The restaurant was very busy but it was still very clean. I enjoyed the Triple Dipper. We were looking to hit our usual places Monday for lunch, but it seemed like everywhere we went they were crowded and extremely busy or they weren't that crowded, but lacked the staff to handle having more than what they had! So we elected to stop and try Chili's Bar and Grill. They had a pretty good bunch of customers, but we were promptly seated and our drink orders were taken! I had sweet tea, my wife had water, and our little one had a coke. We ordered appetizers of Southwestern Eggrolls and an order of Texas Fries that had melted cheese, bacon bits, chopped green onions, and sliced pickled jalapenos! Ask of them were really good to get Started. For my main part of lunch I ordered the Big Mouth Texas Rancher a double Meat cheese burger with bacon slices and ranch dressing, my wife had the lunch beef fajitas and a salad. Our 7 year old had a small lunch size cheese pizza. My burger was really pretty good and I was actually impressed that the meat was really juicy and not dried out! It was really a great burger!!! My wife thought her fajitas were decent, but not really spectacular. Our 7 year old only ate about one and a half slices of his pizza out of four! He said the crust was too thick and fluffy and had too much sauce on it! He's used to and favors thin crust with more cheese than sauce. I'll give a shout out to our waiter who stayed on top of things and kept checking on us and his other customers while we were there!! The kitchen staff would bring out the food too or table as soon as it was ready, so I have to give them kudos too for bringing our food out hot as it was ready!! I never do reviews because I'm more of a benefit of the doubt but I've ate at Chili's in silsbee three times in the last few months and needless to say last night was our LAST. The first time my husband and I ate there they didn't give us avacado or bacon on our avacado bacon burger. The next time they put a whole other table's ticket on ours and didn't wanna take it off. Then charged us for food we never got. The last time, last night, my husband ordered a Bloody Mary and the celery was SLIMY and you could bend it all the way over and it wouldn't break. The ribs were dry. The corn was burnt and underseasoned. The water taste like it came from village creek, and the door greeter that served us was high as a kite. I think Chili's nails it as a curbside restaurant. I called in a 2 for $25 last night and it was perfect. I got the fried onion for the appetizer, a half order of ribs, and 2 sides, then I got the Cajun shrimp pasta as the second entree, and cheesecake for the desert. Each item was well prepared, looked appetizing, tasted delicious, and was the proper temperature. And the entire meal was ready for pickup in less than 15 minutes. What more could I ask for? Never go to this restaurant. We had the worst experience ever. Waited 2 hours to get our food and when it finally did come everything wasn't there and it was cold. We got the 2 for 25 ordered salads and never got them. Got my cajun chicken pasta no garlic bread and was cold. Management gave us our desserts free but I was so mad I didn't want any. Food was ok. You need citrus in your guacamole. Service was horrible. Long wait just to get seated when lots of open booths. The bartender ended up waiting on us and didn't come back to check on our drinks or how our food was when finally delivered. Had to go to the bar to ask for the desert that came with our order. Then she over inflated the bill by not charging us the 2 for $25 rate but with each item individually. That was the final issue and I wanted a manager. She refused to serve us and even got into argument with three of us at the table because we said we no longer wanted her as our waitress!!! Only giving this place one star because like the rest of the corp restaurants the yuppie never worked a day in their lives owners are cowards. They do NOT list their soft drink prices on the menu, which everyone I speak too say is very deceptive. A glass of soda or tea that cost them about .15 will cost a person 2.79. Both our ketchup bottles were less than 1/4 full during early dinner rush. Our salt and pepper holders were completely rusted and gross, I have pictures. A person would think that the hundreds they make on drink profits they could get clean holders. Also, my serving tray my food came on, have picture, was covered in some kind of mung or gross white slimy substance? My food and my wife's food was excellent. The waiter was excellent but under paid, so I give him my soda money I save getting water with lemon. My husband ordered the fajitas and there was a hair in the food. The server was great and got a new order going however the manager could not manage to find the time to come to our table. This place is reasonably priced and the waitress (Malorie) is way smoking gorgeous and amazing at her job! After ordering the food arrived promptly, whisked to me by this divine waitress. Even though it was classic chain restaurant food it had a personal flair I haven't witnessed before in other middle-class restaurants. Dessert was a must have and the goddess of my food delivery assembled the tasty concoction herself! A decadent and rich chocolate molten!! Reasonably priced and enough to well fill a hungry belly! There is NO WAY I will ever step foot in the Chili's again. We waited 5 minutes to be seated by the bartender and we were the only ones standing there. One person did acknowledge us but never came back. After we were seated the table was sticky. We waited another 25 minutes and walked out. We were never acknowledged even though waiters and management was walking by. They were too busy in the back flirting and telling people to shut up. They need some sort of leadership in that place. This restaurant has a smoking section. The smell of stale smoke permeates everything, and you have to walk through clouds of it to get to the restroom. Skip this Chilis and visit one that's made it in to the 1990s. read more
