Same family running it for years, and you feel that the second you walk in. Everything about this place screams family. The walls are covered with news articles and photos of famous folks who've eaten here, and some of the same faces have been behind the counter for as long as I can remember. That kind of consistency is rare, and it's a big part of the charm. I always go for a West Virginia and an MOC, but don't pass on the corn dogs either. And the cheese fries? Perfectly crisp, holding up under all that cheese the way good fries should. Here's the fun part: say "I love Bob Cousy" or "Larry Bird" for a free drink refill, and if you happen to be in town when the Red Sox win the World Series, the baked beans are on the house.

The nostalgia hit me the second we walked in. The inside hasn't changed a bit, and honestly, that's what makes this place so special. In a world full of corporate chains and overdone concepts, Arbetter's is the real deal of authentic, classic, and full of character. I loved seeing the old Larry Bird poster still on the wall, the photos of infamous locals, and that beautifully simple menu that proves you don't need a hundred options when you've perfected what you do. I had the C.O. hot dog with cheese fries, and my boyfriend went with the chili cheese onion dog. Absolute perfection. You simply do not mess with a formula this good. Every bite brought back memories, and somehow it tasted exactly as amazing as I remembered. This little hole-in-the-wall will forever be ingrained in my memory as THE best hot dog spot. The service is lightning fast, the few tables inside stay packed, and the turnover is nonstop but they've got the system down to a science. If you're from Miami, you already know. If you're not, make the trip.

You go in, place your order, and wait to be called to pick up. They have speakers outside so you can grab a table while you wait. The menu is very latin, cachapas, arepas, chicharron, tacos, tostones... but they also have burgers and hotdogs. I had the Cheese Cachapa with chicken, and chicharron. The Chicharron was perfectly fried and, and the cachapa was delicious, especially with the nata sauce. Portions are generous so we had leftovers. Service is informal, don't expect a warm and friendly welcome, think more fast-food personality, but they get the job done. So, a great place for a quick stop with good food.

The outside area to eat was perfect. When we arrived we got a table in the shade and took turns watching the dog and going in to order lunch. I walked into a place that just was Doral. Or as the side of their delivery van said, "Doralzuela". It was a good think my Spanish is passable, ordering was all in Spanish. I got the special hotdog, and the arepa con queso. My gal got the chicharron and cachapa de queso y pollo. The latter was the overall winner. The cachapa was excellent, but so was the layered hotdog and the chicharron was exceptional. The price was great and the food was so good and so Miami, perfecto. This is a spot you wanna put on your must list.

From when we entered to when we left people were coming in non stop. So I knew from the start it was gonna be good. The owner was behind the counter taking orders. Another good sign. I ended up ordering the Pepiarepa with mixed meats (Chicken and Steak). It was not only delicious but a good portion that I ended up taking half home. And I'm sure they expected it because they brought it to me already in a to go box. Lol. I also tried a drink called Papelon with Limon and it was amazing. Think ice tea mixed with tamarind juice with a hint of lemon. It was refreshing and sour at the same time. Ask for a side of ice to tame it down and it's perfection. The owner later came by to check on us and even recommended us to try putting some sauces on our meal which they had on the table. The pink one had a kick which really took my Pepiarepa to another level. I ended up taking a jar of Dulce de Lechosa home which was obviously homemade and looked delicious. Definitely recommend this spot for great Venezuelan food.

There were tomatos, cucumbers, lettuce and shredded carrots. I got the ginger dressing on the side. My friend got the baked empanada with shredded beef. He said it was delicious, fresh and full of flavor. Overall, wonderful experience and will be back soon!

The food definitely doesn't hold back, everything is bold and indulgent, and you can mix and match combos to your heart's content. The only reason it's not a full 5 stars is that it can get a little greasy at times, but honestly, that's part of the guilty-pleasure vibe. Other than that... soooo good.

The service was friendly and the food was cooked fresh to order. I got the Mac Daddy with the Fatman Sauce and potato sticks and a side of Fatman Tots with Tot Sauce. First off, the Mac Daddy was MINDBLOWING. The dog was girthy and savory, almost like a kielbasa. The mac and cheese was creamy, the Fatman sauce gave it a nice kick and the potato sticks gave a welcome crunchy texture. The Fatman Tots were heavily seasoned before even dipping into the Tot Sauce, which was savory, sour, and slightly sweet. I might have preferred the Fatman Sauce to dip because the tot sauce plus the tot seasoning was a little too much for me, but that's just personal preference. Tot sauce with plain tots would be fire, too. Did I drive two hours roundtrip for a hot dog? Yes I did, and I would do it again for this place anytime.
