I hadn't heard of Chili Chicken House before making a recent visit, but based on the name alone, I was completely intrigued and on board. We arrived shortly after they opened and the place was already about half full, which I took to be a very good sign. Obviously we had to order the Chili Chicken, and we decided to go with the "gravy" option. We also got an order of the Hakka Chow Mein and an extra rice. The food arrived a short time later and the portions were absolutely massive. We were positive we'd wind up taking a bunch home but the food was so delicious that we gobbled everything up. And yeah, the food is next-level good. The chili chicken is probably the best variation of this dish I've ever had, as all the components worked so well together and the layers of flavor kept revealing themselves the longer we ate. The noodles were almost as good. I mean, obviously they were good since we ate everything in sight. The pronounced wok hei flavor kept me coming back for more again and again. This is a terrific joint, and I'll definitely be returning.

Chilli Chicken and the Manchurian chow mein!

Great portions, ordered the chilli chicken and Manchurian chow mein! Was delicious, service was quick, very friendly and reasonably priced! . However, the rice, was cold and clumpy, maybe a day old. But overall, would be coming back!

Chilli Chicken House in Mississauga hits the spot. Packed with flavor, perfectly spiced, and worth the visit.

I've been hearing a lot of good things about this place. I think it lives to the hype, we ordered the Manchurian fried rice, crispy beef, chilli chicken and chicken pakora, hot and sour soup. I think it is slightly better than Fredericks's but not by much. The hot and sour soup was really good we told them to add less salt to everything because Hakka food has a lot of salt. The chicken pakora was really good, crispy and chicken was tender and you have to eat with the chilli sauce. The crispy beef was the least favourite dish because it was so sweet, the chilli chicken gravy tasted really good with the chillies and you have to eat that with the white rice. The fried rice tasted awesome had heat and it was hot and so good, that you can eat by itself I think that was my favourite. Overall really good Hakka food can make improvements with the crispy beef because that is ridiculously sweet but good food.

Crispy beef is ginger beef basically. It was pretty good: slightly spicy & crispy, with a good ginger edge. Hot garlic shrimp was decent: it was just a chili & ginger flavour & was a bit one-dimensional.

As always, the best Indo chinese food ever. This time we just planned the trip in the morning, drove for 1 n half hours, to get just their amazing indo chinese dishes. That speaks a lot about our commitment to their dishes. As always since forever, their chili chicken gravy is the best. The dry version is beautiful to taste as well. The chicken manchurian is fresh and tastes so subtly of coriander. The beef schezwan was good too. But i keep coming back to their chili chicken and manchurian versions. The craving for Umami is real and they satisfy our palates so effortlessly. 3 hours of drive back and forth-just for Chili chicken house--speaks volumes of how great their food can be. Love love love their dishes!

An outstanding first time experience which is tempting us to order several other options on the menu. But for now we were very happy with the schezuan chicken with gravy ( comes with side of rice) and the Hakka rice noodles. Just a note on skip the dishes they have almost $4.5 delivery charges.

My friends and I ordered a bunch of dishes to go: chili chicken, chili beef, paneer, vegetable fried rice, garlic chicken, and vegetarian Pad Thai. It took about 40 minutes to prepare it all, and they gave 2 boxes of white rice on the side as well. The food tasted very good and it wasn't too spicy either (not sure if my friends asked for less spicy or not, but they did provide spicy sauces on the side). The portion sizes are large, so we had a bunch of leftovers as well. There's a little patio outside right now for those who want to eat there, but I'd say to take it wherever you need.

Been one of my favorite places for many many years . The food is always fantastic, fresh and super tasty . The owner and staff are always pleasant and welcoming . It gets busy after 6 pm so arrive early . Definitely one of the best Hakka restaurants around the GTA hands down !

This hidden gem is located in a quiet plaza with plenty of options like Japanese cheesecake & bubble tea. When we get the itch for Hakka food we come here. There are many Hakka Chinese restaurants in the area but this is definitely number 1 for portions and taste. We ordered chicken pakora, large hot and sour soup , gobi manchurian, 3 chicken dishes - sweet & sour , general tao, chilli chicken and 2 noodles - manchurian and schezuan. No shrimp in anything. Great flavorful food, great service. The servers come by frequently to ask if you need anything ie water. The only major drawback is that they do not accept credit cards (debit/ cash only). It's 2022 plz start accepting credit cards.

I was recommended this place by a friend. It's located in a plaza near Erindale GO station. They have a lot of free parking in the plaza. The reviews for this place seemed promising so we decided to get a bunch of gravies and rice/noodles. We also got a large hot and sour soup. The soup was phenomenal! It had a good amount of chicken, tofu and vegetables- something that is hard to find at Hakka places. It was also very flavourful. The rest of the curry/gravies also were on the spicy end and had a unique taste. The food came with rice but we also ordered fried noodles and rice. Overall, this place is great for Hakka takeout. Call in advance as there may be a lineup.

