Do not shop at this location if you are a vegetarian, they do not care. My wife ordered a salad and called to make sure they do not put chicken on it because she is a vegetarian. When she arrived they told her "we know you didn't want chicken on it, but we put it on it anyways. We're too busy to do our jobs and make it properly, so you can just pick it off. It's right on top." Alarming that this place managed to stay open throughout COVID operating like this. We concur with the prior review indicating poor service. We decided to give this Chili's a try to be objective but we won't frequent this location again. We were seated promptly but passed over by numerous service staff without no acknowledgement or even someone taking our drink order. This has got to be one the WORST meals my Wife and I have ever eaten at one of these Restaurants. We both had margaritas- super sweet fruit juice In a large glass rimed with course sugar ? Alcohol? I had the 1/2 rack of ribs with original sauce Fries and cole slaw The only item that was really warm were the fries My ribs were somewhere between cold and almost Warm The coleslaw was room temp and the dressing Tasted like mayo deluted with tap water no seasoning At all. I've loved Chili's as long as they've been in business. But lately, this location just doesn't seem to care about quality. Maybe due to COVID like everything else, but I'm still expected to give 100% at my job, so I still expect it when I pay money for services. I've contacted Chili's direct but they don't respond. So first, my last chicken sandwich. It was supposed to have blue cheese on it, but it did not. I asked for extra ranch dressing and they drowned my sandwich in it. The guacamole app was a free reward and that's good because it was mostly brown, not fresh. Lastly, I've also had their skillet queso, which contained some type of mystery meat that grossed me out and I couldn't eat it. SO, while I still want to eat at Chili's, this location needs to pay more attention to detail and maybe care a bit about the customer when they express things are wrong. ******3.5 stars******** My first time in a Chilis in years. The service was fast and friendly even though she had many tables. I got a blackberry margarita which was good. Like most places these days you couldn't taste any alcohol. I had three soft tacos that were good but had a kick from the green chilies. Made the mistake of sharing the first bite with my toddler and promptly had to order a glass of milk to soothe her burning taste buds. I also had a side salad that was good - didn't taste like it came out of a bag like most places. The balsamic citrus dressing was pretty good. Only complaint about the salad is the bowl was very small and made it hard to toss. My husband and daughter got the sliders. They said they tasted alright but the buns were burnt so it kind of ruined the burgers. Overall I was pleasantly surprised not having been to a chilies in several years. We are not Winchester locals but would consider eating at another location if we come across one while traveling or something. read more

Went to Chili's for the 4th of July- unamerican we get it. But it was pouring rain and plans got canceled. Assuming Chili's did not expect for people to come in and eat because of the lack of staff in the restaurant. We were finally greeted after about 15-20 mins by a guy that we're not even sure is an actual server- he struggled...immensely, in all aspects. We were informed later that the drinks we ordered were out. After the unstable food delivery to our table, we were missing sides, napkins, and the guacamole that came with the meal. We were informed that past customers "waste" the guac so even though it comes with the meal they don't bring it out unless asked. Something that should have been asked to us when ordering. However, once the fajitas arrived, they were very good. We were able to pay from the kiosk at the table. read more

This evening, 9/22/2019 my family and I (2 adults, 2 children) went to this Chili's to eat dinner. We were seated quickly. The server was quick to get our drink order. A water, 2 kids soda and a Michelob Ultra bottle. Then, the server was nowhere to be seen for almost 10 minutes. She came back with the water and soda but no Michelob. Took our order and again, she disappeared. There was maybe 5 tables of customers in the restaurant. She drops my beer off and I mean literally. She dropped it on the table as she quickly walked by. That would be the last we see her until we are about to leave. The manager comes and refills the drinks and I ordered a second beer. She puts the bill on the table and is off in a rush again. She barely spoke to us. I look at the bill. Charged $5.46 for each beer!!!!! Charged for a Coke we never ordered, and when I asked her if the beer price was right, she cocked an attitude and replied with a very snotty "yea!". This is the 1st and THE LAST time we eat here. Or buy drinks there. $11.92 FOR 2 BEERS is ridiculous. I honestly feel she double charged me for my beer. read more

