Too bad I don't live in area. Found this place while visiting area. It was an early dinner for three of us so they were not busy. We sat inside which has limited seating. We ordered a three meat platter to share which was more than enough. We decided on brisket, pulled pork, ribs, baked beans and mac & cheese. Also ordered the loaded fries. Our son thought he needed a side salad while ordering which was too much food. The baked beans had more meat than beans. All meats were tender and taste great. Might be back in area in June and want to visit again.

Driving back to Washington, D.C. after a weekend in Romney, West Virginia riding the Potomac Eagle, we stopped at Bonnie Blue in Winchester on a Sunday morning. Being a perfect autumn day, they had lots of seating outdoors on their patios. To feed three of us, we ordered their highly recommended pork chops, which sounded odd at first for breakfast, but it was delicious. The pork chops were perfectly cooked and juicy. The brisket eggs benedict were tasty too. We enjoyed the Mason Jar Mimosas. The latte was just okay. Overall, it was a great experience! Staff were very friendly and quick!

We went on a weekend and parking is scarce in the lot associated with Bonnie Blue (we got lucky with our timing). There is also street parking available, if you're able to find a spot. Service was average, nothing to rave about and got the job done. And food was average. I'd be down to come back and try their brunch items, maybe some fish, but I'll go elsewhere for my BBQ. What we got: Burnt Ends - 3* comes smothered in sauce which is never, in my opinion, a good sign because it doesn't let the meat speak for itself. I probably wouldn't get it again. "The Diesel" Three Meat Sampler (see the three meats we got below) - 4* great price for the ability to sample three different meats. We didn't love that the meat came out with an additional sauce poured over it, we would've rather had that separate to apply ourselves . Peppered Beef Brisket - 3* I wanted to like it more than I did. It was a bit chewy and the flavour was only alright. Pulled Pork - 3.5* decent meat but also not exceptional. House Smoked Kielbasa - 3.5* good flavour but a bit dry. My favourite of all the meats though. I do wonder if I liked it the best because it wasn't smothered in their house sauce... Side: Hill County Pinto - 4* I really enjoyed them, don't think I've ever had pinto beans for my baked beans before. Side: Mac & Cheese - 3* nothing special, wouldn't get again. Bread: Buttermilk Biscuits - 3.5* wish it came with butter and jam.

Funky quirky BBQ place that used to be an old Esso gas station. Parking is on the street. When walking by, you can see & smell the smoker. We walked in & there is very little seating so we sat at a counter looking outside. We enjoyed the chicken salad, collard greens, potato salad, mac & cheese, & burnt ends app. All were excellent. The burnt ends sauce was Asian-like & a little too sweet for me. The owner was gracious & very nice to us. I also enjoyed some local Chardonnay. Definitely a place to check out!

What a laid-back ambience you will find at Bonnie Blue's! The dining area is decorated with antiques and tin signs right out of grandma's attic. There are some large tables that can accommodate a party of six to eight and a bar with stools around the outer wall of the dining room. Although there were only two of us, we were invited to take one of the larger tables for our comfort. We ate lunch on a summer day. It was rather warm in the dining room as I don't believe that there is any air conditioning here. The fried chicken dinner was some of the best around anywhere. I recommend it highly.

True Southern hospitality they weren't even open yet and they said sit down. I'll give you a cup of coffee. Incredible waitress, very caring made strong recommendations of what they were good at and have you ever had a crabcake that's a size of a pancake that's what I had on my eggs Benedict this morning. They made their own bread that's so tasty and it was so much food. We couldn't even finish it so we had to take our yummy potatoes home. We look forward to trying our cinnamon roll. It is a big location, but it was filling up quickly this on a Saturday morning.

Quirky quaint resto in old gas station w patio seating. Tried the fried chx lunch w 2 sides mac n cheese, fried apples n that amazing pullman toast. Generous portions, fried n breaded w plenty of black pepper n herbs reminiscent to sausage gravy. Defo a keeper on my list. Other things to try shrimp n grits, biscuits n gravy, french toast, handmade bacon, bbq meat sampler, fri nite supper including ribeye steak and cinnamon rolls (avail weekends). If rollin thru this is defo a stop to make. Plus super friendly peeps.

We went here on a recommendation. Love this local spot which has smoked meats on site. They have a nice brunch menu. Eggs w/ pulled pork & a biscuit. Regular breakfast too. Both the French toast and pancakes looked amazing. They have family meals to go with 2 or 3 meats plus sides. They have an assortment of baked goods too. Our server Luke was fantastic. Indoor & outdoor seating. The decor is eclectic. The only bad thing is only one bathroom. Limited parking.

