I arrived at Chili's and was seated quickly, but I immediately noticed that the restaurant didn't seem very clean. The mirrors and windows were dirty, and my booth had crayons, hair, and crumbs both in the seat crack and on the floor. There was also gum stuck underneath the table. As I waited, I watched an employee cleaning nearby tables. They wiped the tabletop and even cleaned the floor, but they completely neglected to clean the booth seats. I also saw another employee wipe down the half wall next to the booths without using any cleaning spray--they simply rubbed it with a towel. Watching those cleaning practices made me even more concerned about the restaurant's overall cleanliness. The menu was very large with lots of items to choose from, but there were no daily specials or featured menu items, which was a little disappointing. I ordered the Mushroom Swiss Burger with fries and mozzarella sticks. The burger was very disappointing. The beef had almost no flavor except for the crusty outside, the mushrooms were raw and didn't seem fresh, and the tomatoes tasted old. The mozzarella sticks tasted like they came straight from the frozen food aisle, and when I broke one open, water poured out, which was very unappetizing. On top of that, the wait for my food was much longer than expected. Overall, the cleanliness, food quality, and long wait made for a very disappointing dining experience. Based on what I experienced and observed, I don't plan to return unless these issues are addressed. (When I tried to address these concerns in person, I was greeted by a woman who identified herself as "one of the managers," which suggests there are multiple managers responsible for the restaurant at the same time? Which was weird. Makes me wonder how the kitchen staff is set up. Is there a head chef and does everyone communicate to each other? I shared my concerns respectfully, but what was even more disappointing was discovering that many of the same issues I experienced today have been mentioned repeatedly in customer reviews going back as far as six months. In many of those responses, management assured customers the problems would be addressed, yet I observed many of the same issues firsthand. That gives the impression that these concerns are acknowledged publicly but not consistently corrected.) read more

Taking into account for a new kiosk system implemented the night before without real training and on Prom night with many people it was a little hectic. A server took my order so I waited an hour for my dinner and everyone else had finished eating before mine everyone arrived. Will was our server and was overwhelmed but between Will and Manager Emma made it right for me and I was satisfied with the recovery of the errors. Things happen and just have patience with the staff if possible. I was starving so I was wanting to be upset but breathe and let them do what they do. I appreciated them for making it a good experience instead of leaving and give terrible reviews or bad tips. That's a no no. Just speak to them. While the service was cordial and prompt, the food was lacking in presentation and, more importantly, taste. I ordered shrimp fajitas. The plate came out sizzling but food was cold to ice cold. We stayed at a Hotel on Wednesday night and decided to order from Chilis and have it delivered. I ordered through Door Dash. Our ordered arrived with nothing to eat it with. We had ordered fajitas. I called Chilis and spoke with the evening manager who then asked if i could come and pick some utensils. I told him this defeated the purpose of having it delivered. I asked for them to bring me some. He stated he didnt have anyone to bring it to me. He then said to call door dash. They asked for a code from the restaurant manager who did not provide one to me. They said they could not bring any to us. So here we are, at a hotel, we dont carry utensils with us and no way to eat our meal. We are stuck in the middle of the restaurant and the delivery service, some how guessing its my fault some how but no one taking responsibility for the missing utensils. Day three of the Thelma and Louise "concur & regulate" road trip to Dallas and we've been on the road for over 4 hours we were hungry and over fast and unknown food places. My Louise loves Chili's chicken crispers and so we decided this would be our lunch spot. Directions off the freeway aren't very clear but eventually we found it. Note head left than left again. We are seated right away and our server was on top of us like white on rice wanting us to order an appetizer we didn't want. Two ice teas and a few minutes to look over the menu please. The ice tea comes and it's warm, I hate that, I want cold ice tea people! Anyways I went for the chipotle honey chicken crispers and my Louise went for the regular chicken crispers both were served with corn on the cob and fries. After waiting a while our pushy server told us our food would be ready in two minutes, fifteen minutes later it finally arrives at our table with no apology, ice tea is refilled and thankfully it's cold this time. The food was good, I even ate the corn on the cob it was fresh and sweet and tasty. Service was crappy but the ladies room was much cleaner and nicer than the rest stop restroom we stopped in where I dry heaved in my mouth from the smell, something seriously must have died in there it was nasty. Anyways if I'm ever driving through Salina, pronounced Sa-line-na not with a Mexican accent like I wanted to put on it, there's a 50/50 chance I'd pick Chili's to eat at again. read more

Ok, my bad. Don't order steak at a chain restaurant and take note of consistent less than positive reviews. So went to Chili's with a colleague. I'm more of an Applebee's diner if I go chain, but thought Why not. I was floored looking over the menu and seeing the calories of each choice. Did something to me mentally. Nearly everything that seemed appetizing was 1700+. Couldn't justify it. So, a 6oz sirloin seemed reasonable. Let me say our server was extremely polite and accommodating. I requested a 6oz sirloin medium and half order of shrimp. What arrived was a hockey puck and no shrimp. I couldn't even chew the piece I first sawed through. I don't like being that person, but I had to return it and request a re fire. Moments later the manager- I think- stopped by to apologize and ensure me my meal was being recooked. My dinner partner reminded me of my shrimp. A few moments from that exchange a plate of 6 very tiny cooked to death shrimp arrived. Ok what was I really expecting. My colleague was about to polish off his last triangle of a quesadilla that I was initially considering when my refired 6 or sirloin arrived. Unfortunately it was so raw I couldn't cut through the soft cold meat with my dull steak knife. I ordered a 22 oz beer. Finished off the shrimp and cursed myself for not enjoying 1700+ calories of cheesy tasty can't go wrong quesadilla. Last thoughts of my experience? Just stick to the beer. read more

