The restaurant was not busy. The ACID ROCK music was blasting! The server was nice but incredibly untrained. We waited 65 minutes to get our food. The server left the empty appetizer plates on our table for at least 50 minutes until the food showed up. My wife's food was missing. My daughter and her boyfriend ordered shrimp with their meals and both orders of shrimp came on the same plate. My steak that I upgraded to 10 ounces for $4.00 and ordered Medium, was RAW. I did not eat it or send it back because you NEVER send food back unless you want them to spit on it or worse. Since we had to wait so long, my 6 year old fell asleep before the food came so she ate nothing. They ran out of beer glasses so we had some other glass that was not as big as a normal beer mug so I'm sure I didn't get my money's worth there either. This Chili's in Panama City, FL has a bad reputation among the locals and should be closed. We tried it one last time hoping they had improved, but they have not. I would give this place a 0 If possible. First impressions are everything and when we sat down the bartender had such an attitude and actually acted and tried not to surge us. We're in the military out here on a detachment. We came in after dinner, went to the bar and started ordering drinks I asked the bartender (older guy white goate and flat top) to order a celebratory drink for one of my guys getting out of the military. He said what do I want cus he's limited on stuff he can put in it. I told him what was in the drink and he said he doesn't have it. I said well it can have anything in to as a base, he said well I don't have time for this so no, and walked away. Saddest excuse of a Chillis I've ever been to. All the tables were left un-cleaned until a new customer needed it; the customers had to wait until their table was cleared when there was no wait otherwise. The food was ok but kinda cold. I don't know where these bad reviews are coming from. I've never had a bad experience. I think its their taste buds are off. I usually love going to Chili's but this day was such a bad experience! First off I reserved a table for 10 people for a person leaving the military and I arrived a little early around 11:50 am I ordered my food and drink and let the waiter know that we are "Not" going to wait for the whole party of people to show up and to go ahead and place the orders as people arrive. 55min later I am still waiting for my food and the waiter said some excuse that it was a mix up and that the manager was going to bring my food! Everyone at my table already got there food and finished eating at this point. Finally the manager shows up with my food in hand. Manager- I heard you want to talk to me? Me- well since you are here. Yes! Could you please tell me why everyone at my table who arrived late and got their food before me? It's been over 55min! Manager- well there was a mix up and the food was hanging back on the grill searing. Me- well ok..... um well I waited 55min and I pretty much been filling up on chips and Salsa! Why did it take so long! Manager- well it takes 5 min to process the order and then another 10min to prepare it. I was having a bad day. Nothing was going my way. I forgot to take something out of the freezer to cook for dinner and I was too tired to cook anyway. I decided to go out to eat. I did not know where and I did not know what I wanted at the time. While driving I got pushed into the out side lane of traffic by some idiot driving and talking on a cell-phone (it went perfect with how my day was going so far). I seen about a block ahead a Chili's sign. I pull in (still mad at the idiot that cut me off) went inside and when I sat down and ordered. Every thing seamed to feel a little better, I think it might have been the fact that the people there were so nice and the food came faster than I expected and I believe after my third or fourth bite I may have had a small smile on my face. What can I say. Took forever to get our drinks, no straws. Margarita came but waitress spilled half of it trying to shake it at the table. Waited for our food for 30 min and it wasn't busy. Waitress said mine was ready but not my wife's. Waited 15 more minutes and the food was brought out. My plate was hot but not my burrito. Guess it was under the heat lamp waiting for my wife's food to finish. Here's a hint, don't tell your customers their food is done and sitting in the back waiting for the rest of the order to be done. My food had a "skin" on it from sitting. Waitress never refilled my wife's drink, ever! I asked for a second margarita which the bartender delivered 15 minutes after I ordered it. My meal was finished so I drank my margarita while my wife's tea glass sat empty. Waitress asked the guy behind us three times if he needed anything to our "Zero" and we were there 10 minutes before him. My wife's prime rib bowl was not supposed to have the avocados and jalapeños. Avocados on top but luckily they didn't put the peppers on it. I got the prime rib burrito which wasn't bad but would have been better hot. Very little meat in both our meals. Mostly rice in mine. Overall not worth the $46 it costs and I still gave the waitress a 15% tip which was 10% more than she deserved. I have only been to this location twice and this was definitely my worst experience. Hit and miss I guess, if you have another favorite place to eat you might want to skip this specific Chili's. read more

