I got very sick here last night, as in threw up all over the floor of my booth sick. It was an embarrassing experience, I'm still mortified. But the lady that came over to help I'll never forget her kindness, and her understanding in a time where I felt like I was on my death bed. I think she was a manager, but either way thank you. I wish in the moment I would have sounded more appreciative or expressed my gratitude more, but coupled with the embarrassment, how terrible I felt it really did escape my mind. We stopped going here years ago, but gave it an another chance in VA and in FL locations a few times. The nachos are nothing like they were 10 years ago. So we no longer order them. However, this review is about this past Monday, May 2026. My husband and I ordered the steak fajitas each and boy what a disappointment. The onions and bell peppers were sizzling but the steak was clearly reheated and warm at best.. Very dry. I would have sent them back but had taken a bit before I realized it and didn't feel right about sending them back. My husband was very disappointed as well his were the same, dry and reheated. Our waitress was one of the laziest I've ever seen. We always tip a minimum of 20% but not this time. One speed SLOW and a very I hate that I'm here attitude. She walked past our empty salsa bowl 3 times and NO they were not busy. Never took up any plates.She had maybe 3 tables at a time. Had to ask to fill up our water, (which they have the worst water around). We will not be back for years or maybe never. Sad, because they can do much better. We did not get sick, thank God. Super weak. Lethargic staff except for the manager, she's was very up beat. We were there when the incident at the White House correspondents dinner was going on and it was on the tv and they changed it to soccer. Being a big fan of Chili's, we were excited to eat at this Chili's Sunday May 3, following a concert in Winchester. Cathy was our waitress. We ordered and the food took a bit longer to arrive that expected but no problem The problem was that my wife ordered her QP well done and I ordered mine medium. It arrived just the opposite. My wife tried to swap the patties but that didn't work. Cathy showed up and I tried to explain to her what had happened. She told me to "calm down." I was calm and the nerve of her to say that to a customer was unreal. She took our food back and the manager came to say they would fix it. It took forever for the food to finally arrive and what a mess. They must have used an entire jar of mayo on our burgers. Was that a repayment for sending the food back??? Cathy took our unlimited chips and dip side and never returned, I guess she decided we had enough. What a crappy experience and Cathy sure could have been more pleasant. You would have thought they would have done something for our trouble but that didn't happen. I still like Chili's but that one in Winchester Va is off of my list. What's not to like? The 2-for-$25 is a deal. Our meals were great. We each had our own salad, T chose a 10 ounce steak ($4 up-charge) and I had a delicious bacon burger. (There are plenty of entrees to choose from.) A shared dessert is included. I thoroughly enjoyed our warm and gooey chocolate chip cookie a la mode. Can't beat a fruity frozen margarita for $5 and -- this is important -- my husband's steak was prepared medium rare as requested; his broccoli was lightly seasoned, not over-cooked. Service was attentive and friendly. The bar reminded me of "Cheers" with a group of regulars calling the bartender by name and enjoying their evening out. The salad we got for the lunch special was not fresh at all (wrinkly tomatoes and soggy greens). My wife, son and I ordered delivery from Chili's in Winchester, VA, the other day and were extremely disappointed. I ordered a full rack of spareribs, with no sauce, my wife ordered a salad and my son ordered a pasta dish. When the order arrived, my wife was sent the wrong salad entirely, my ribs came slathered in sauce and my son's pasta was cold. So, in one respect, I guess, they batted 1000, in not getting anything about our order correct. To make matters even more ironic, what we did get was really lousy. Every Chili's I've been to has benefitted from an attentive, team-based service model, and this one was no exception. Food and drink orders were accurate, wait times were minimal, and our servers were polite and friendly. The food proved to be adequate: tasty but not outstanding. My wife went with a lunch combo of bacon ranch chicken quesadillas and enchilada soup. The quesadillas, a favorite, did not disappoint, and the soup was satisfying albeit a bit one-note (that note being cheesy). I opted for a guacamole burger. The meat had a nice char, and it was plenty flavorful. It was, however, quite greasy and a bit of a chore to eat. Fast casual chains can be risky propositions, but this Chili's seemed to have had its act together and provided us with a satisfying lunch. Maybe we lucked out on the timing. read more

Walked in around 2:45 this afternoon. Very few cars in the parking lot. Plenty of open tables inside, not just the ones marked off for social distancing. The hostess said that the person assigned as our waitress (table of 2) was going on break and so it would be a 45 minute wait for a table. Let that sink in. I love Chili's restaurants; i hate this one. Every six months or so we forget just how incompetent the staff of this one is and give it another try only to be even more let down than the prior visit. Food is consistently over or under cooked, prices for a family are ridiculous, and on top of all of that you get a bump in Winchester sales tax on top of the state. We have also seen nationally advertised specials not honored here and their frequent diner program not valid in this location. For instance they would not let us use our points for a free appetizer because they claim they don't participate in the program. How that is possible for a nationwide franchise i have no clue. We still look for Chili's when we travel but avoid this one close to home. read more

It wasn't busy at all when me and my sister were in there eating, we invited her to sit for a minute and we told her the horrible last two days we had both had all because of a drunk driver. The staff was spot on. We had our dog with us so we were limited to food options. Glad we were able to sit outside in the patio area near the takeout entrance and parking lot. Not great views but hey they accommodated our pooch. It was a much better option than getting container takeout and eating in the hotel room. Wife and I visited Chili's at about 8:30 on Friday evening 1/12/2019. The restaurant was not busy at all, about a quarter of the tables were sitting vacant. We had a short wait to get seated, which was great. Once seated, no one came out to take our drink order for 8 minutes. They also forgot our appetizer we ordered, but didn't even realize that until we brought it up. Had to ask for straws for our drinks, as well as ask for drink refills. We saw our server only once during initially making our order, and that was it. A manager later came out and comped the order that we didn't receive, and i also overheard that other nearby tables were being comped for poor service / slow speed. Avoid this place until it goes under better management, Chili's in Winchester used to be awesome, now it sucks. read more

I wish I could give 0 stars! MyHusband and I order Chili's a couple of times a week . Lately they are always offline . WHY would you take yourselves offline on the weekends? Makes no sense. I call up there and they blame DoorDash. I call doordash and they said it's the restaurant taking there selves off line so they don't have any deliveries. We just noticed they came back on line on DoorDash and place an order. We just received a message saying they are refunding our credit card. No explanation or nothing. I'm so pissed!!! There customer service sucks and they obviously don't need any business. You would think during a pandemic they would do whatever they could to get the food out and to make as much money as they can. Everyone is saying resturants are suffering and help support your restaurant's. Well hell it looks like they don't want no business. After reading these reviews you would think management would have started making some improvements. I have been in management for over 30 years and it's all about the experience and the customer service. Due to the lack of the experience and customer service, It looks like this will be the next restaurant that will be closing there doors. Chili's has an awesome black bean burger! Spicy, delicious and best of all red meat free! I ordered this. Ordered the old time burger. Which is as simple and easy as you can get. Lettuce, mustard, ketchup, onions, tomato and pickle. Simple huh? They even read the order back to me and double checked that i did NOT want cheese! When i got home, after driving 15m to pick this up! I opened it and discovered they had given me, what i am assuming to be the bacon burger. lots of cheese, bacon and tons of mayo (which i hate!) ok doesn't this defeat the purpose of healthy eating?! Service is usually pretty good, although Friday night is always a zoo and can be very slow on entered.