When we got there is was before the Saturday night rush and were told that the wait time would be 20 minutes. 45 minutes later they sat 3 other partys of equal size to us that had come in after us. We arrived in Salina and got checked-in late, so we needed a later-night place to eat. Chili's was one of the few restaurants that was open and still serving. Now, I don't normally eat at large chain restaurants so I'll admit I wasn't particularly excited about this option, but I felt there wasn't much of a choice. Luckily, I was pleasantly surprised. Hands down the best part of our experience was our server Amy. She was sweet and attentive and seemed to truly care that we had an enjoyable experience. The food was good. The atmosphere was lovely without being loud. I had a drink which was excellent (unfortunately, I don't know the bartender's name but my hats off to HER.) And the price - basically $50 for an app, 2 entries, 2 drinks, tax and tip all good with excellent service ?! I consider that a "win." We waited a bit before getting started - but I honestly think that was a fluke due to the odd and late timing in which we arrived (and Amy was super quick to apologize which I appreciate immensely!) I wish there was a way to control the spicy level of the food (I'm not a fan of spicy so a little goes a long way for me.) And I know it's supposed to be a modern convenience and whatnot, but I don't like the touch screen order stands at the table. They seem impersonal and gross to touch. (Call me old fashion.) These last bits are more personal and definitely are more preferences than criticisms, because I'll also definitely be back while I'm here. read more

Was visiting Bethany college in lindsborg from California and stopped here to eat on our way to Nebraska. My daughter and I must have been hungry because the Food was delicious. I like Chilis. Yes... they are a chain. But they have some flavorful options and some lighter options if you are into that. I had the Boneless Buffalo Chicken salad. It is a chopped salad and tossed in dressing. The chicken breast is sliced and arranged in a spoke pattern. First of all I have been a fan of Chili's for 10 years or better. The Salina Chili's does not honor the Chili Rewards Points. I was told that it is because it is a franchise and not owned by corporate. Our first issue is that we had to wait when there were easily 10 tables open. We waited about 15 minutes and as we walked to our table we passed 6 open tables. My friend got his order 8 minutes before mine. No one ever came to tell me what was going on with my order. My friend waited to eat his burger as it got cold until I got my food. I finally flagged down our waitress and she was unaware I never got my food. Another girl eventually brings me my food, but took it to another table first. Our food was good, but was tepid in temperature. Our waitress never checked on us again. She continued to go to the table next to us, but 15 minutes passed before she ever returned. She showed up after the meal. We had to request our drinks to be refilled and she brought back the wrong drink. Our end ticket that was already processed on the table Ziosk was $4 plus over charged. We pointed that out to the waitress and she said she had to correct it on the register. Had we of checked out at the table as they prefer these days we would have just overpaid. I've never had such poor service. We felt ignored and that it really didn't matter to our wait staff that we had to wait on my meal. Terrible service. It's a shame, because this kind of service could ruin this Chili's. read more

Appetizers were fine. Then food came out cold and we have been ignored by the waitress for 10 minutes so far. Still have no refills. Will update as soon as I get a response. So after 15 minutes after our food arrives our server finally comes over and asks if we need boxes. 5 min later the manager comes and offers to make it over comp the kids meals or give us a $25 gift certificate. Really! She finally comped the kids meals and gave us $25 in gift certificates. We never got an apology or I'll take care of it. Update: We have recently eaten here. Was told when we entered the restaurant that we that they were clearing a table and would seat us in about 5 minutes. After we waited 15 minutes I approached them and asked if it would be much longer. There were multiple tables and booths open including a very visable table that seated 8. Multiple people who made reservations after us were seated while we were left standing. The final straw was when they seated a couple with one small child at the table 4 eight and told me it was hard to seat 7 people. The biggest share of the room was empty. The last time my husband and I ate at Chili's he was served a raw chicken fried steak. I mean bloody red mooing raw. The manager tired to have it remade only to return a overcooked and hard replacement. I feel if the cook is new then they need to be supervised and helped when the rush happens so they don't feel as if they are drowning causing people to recieve raw uncooked food. I live in Salina so I've been to Chili's my fair share and it's always good service, but today was exceptional... My daughter and I went for lunch and were eating the delicious chips and salsa when she discovered something very unappetizing in her water. I notified our waitress and she immediately brought a new one with apologies. Later, the manager comes over and tells us she took my daughter's meal and the chips off of our ticket. Then she brings out to my daughter a balloon, 2 decks of playing cards, and a coupon for a free kids meal. I've seen places go to extreme measures to satisfy very rude customers because they can just be plain mean to the staff. But I wasn't mad at all and they still went to extreme measures to make sure we weren't deterred by this one situation. It was the best service we've had from Chili's. read more