I have been to this Chili's three times over the years. I have never been impressed, but for some reason I hope against all hope that things will get better, but alas no major improvement. So glad to see this Chili's serves Coke products, but that is about all I can say that is positive. I have been to other Chili's and the food is usually outstanding - the food at this establishment is not terrific - in fact, I think they really need to pay me to eat there. I ordered the rib-eye tacos and the meat seemed old and rather cold. I had them at the Chili's on PCB and they were out of this world, but not at this store. My husband and I had been regulars(every Friday night) to our local Chilis, but will now stop going. Chilis recent menu change is the cause. The change your restaurant has gone through is a menu change for the worse. The classic nachos were hearty and tasty with the beans and a mix of cheeses melted on top but now have gone flat and aren't as good with the mock Velveeta cheese they now have. Gone are the beans and the new cheese really is not good at all. We also had the chicken fajitas, again flat with a very bland taste to the meat and the tortillas were not the usual tasty ones. All in all the whole meal was bland, no flavor. The green chili soup, once another favorite of ours has now become an item we will not order. It's really tasteless. What ever you've done please go back and undo. Please fix the food the way it was, hearty and tasty returning to the spirit of the restaurant of old. I have ate at this Chili's so many times... Majority of the time my food is good & service is usally always ok. But the last time I went. It was My mother, My brother, My husband, Me, & my 3 sons. One is 10, 4, & 2. I always order the same thing which is the pick 2 I order the sirloin & ribs. About half the time it is cooked the way I order. Well my mom ordered the same thing steak cooked the same way but different flavored ribs of course they gave us the wrong plate I had hers & she had mine but we didnt know until we had eaten some of the food. Then my kids ate there food & theres was fine. My oldest son also ordered the steak & ribs except he ordered his steak rare it was more med & we ordered our meds & one was more well & the other was more rare so I think they had that all messed up. Then my husband ordered the jalpeno burger & my brother ordered an old timer with tons of different stuff on it. They had there burgers swapped also... You know I was ok until all of that. Up until the end the waitress came over to my husband & said your eating his burger really loud like he had stolen it from my brother when they handed it to him.. Pissed him off so much he walked outside & left dinner... Then my brother asked where his burger was & they said we will have to remake it since he is eating it. & we said ok & they never brought it she said it will be here soon.. Then she said the mgr. was going to come speak woith us & never came.. & neaither did the burger so I paid the ticket & left it was almost 200$ we had a couple 2 for 1's also... Come home thinking I would contact Chili's I wrote them because I couldnt find any number to call it took a very long time before I heard anything back. The Chili's, located on 23rd Street in Panama City FL, is, without any doubt, the best Chili's I've ever had the pleasure of eating in. The greeters and servers are always ready to greet you with a smile and give prompt courteous service. The manager on duty never fails to stop by to see how things are going. There have even been times that the manager sat down and "shot the bull" for a few minutes. That's a personable manager who cares. My husband went to pick up dinner after I called it in. It was around 6pm and I was starving. I put my order in and told them that I wanted to get the Margarita Grilled Chicken with a large side of salsa. He even asks me if I wanted the chips and I said no, I just wanted salsa. My husband comes home and I open it up and not only did we get charged for the salsa and it was NOT in there, but the chicken wasn't cooked! I couldn't believe that someone would think that was acceptable. I'm not talking it wasn't cooked to my perfection, I mean there was a huge slimy raw chunk and then I cut into it and it's pink! This a a late entry, but it deserves a review....about a week ago my family went to chili's for dinner on a Saturday night...they were pretty busy! We order this new menu item with baby rack ribs, chicken tenders, and sausage....anyway after about 20min the server informs us that there are NO more ribs...my bf is heartbroken....the manager then comes out and suggest other tasty menu items...and tells us that ribs are cooking, but they still have a while...he apologized and everything...my bf orders a fajita, he's not pleased with the taste...it takes a while for our food to come out (we spend 2hr there!)... When we were waiting to cash out the manager was headed out (home), he stops sees that we are waiting to pay realizing that we have been there far too long...he stakes out check and payment and cashes us out himself, and also gave us gift cards to return and enjoy some of their famous baby back ribs!!! Just his simple gestures made what was a "I'm not coming back here for a while" experience turn into a "they tried, they were helpful, I'm coming back" experience!
