First. The store is clean and well lit. And there's lots of flavors to choose from. So, why only 3 stars? The worst mint chip ice cream I've ever had. Minimal mint. And "chips" were huge chunks. Way too large. The size of Hershey squares. But the real disappointment? Not a single dairy free or lactose free option. You can opt for the sorbet and OD on sugar. And a single scoop in a cone is $5.25. Order a single in a cup and the price jumps to $6. Why? The server claimed a cup scoop is larger than a cone scoop. Finally, after my wife made it clear she couldn't order anything, the same kid asked her 3 more times what she's like. Great listener. Not an impressive visit. read more

I'm a sucker for an ice cream parlor, and it ain't very hard to get me to slap a five star review on one, but Graeter's earned all of it. They make ice cream fun, plus they have a whole assortment of cakes, chocolates, and anything other goodies one might want. Very friendly staff quick with helpful recommendations. And this may seem like a simple thing, but it's really helpful; the menu wall was so clear, concise, and informative. Graeter's is famous for blackberry chip, and it does look delicious. I sprang for a sundae with the dark chocolate brownie and midnight chip. A healthy serving and excellent ice cream. It is a bit pricey, but I think the value for money is there. Additionally, the place was very clean and orderly. Would return and heartily recommend. read more

One thing was missing. It was their gloves. My cone broke and they flipped my icecream into another cone (three people, 6 gloveless hands). Whilst doing so they exclaimed," I promise I'm not touching your ice cream." There's simply not a chance this happened, and even if they didn't touch my ice cream, they definitely touched the cone which is still apart of the sweet treat. We downloaded the app and receive bonus offers, points for purchase, and can peruse the up to date menu selection. Very convenient location in a strip mall off of Charlestown Road, clean and well lit establishment if you venture inside to snag pre packaged ice cream out of the freezer display case, and has a drive through with what I consider to be fairly late hours the last time that we checked -- open until 10 PM. We've been coming here for many, many years. But, we haven't been here for quite some time. We've always enjoyed their ice cream. Today, I found one thing to be odd. I'm not even sure I understood exactly what one of our server's was saying. What I got out of it was: They can't sell you two large scoops in one order??. They can sell you two smaller scoops, but not two of the larger scoops. IF I understood correctly, that's the craziest thing I've ever heard. You can't beat Graeter's for ice cream. I'm pretty sure this is what the eat in Valhalla. My favorite is black raspberry chip. Their s'mores flavor is excellent, too. Chocolate can't be beat. Yes! I am a fan of Graeter's Ice Cream. I was first introduced to their ice cream while living in GA, sold at Publix. It is expensive (I'd say very expensive), but so well worth it upon the first bite. Their ice cream is very smooth and creamy containing quality ingredients. NEVER - have I experienced the grainy texture like you sometimes get from other high-end (and over priced) ice cream brands. The chocolate they use is out of this world - to the point it nearly satisfies me more than my beloved Hershey's. Needless to say, I was super elated when I saw a physical location in the Kentuckiana area (GA didn't have). My all time favorite flavor is the Black Raspberry Chocolate Chip. A couple of days ago I mixed it with the Black Cherry Chocolate Chip and it was a double divine ice cream dream. The employees are always, always nice no matter how short-staffed they are (which happens) or how busy. On my last visit a couple of days ago, the employee was working alone and the drive-thru signal bell kept dinging along with the entrance doors constantly swinging open with incoming customers. The young man was even-tempered, friendly, and made it a point to acknowledge every customer and to assure them he'll be with them soon. Quality customer service was also served. read more

This is hands down the best ice cream we've ever had. Not only the quality of the ice cream being the best, but the service too. The staff were friendly and professional and I have already started recommending this to my friends. What looked like the manager or GM was in the lobby doing some paperwork and helped explain the ice cream making process, and that may not seem like a big deal, but it was the best experience ever. You can also buy their flavors to go from thier stores. They make thier own chocolate to go into the ice cream. The ice cream is french pot, creamy and smooth. This trip, my friend ordered a Sunday. My friends and I ordered medium milkshakes. Before making them she asks us if they are both mediums right? And we said yes.