Went in for lunch today & the food was awful! I ordered fajitas, the chicken was just a sliced chicken breast on top of watery onions & peppers. Not cooked how fajitas usually are. It was obvious that they stuck the entire platter in the oven since my lime was slightly cooked. Zero flavor. I never send food back but I couldn't eat it. The server was fantastic & very attentive(the only positive). I then ordered a buffalo chicken salad, again zero flavor in the dressing, soggy lettuce & the chicken was kind of ick. Felt as if we were a nuisance to the servers. We had no special requests except for an extra plate for my daughter. Had to ask for napkins and refills and boxes.. Otherwise would have gone unnoticed. They were not busy. When we arrived, we were literally the only table in the restaurant. Some 1 top bar stragglers came in during our visit but that was it. Food presentation looked like slop on a plate. Fries were at least 30 minutes old. Rather than complain to server who hated us, we just wanted to get out. Very disappointed. read more

(I hadn't been here in over 3 years) Let's start at the beginning...there are 2 bartenders behind the bar when I arrive & 2 other guests sitting at the bar. After 6 minutes, I'm finally greeted. After another 25 minutes the bartender comes back around to see if I need another beer (I'd placed the empty one on the bar mat 10 minutes ago). I tell him I'd like another. There's a waitress standing there. I turn back to him & say "I've already ordered." Then in a defensive tone he says "No, you haven't!" After looking at him like he's the dumbest person I've ever seen, I say "Yes. I have. You asked me what I'd like and I said 'A half rack of..." He cuts me off "dry rub with fries. My bad, I forgot to ring it in." The waitress can tell I'm pissed & offers me some chips & salsa while I wait. I decline. I sit there for about 5 more minutes. I STILL haven't received my 2nd beer. At this point I look at my watch and realize I've been here 50 minutes, have only received one beer and no food. I decide to walk out (on the bar tab, too) and never come back. There's nothing super special about the Chili's here in Winc, its like any other Chili's anywhere else. That's not always a bad thing, because its not a bad chain. I do have to say though that the service at this one has gone down hill over the years. I used to always have good experiences with waiters/hosts but now it's very hit or miss. Our waiter was a bit off, I'm not sure if he was having a bad day but his service just wasn't very friendly, he never smiled, he seemed to be forgetting quite a bit as well. It could be just his type of personality or like I said maybe his day wasn't going well but it wasn't a good service experience. The food was pretty standard. My friend got the fried pickles and they were barely fried. It was more like warm pickles with flakes of crust from the fryer sprinkled over. I must say though that my potato soup was pretty delicious but I mean you can never go wrong with cheese and bacon, right? Overall I'd say this place is just okay. Service isn't great, food isn't slap your mom amazing, and at the end of the day its just a Chili's. read more

Ok so me and the family have went to the chili's in Winchester twice in the past few months.The first trip was a disaster as we had to wait 20 minutes before we even had a waitress come by and when she did she completely messed up all 5 of our meals.No condiments with our appetizer and things left off our orders and things added we didn't even order.So I naturally asked for the manager after wards she comped the meal which was nice but 25 minutes later we never saw our waitress again so the manager stops by and asked how it was going and I told her we dont have a waitress as she walked by us several times and wouldn't make eye contact.Then she gave us free dessert and 30 minutes went by that never came needless to say we just got up and walked out.So today we tried again and sat there for 20 minutes again while the girl who sat us walked by several times and people were sat after us and got immediate service so we walked again we wasnt gonna let it get to where it was like last time.This place is poorly managed and has very poor service I will never enter that restaurant again and do not recommend it to anyone. read more

