Made a reservation for 18 a month ago. We got there and the table was not ready due to not having a server. That was not a big deal. The food was good. the waitress TALI was excellent. The problem is you have the one little machine on the table to try to check out 18 or so People's tickets. It took so long to do this. There must be a better way. The food was OK. I have a major problem with marketing: we were presented either a cocktail menu of refreshments WITH NO PRICES on it. I've never seen this and felt that I was being cheated. Next, we thought we were ordering wine 2 glasses for $5 per. That's what the website said. Turns out, this ONLY applies if you eat at the bar. Again, cheated by stupid marketing. I have at least 10 similar restaurants I could support near me, Chili's is now at the bottom of the list. But without fail every time we visit we stand and wait while everyone walks by us as we are waiting to be seated. We called no wait. We drive there, people waiting all over, dining room us under construction half the seating was gone. We wound up at Chilis. One pasta choice with 3 options. Not good. Penne pasta only, no alternatives, overcooked. Alfredo sauce very thick gooey like cheese almost like 20 minute old Mac n cheese. I think you could pick the plate up hold it sideways and the stuff would stay sticking. I did order the Cajun spice on the side in case it was too much. It needed a lot more than just Cajun spice. It tasted like something my 10 year old would make, not prepared well glob of overcooked penne in thick cheese with little flavor and nothing else in it. A Hard burnt piece of texas toast on the side. I'm not sure I'll ever go back and if I do it will be for fries a beer and or burger but thats it. I used to go to Chilis a lot. It's just not good food anymore, certainly not worth driving to for a restaurant meal at restaurant prices for that non chef overcooked glue goo Alfredo cheese glob. For it to have been good - don't overcooked the pasta, thin the sauce, add anything: broccoli, peppers, green onions or tomatoes on top etc. do that it may have been worth it. As is was junk. I went home very disappointed and unsatisfied. Service was not an issue. Server was nice. Food quality is deteriorating at Chilis. I only ate half of my food. I've had a bad experience with their burgers in the past because they use some type of seasoning that doesn't agree with me. So I asked that not be put into my meat. The server said she had to ask how to do that. She said she marked as no seasonings in the meat , but my stomach disagrees. I know she didn't mark it that way or the cook doesn't care. It was slightly busy but definitely not enough to take that long. Then, when he finally greeted us and it just seemed like he didn't want to talk or help his guests in any kind of way. I see someone complained that Chilis policy on no discussion of any politics at the bar is prohibited. which I agree with there policy politics and religion do not belong at the bar. The bar should be a place to relax and unwind. No one wants to hear that nonsense at the bar. If you don't like it good for you. Practice your 5th amendment and go to a different restraunt. Awful experience ordering To-Go food. I ordered crispy chicken tenders - these came out the complete opposite of crispy and were literally sauggy. To top that off, I ordered a side of fries that were clearly from the bottom of somewhere, because they were dried out and tasted like oil.
