and were sat down at about 5:45pm. We ordered our drinks/appetizers and then proceeded to ordering our food. I got the Crispy Honey-Chipotle Chicken Crispers with Steak Fries, Mashed Potatoes w/ Black Pepper Gravy and a bowl of New England Clam Chowder. I must say everything was astounding, except for the Crispers that were a bit too saucy for my taste. Anyway, we had all finished our food at about 7pm-7:10pm and were waiting on the bill. Normally this takes about 10-15minutes, so we didn't mind waiting. Then it was 7:45pm and we were still waiting. We had finally got fed up around 8pm and approached a manager as to why we were waiting for over a half hour(close to an hour). Apparently they had gotten our entire bill confused and had the entire party write down what we ordered. Instead of just going around and re-taking our orders(which we didn't mind doing), they just had us wait for an hour and got our bill sorted by 8:30pm. That's over an hour. That's about half the time of our entire trip; equivalent to the time it took for us to sit down, order and eat. I highly doubt it was a new waitress or else they would not have given her a party of 19, but if we were told from the beginning about the confusion then we would've told them our solution of re-taking our orders. I don't think I'll be visiting the only Chili's in Lowell, MA for a while now. They had delicious Blackberry Iced Tea though. read more