    Chicken and waffles, french toast

Such a delicious brunch gem in Winchester! I got the french toast with breakfast potatoes and a side of bacon. Classic and delicious. I also tried the chicken and waffles. Not the biggest fan of sausage gravy, so I got that on the side. I wasn't a big fan of the spicy syrup it was served with, but it was superb with regular syrup that came with the french toast. The chicken was my favorite thing out of everything we had. It was ginormous and crispy on the outside and juicy on the inside. There's both inside and outside seating and it's a charming spot overall.

Catfish, mac n cheese, fries, fried oysters , cornbread and biscuit.

Incredibly nice and hospitable and provided excellent service. The inside is cute and quaint and you can tell this restaurant was a dream! The inside is small but gives a more intimate feel. The food was not great. The place has amazing reviews, so maybe we stumbled on the wrong food. They don't have a kids menu but have basic pastas for kids. We got ours a spaghetti and meatballs which was a large portion. The sauce tasted can like. I had the shrimp pesto. The sauce was more liquid than a thick creamy pesto, which I normally don't mind. The gnocchi was good but the sauce was heavily seasoned and not super delicious. The shrimp was a large portion and okay. My boyfriend had the lobster risotto. The actually risotto was good but the lobster was tough and overcooked. I only saw pasta selections and not a lot of appetizers. We had the fried Brie cheese which was pretty good. I really enjoyed the bread but had to ask for olive oil. They have a house made eggplant that I didn't care for. The prices were outrageous. Our dinner cost $150 with no alcohol. Overall would not come back, which makes me sad for the business :(

After a very long hike in the morning, the wife and I decided to pick up something for lunch. And while looking for something new in the area, the wife decided to give this place a shot. We stopped by the place which is tucked in between some other warehouse stores, in the corner, not on the main road. We decided to order our food and Chef Pat was so kind and professional, he stopped by our car in the parking lot as we were struggling to find the place. The food we ordered is in the pictures, jerk chicken, Ackee & Saltfish, Mango Rum Cake, conch fritters, plantains and some beans and rice. We were running late, so the chef said they will deliver the food to our place. When the food was delivered to us, there was some miscommunication between what was ordered vs. delivered. However, when we called them, they apologized for the mistake and took care of it right away. After all this, I was, tbh, a little upset. And we sat down to open our delivery boxes since we were super hungry. As the lids opened, the aroma of the food filled the area. My frown turned into a smile right away. Now, I was getting excited to try the food, everything was packed very nicely for delivery, & was still nice and warm. Once we started tasting the dishes, I was floored. I have to say, by far, very very far, this is the best Caribbean food I have had in the US, thus far. The jerk chicken is cooked to perfection, I believe the chef mentioned they make it fresh everyday. The plantains were just so amazing, caramelized to perfection. The conch fritters were a perfect accompaniment with a sweet and spicy sauce. What truly left me speechless was the ackee and Saltfish, I cannot even begin to describe how good that dish was. I am a fan of Caribbean food now, if it's this good! To finish off, we split the Mango Rum Cake, where all we kept saying, after every bite was "yummm", as we kept closing our eyes to experience that perfect finishing touch to our meal. The food was cooked with a lot of skill, care and tons of love. The staff is coming up to speed and being trained, but the attitude of the chef is super professional and customer care oriented. A Hell Yeah 5 Star Review! Will keep going here, for sure. Wish you much success...!!!

Island Food To Go is an operation ran by Chef Pat, and you can really taste the authenticity in his food. You pre-order via calling the number or directly texting the number that is provided and then you can pick up the food curb-side, or you can have it delivered to your home. The jerk chicken was mind-blowingly good; the jerk marinade was so well-balanced and it had just the right amount of heat for my taste. The salt-fish and ackee dish was so delicious! Combine that with the red beans and rice and you have a comforting and delicious meal that is soul-satisfying. With each entree you have a choice of either white rice, yellow rice or red beans and rice. The mango rum cake we ordered was moist, buttery and perfectly baked. I can't wait to order their caribbean spice cake next time. There was a massive mix-up in terms of what was charged and what was actually delivered when the delivery driver delivered our food, but the business owner was quick to rectify the driver's mistake. They are still fairly new and fine-tuning their logistics, but with their level of professionalism and superior quality of food, I see this place becoming a big success. Can't wait to order my next meal from them!
