I felt the last place she should have been in was at front desk because she was not just bad in attitude, but actually down right rude to guests! She was the only detraction from this wonderful, relaxing and beautiful Diamond Resort, of which I have been a proud member of for 23 years!

I paid approximately $6,500 for an 8-9 day stay, and unfortunately the room felt very old and dated. There was also a noticeable old/musty smell that made the room feel even more worn. The biggest issue by far was the bathroom. The room had a huge jacuzzi tub that did not work, yet the shower was located inside this tub. To take a shower, you had to climb over an unusually large, high step and into the tub. Getting in was inconvenient, but getting back out while wet was genuinely concerning. The large tiled step is directly outside the tub, and one slip could result in a very serious fall or head injury. I'm surprised this setup is still being used in a hotel at this price point. The attached photo shows exactly what I mean. For approximately $6,500, I expected a much more updated, comfortable, and safer room. The property needs significant renovation, particularly the bathrooms. The location is excellent, and that is what brought my rating up to three stars. Without the location, I would have rated the stay lower.

You join the club to store your gear, get valet parking, use the hot tub, and enjoy the lounge when you want to as a paying member. I was able to do 2 out of the 4. On the plus side - good snacks but not sure they are worth the close to $15k spent on membership fees (that increased 100% last year).

On our first full day at the lodge we saw a moose with her two calves. Later, two juvenile red-tailed hawks frequently rested on the rocks by the creek that runs next to the house. A fox and deer visited as well. The manager of the property, Meg, was very accessible, and tended to all our needs. She is a warm, friendly person, as is Chef Renee. Breakfasts were quite a treat, and the evening meals were akin to fine dining. We planned our vacation for over a year, as this was our first extended family trip in quite a while. We came from Washington, Oregon, Georgia, and North Carolina. Wyoming and The Wildflower Lodge did not disappoint. None of us were ready to leave when our week was up. An epic vacation!

Service is spotty, the manager is great and takes ownership when needed. The staff can be hit or miss, which is standard in this area as so many feel entitled or have some other kind of attitude like they are only there as a favor to their employer. Great location with good nearby eats. I'll stay there more because the price point is one of the best.
