My husband and I had Friday night plans that fell through, but when you have a babysitter (thanks, Gramps!) you make the most of it! I called to make a 7:30 reservation about 4:30 the same day. We would have been happy to sit at the bar, but when we got there, our table was already available, so we got a bottle of wine to split. The server told us about the off-menu appetizer special that we always get: delicious bang bang shrimp. It had been a while, and we were excited about the new menu options. My husband had The Rockefeller (6 oz filet with fried oysters and creamed spinach), and I had The Oak Island (6 oz filet with 3 scallops and mushrooms). I was a little surprised about the mushrooms because they were barely sautéed and a little garlic seemed to be the only seasoning. I would have loved them with the Pinot reduction on the scallops, or some balsamic vinegar. Regardless, we had a great meal, and decided to have dessert while we finished our wine. I couldn't pass up the coconut creme cake (good with strawberries added on top, but not necessary for those of us who love coconut cake). My husband got the bread pudding (a huge portion) and we took bread pudding home to thank the baby sitter. We love Chillfire! That is our "goto" restaurant and it never disappoints! Food is consistently great and the Waitstaff are always warm and friendly! Shout out to Angela, Kristy, Stephanie who have taken care of us often! If you are looking for a great Happy Hour place -look no further! Lauren and Marc are fantastic and lots of fun. The bar bites menu is very good too... all delicious. As far as food recommendations- Shanghai Shrimp as an App and all the steaks are top notch. Excellent food and staff. You may think this is a simple bar and grill. Then you would be wrong. It is a very high end steakhouse with a lot of dishes that make it an excellent sub for a simple bar and grill. The bar is very well stocked and the drinks come out like they are expected to. Come here often, and it is consistently good. Great friendly atmosphere, good variety of food, great drinks and pours. Very nice wine list, premium bourbons. Definitely a great choice for dinner and will satisfy most hungry people. An accommodate large parties as well, cater, to go , and always very helpful with large parties. Highly recommend! read more

We tried Chillfire for the 1st time & had amazing service. We came in a bit earlier for our reservation so grabbed a drink at the bar standing. We were greeted very shortly by Taylor. She was great! We then were moved to our table where we ordered their appetizer special Shanghai Shrimp & Cheese Bread. Both were amazing. For entrees we ordered the ribeye with mashed potatoes, wedge salad, truffle fries, and Mac n cheese. Steak was 8/10. Size of wedge salad entree compared to price was amazing! The truffle fries and Mac n cheese were unseasoned unfortunately. We ended the night with the chocolate cake and NY cheesecake. Desserts were delicious. Jenny was our server and she was fabulous! Eh, wasn't that impressed! I wouldn't consider this a "high-end" restaurant. Mediocre in my opinion but decent for what's around Denver.

The service was fine. The filets were terrible. My husband and I each ordered medium. One was medium rare in center and over cooked the rest of the way. The other filet was very well done even the center was medium well with no flavor. Very disappointed and let the assistant manager know we will not return. These meals should have been taken off the bill . Our server was great and apologized. read more

We have usually had a good experience-(table of 6). My Dad and I both ordered the handcut Ribeye- (the most expensive thing on the menu.) We recieved 2 New York Strips- (which were cooked nicely) but I called the manager over and told him that they delivered the wrong cut. The manager looked me dead in the face and said - "that is a hand cut Ribeye!!!" This was 100% a New York Strip with zero fat. I have been on a carnivore diet for weeks now, I eat 4 to 6 steaks a day, I know the difference between and lean narrow NY Strip and a round "marbled with fat" Ribeye. Unreal!!! I did not make a scene but I will not be going back. read more

I've been here a handful of times and the food and drinks just doesn't disappoint. The lobster mac is just PERFECT. I wish it stayed on the menu. It's mouth watering! The burger is also just the right amount of juiciness, the sides are all equally amazing, special shout out to the truffle fries and pilaf though... all in all, The food is always quality, and the wine list is ample- the lemonade is local (owner's wife works there), and you're just always taken care here by the wait staff- the only neglect is they've never opened the door for me at the front- and I'm traveling in with a stroller which takes a little more time- it's a small detail but an area of improvement- imagine a person in a wheelchair trying to open the double doors. read more