I have been on a Hakka food kick for a while. Chilli Chicken House (CCH) has been bookmarked for ages. The good news is that both this eatery and my workplace are in Mississauga. The slight downer is that we are on opposite ends of the city. On Friday, four of my colleagues and I decided to make the fifteen-minute trip over for lunch. CCH is in an insanely busy plaza, thanks to a Tim Hortons drive-thru, a No Frills, and a ton of eateries. We found a spot by Timmy's and walked over. We got there just before noon. We managed to nab a table for six. We came in two separate cars. Our server was a bit concerned that half of us weren't there. We eventually all made it and he seemed relieved. At any Hakka eatery, I recommend going with a spicy dish. In the past, I would default to a non-spicy noodle dish and would end up disappointed. Go spicy or you don't get the full experience. My default two dishes are chilli chicken and spicy garlic chicken. CCH has hot garlic chicken. I went with the latter. I love garlic. If I could marry garlic, I would. We'd live in peaceful harmony. The lunch combo comes with your choice of spring rolls or canned pop. I got a Diet Coke. You can also upgrade your steamed rice to either fried rice or noodles for $2 or $2.50, respectively. I went with fried rice, as one of my interns had recommended it. My food came fast. I could smell the garlic as my food was placed in front of me. It was a great sign. I went in. The hot garlic chicken is excellent. The garlic is delicious. The chicken is tender and perfectly done. The sauce is flavourful. The fried rice is fluffy and tasty, with big peas and carrot cubes. I ate everything. I mixed the fried rice in the garlic sauce. My plate looked spectacularly clean that you could fool someone that it went through the dishwasher, but I don't recommend it. The only concern, which my other intern had brought up, is why are some sauces bright red red? We are hoping that it's chilli powder or cayenne, and not red food colouring. You can only pay using cash or a debit card. Paying was efficient, as the place has at least two payment machines happening at the front counter. The restaurant has perhaps ten tables. They do fill up fast, so either come before noon on weekdays, or later at around 1 pm. I'm so glad that I finally got to have lunch here. I can't wait to give the chilli chicken a try. (91)

Fast good food. Healthy portions and always added sauces. Chilli chicken with the fried rice is perfect. The beef and veggies are very good too, this one below is with plain rice and real fresh veggies . Lunch specials and 10% off with cash. Decent sized place with colourful decor.

Very sticky raw like batter inside the pakora. Not much fish.

The dining area, food stations and bathrooms were all very clean, which is so important at a buffet. They even have gloves at the end of each station in case you didn't want to touch the serving utensils with your bare hands. The variety of food goes from everything you can imagine at a Chinese buffet like sushi and fried rice to American options like burgers and fries, to surprises in-between like New England clam chowder and prime rib. Tons of dessert- hard ice cream, cakes, pies, fruit, jello, even Crème brûlée and waffles. One of my favorite surprises was the variety of mocktails. Most places offer me pop as a mocktail or a Shirley Temple at best. Decent pricing. Father's Day special dinner menu was $50/pp (Canadian) about $36/pp (American) which is pretty great for all you get and that's WITH their high tax. I believe the refular pricing is about $10/pp less. A must try only 30 minutes from Western NY.

