Linebergers is ALWAYS good, and is a common trend between get-togethers within my family. Be warned, there is no signal for your phone, nor any WiFi. They used to have a sign that said "No WiFi, talk to each other," But didn't see it this time around. Anyways, Linebergers is a great spot to eat at if you are looking for some good food in the Lake Norman-Mooresville area. This is a fairly casual steakhouse, so if you don't dress up you won't be the odd ball in the room, but you certainly have a choice. Every server is fantastic. They are friendly, they treat you like family, and are quick. To my knowledge, almost every entree comes with a trip to the salad bar. They have the BEST salad bar. DO NOT SKIP ON THE SALAD BAR! They also give you warm rolls with "Texas Roadhouse style" honey butter to start. I highly recommend the prime rib as an entree. Don't get me wrong, it's not the absolute best prime rib I have ever had, but it is up there. It has great flavor, is seasoned well, and is tender. Their creamy horseradish is just ok, but that does not ruin the quality of the meat. The last couple of times they put chopped onions in my mac-and-cheese, which was weird and didn't taste good at all, but luckily this time there were no chopped onions. Both my older and younger cousins got the mac-and-cheese also, and one said that the cheese was too bland, while the other said that the cheese was too strong (sharp). Me personally I think that it is on the more bland side, so Linebergers can take that advice and apply it into their recipe, but nonetheless it is still good. They have the best dessert called the "Lake Norman Mudd Pie," which is essentially a layer of vanilla, coffee, and chocolate ice cream with hot fudge, whipped cream, and Oreo pieces. It is a good treat to have every once in a while, but is rich!! But, if you want a sweet treat, I would recommend opting for that. As a summary, the hospitality at Linebergers is unbeatable and has some pretty solid food (don't forget about the incredible salad bar). Once again, if you are in the area, do not miss out. My prime rib was tough enough that I had to saw through it. It also had a seasoning that did not compliment the meat. I did not eat but three bites so I'm taking $32 worth of beef to my dog. The tuna recipe changed. It was very bland and there was no Catalina/French dressing. I was so disappointed because I've been saving up to go. Very disappointed. Our service wasn't very good. It took 10 minutes with them to even bring us water. I was very thin and full of fat ordered, medium rare and received well done sent it back. By then the people I was with had already finished their meal. Used to be a great place to come. Won't be back for a while. Hopefully they improve Service and food. read more

Last time I ate in (for my birthday about a month ago) and ordered the fried mushrooms they were great, however the burger I ordered came well done (I ordered med-rare) and it took until the guests I ate with were finished (almost 30 minutes) to get a freshly cooked one. Today I ordered fried mushrooms to pick up and arrived 25 minutes early. They were already waiting and needless to say cold and soggy. I waited another 20 minutes to get 'freshly cooked' ones and as I was leaving the parking lot opened them up and they were lukewarm. I was not going in again and waiting another 20 minutes. Not impressed with the quality of cooking or temperature of the food. With the volume they do you would think they could get it right. read more

The food was cooked to perfection and one of the best Ribeye steaks we have ever had. The large salad bar is great as well.. with plenty of items to choose from. Aside from the delicious meal, our waitress, Analise, did a wonderful job serving us and making sure to assist us throughout our meal. She was also very knowledgeable of the menu and steak seasonings , which helped us decide on a meal choice when we ordered our meal. It took way to long to get our food and then it was room temperature so it was taken back to be replaced but once replaced you could tell it was just reheated and we were charged full price for 4 shrimp. Fast and attentive service, but the food was a bit of a letdown. Sorry to buck the trend here but this place strikes me as an attempt to be a fancy Sizzler. The salad bar was decent, well stocked with a variety of dressings and good selection of toppings/addons to boot. While I'm not familiar with what other options are in the area, there has to be a better steak place than this, my steak tasted too much like the grille. It's been a staple here on Lake Norman for years. Have always enjoyed dining here although when we lived in Cornelius, NC, I was a bit out for the way. My sister and I even took our parents here for their 50th Anniversary. My father loved this place. We move to Denver in July 2020 which is somewhat closer and we planned on dining there more frequently but then Covid hit and our dining out took a hit. That said, the restaurant was also sold in early 2021 to and out of state couple albeit with years of experience in the Mississippi area. They made a pledge to keep the traditions in regard to the menu, ambience and staffing that the original owners had established. Finally got around to seeing if that was the case and I'm pleased to say that they kept their promise. We drove up for dinner Saturday before last. On Saturdays, the open at 4:00pm and we arrived around 4:30pm and the parking lot was already packed. We were told it would be about a 15 minute wait which is exactly what it turned out to be. We were escorted back to a table across from the Salad Bar. The Salad Bar was and is one of the great points about this restaurant. No major changes from the old version except I think the ham was a finer dice. My wife ordered the Petite Filet Mignon with French Fries, and I had the Garlic Peppercorn Steak with Fried Onion Straws and a baked Potato with Sour Cream and Butter. She ordered Her's medium well and I asked for mine, medium rare. Both came out perfect. Place always had a Western Atmosphere with dark pine paneling and numerous animal heads. Has not changed. As mentioned, the Salad Bar is great, and the service is excellent as well. Glad the old/new Lineberger's is still the same and will become part of our regular dining experience. Ordinarily Linebergers is a pretty good place to eat, but on new years eve we had a terrible meal. The salad bar was good, but the steak and side were awful. The steak and potato were received 40 to 45 minutes after we had finished our salads. The sweet potato was charred and the steak was full of fat and grisele. It was a waste of $100. read more

Omg we love this place, and drive an hour to get to it . Please open another restaurant near Matthews !! . First of all I cannot tell you how good the salad bar is . We've been coming here for at least 6 years and it Is always fresh and delicious. I challenge anyone to say there is a better one. With new owners taking over in the last year, the menu selections have gotten better, and the food is always hot and delicious .I even think the cocktail menu got beefed up. On this night, I had the fried shrimp and loaded tots, and hubby had the porkchop .Both were so good. I've also had the 1/2 roasted chicken and it was amazingly moist. We will continue to drive the miles to get there, because we are drawn in by that super fresh salad bar. read more

My husband's steak was cooked perfectly med rare but mine was burned up beyond repair. They were extremely apologetic and promised another steak cooked properly asap. Over 10 minutes later, still no steak. By this time my husband had completely finished his meal. One of the management came by several times to check on my steak which still hadn't arrived so we asked for it to go.