The restaurant was empty. I can see why. It'll be a long time before I come back, if ever. So once again we tried this Chili's location.... The food was great, but you can tell the service or management is lacking. No one seems happy... The host was not engaging, it took 10 minutes for the server to come to the table. Either the host sat us in a closed section or the server just was very attentive. When she did come to the table she did not change our mood. She did not appologize for our obvious wait, she did not even talk to our son that said hi to her. She was somewhat attentive but not great. Our drinks did not stay full and the call server was blinking on that self checkout for 15 for assistants. This is all very sad, we use to go to this location every other week or every week. Now with the last two times either our food was under cooked or the service does not meet our expectation. This is the second time I've eaten here in the past month, but the third time I visited. The first time was just okay. Nothing to write home about. Not bad, just not that great either. This was at lunchtime and I had my go to salad, Boneless Buffalo Chicken. A little too heavy on the dressing, but okay. The second time I ended up walking out (lunchtime again 11:30-11:40). Several employees walked by and never acknowledged I was even there. Waited about 10 minutes and no one showed up to seat me. Tonight was the last chance and they blew it-big time. Seated pretty quickly, drink order taken fairly quickly and food order went in timely also. Again, went with my go to salad, Boneless Buffalo Chicken. There was sooo much dressing, it was inedible, the lettuce was limp and lifeless and the only thing I could taste was the deessing. It was disgusting. The chicken was overly salty and didn't have much buffalo sauce. The waitress's family came in shortly before our food arrived and sat at the table next to us. She spent all her time with them and never came back to our table except to drop off the check. The manager was too preoccupied busing tables to be concerned with how the restaurant was running. We were loyal customers, eating 3 to 4 times a week. Servers and some management members knew us as well. Servers who knew us, and serving other tables would stop by to chat for a moment or two. We were always warmly welcomed. It seemed over time service and the quality of food started to wane. It came to a head when steaks ordered well done were served burnt, desserts we loved and ate two days earlier were no longer available/removed from the menu (we understand menus change/updated), ingredients to foods not available, shortage of servers, common alcoholic drinks not available. Our favorite "watering hole", has now become our previous one. We are now we looking for a restaurant we can call home. Yelp reviews will definitely be a tool we will be using. read more

Not sure how other people had such bad experiences... I'm sitting at the table for my second experience at this location. The first was SO incredible, I figured it must have been a fluke. But to my delight, the Sante Fe chicken salad is just as scrumptious as the first time! (It's my favorite dish here.) Having eaten at Chili's all over the U.S., I can boldly say that THIS location makes the best Sante Fe! I had let the server who seated me know that I was in a hurry and, by the time my booty hit the seat, another server was there, ready to take my order! I had almost just stopped for fast food, because of my hurry... but I really wanted a good salad. SO happy I came here! Even with as much of as hurry as I am in to get home and meet a serviceman, I'm taking the time to type this as I eat. That's how impressed I am!:-) The last time, I was here with my husband. Just finished a 5 hour drive and we decided to get curbside pickup. We saw them look at us multiple times inside from the door. They had packaged up our meal and it was sitting on the counter. We waited 5-10 minutes and then went in. Multiple waiters saw me but did not ask if I needed help. Finally when someone did I clarified if curbside meant bring it your car and they said yes it did. Awesome menu selection, we could not decide what to eat there were so many options! Our server, Lacey, was fantastic. I must've had at least 5 refills and she was right on it. It was an absolutely wonderful dining experience! As a side note, there was a table 2 down from us with a complete ass of a woman. She complained to a manager and talked down to her server like a dog, said it took 20 minutes to get drinks when they'd only been in the restaurant maybe 8 minutes and their server had been double sat. I LOVE Chili's. In fact, it's my favorite restaurant. However, the Winchester location puts the name to shame. Every time we go, we're there for at least an hour and a half to two hours simply waiting to get our food. The service is TERRIBLE. Sure, most of the employees are pleasant, but there's a few there who act like your existence is legitimately an inconvenience to them. It says a lot that if I see too many commercials and develop a craving for Chili's, I drive 45 minutes to the Martinsburg location. It also says a lot that I'd rather drive 45 minutes to the crap hole that is Martinsburg than drive 15 minutes to the Winchester location. Really disappointed- went there just to break the routine of our usual dining spots and was sad to see how far downhill it has gone. Despite there being no line we had to wait for an indifferent hostess to show up and seat us - the food was cold/overcooked and just bad, also it took a long time. Despite the 2 1/2 star rating, we, decided to give it a try. We were travelling through the area. I wish I could give a higher score, but that would be lying. Went in early Sunday evening. The place was 1/3 full. Had to wait about 4 minutes before being notice to get seated. Then waited 15 minutes for a server; I eventually asked a passing server. The waitress was,.. unfocused. Once we ordered the wait for the entree' was exceptionally long. I had the enchiladas - they were tasty, served with beans and rice. The other person had steak fajitas - steak was too tough to eat. The manager came to inquire about the meal. She stated that the server had asked her to stop by. We explained how our experience was. The minuses: burgers were tasty, and looks so good we kept working on them in spire of them messing up badly on the cooking time. Asked for medium-rare, got medium-well. Sides were fine. Nothing to get excited about, but fine. Margaritas--I was not thrilled with mine. Missus hated hers. These were the house margaritas on happy hour, so clearly they are cutting corners somewhere on these--making up a big batch in advance--skimping on ingredients--something.