They were quite busy with takeout orders which I took as a good sign. We ordered the Beef Sirloin Noodles level spicy and numb(4/5), Breaded Shrimp (5/5) Seafood Fried Rice (4/5) and Lamb Skewers (4/5). Beef Sirloin Noodles were delicious. The broth itself was not overly salty compared to other places we've been to. I enjoyed the addition of peanuts to this dish for that extra crunchy texture and nutty taste. The noodles were cooked perfectly. They were bouncy and chewy. The beef itself was good. Some were a tad bit chewy. I wish there was more bok choy. We'd also opt for extra spicy and extra numb next time. Breaded Shrimp was enjoyable. You can't go wrong with this dish. It was crispy, and the batter to shrimp ratio was decent. Seafood Fried Rice was good as well. Again, we liked how it wasn't overly salty. We were able to sense the taste of the seafood. I wish they added more scallops since we only got two pieces in the whole dish. Lamb Skewers were satisfying flavour-wise. We really liked the seasoning on them. It was on the chewier side but it was manageable. We'd like to try their other skewer options next time. Overall, such a good spot for affordable and delicious food. I'm glad my family recommended this place. I'd like to point out that a customer was being problematically entitled and rude yet the female server stayed professional. See their website: https://www.congeequeen.com/menu.php and select your location. It has been a while since we have eaten at the Congee Queen outside of the Toronto (Dundas/Yonge) location, so we were a bit surprised at the price difference (8-10% difference). This location (Heartland Town Center) feels like it has the right price for the menu. With cash, you also get a 10% discount. We were here on a Wednesday for an early dinner around 15:30 - 17:00 and it was about medium full for the main area. People were coming and going at a good pace. For our group of four, we ordered: - B3 Salmon Congee $11 ($12 downtown) - H11 Chicken Salted Fish Fried Rice $18.25 ($19.75 downtown) - K34 Fried Bean Curd with Veggie $19.50 ($21.50 downtown) - K42 Salt and Pepper Squid $16.50 ($18.25 downtown) - K53 Fried Chili Turnip Cakes $13.75 ($15.00 downtown) Service was a bit slow, but not the longest as there were only 2-3 staff taking orders that day for about 15-20 tables. If you signaled for assistance, they will come. Once ordered thought, the food came out in about 5 mins and all the dishes were ready soon after. Tea is refilled on request, just ask. As usual, the fried rice and congee is what they are known for, it was excellent as usual. Depending on the group you go with, YMMV, but for our order combination, this usually works comes out at the same time and everything is hot and tasty. The turnip cakes are the softer type and they even accommodated checking for shrimp. They are usually good about seafood checks. All in all, great experience. With the discount and tips all in, it was less than $100 total at $25 per person. It has been a while since we've eaten out with a group at that price point. So for a family occasion, we headed again to the Heartland location with its distinct high ceiling resembling cool porcelain. This place was packed as usual with a waitlist register at the front. We didn't wait long to be seated but the service and dishes were generally disappointing. After dropping off a pot of tea, no one bothered to check in on us again. While we usually have the super bowl congee, the exorbitant prices nowadays for porridge that we can make at home with a blender is difficult to justify. Instead we had Empress Fried Rice ($22) that was served like slop but was still nicely balanced between sweet unagi glaze topped with bonito flakes. We cleaned the sides to make it more presentable for our meal. The dishes that followed next were hit & miss on the seasoning. Sweet Corn Garoupa Fillet ($24.25) was served with the battered fish along side a cup of thick corn soup but lacked flavour whether we dipped in the soup or not. Similarly the Mixed Fungus & Fried Gluten in Hot Pot ($24.25) was also light on flavour despite being one of our usual go-to dishes here with good variety of mushrooms. While Stir Fried Sirloin with Rice Roll in Satay Sauce ($18.75) was quite savoury with a good amount of sirloin chunks but too salty. Skip it or hit it? For a $100 meal, we'll be thinking twice about whether to visit this location again.

Usually also get a bowl of seaweed soup with your order (per person) though this time around we didn't get any. We ordered a lot for dinner. For appetizers, we ordered the braised pork pan-fried buns, which were amazing. The bun was really fluffy, and the filling was flavourful and just the right amount of juicy. We also had chive pork dumplings. These were also good, though I admit I prefer the pan-fried ones. In particular, our dumplings came out kind of gummy. We had some scallion pancakes which were nice and crispy, and very flavourful. Then, some dried beancurd sticks that were just the right amount of spiciness. Do keep in mind the beancurd sticks are cold (it surprised me the first time I had it). Finally, we had some honey garlic chicken wings. They fry their chicken wings really well, and they don't overdo the sauce which is great. We did have trouble fitting all of this on the table since we ordered so much. We managed, but just keep this in mind if you like to order a lot of appetizers. We each ordered a main. My boyfriend had the lemongrass chicken with egg on rice, which he enjoyed. I also enjoyed my Taiwanese braised pork. My pork dish was amazing and they cooked the egg really well. I was missing my time in Taiwan so I ordered the Taiwanese Braised Pork and Egg on rice. We also ordered Pumpkin Pie with Red Bean Filling, stir-fried rice noodles with bean sprouts, Juicy Chinese Pork Burger, and their Juicy Cheese Beef Burger. Everything was quite good especially the Chinese Pork Burger. The outer shell was so crispy and the pork meat was so juicy and was seasoned just right. The Taiwanese Braised Pork rice was good but definitely not as good as in Taiwan lol. Also, if coming here, you have to try their signature pan fried buns. That is what they are known for. I was hoping to find something special on the menu. By the time you add the extras, the bill is easily another $50 or more, bringing the total to well over $120. We decided to pass, and judging from the dishes we did order, that was probably the right decision. The hot and sour soup had plenty of heat and tang but lacked depth of flavor and was under-seasoned for my taste. Fortunately, we only ordered a small bowl. The deep-fried tofu was bland and forgettable. The stir-fried shrimp was acceptable but nothing special. The biggest disappointment was the sweet and sour pork. I specifically asked the server to make sure the pork was crispy, but it arrived soft and lumpy rather than light and crunchy. Even the complimentary red bean dessert soup was watery and lacked flavor. Our bill came to about $104 for two people. For the quality of the food, I didn't feel it offered good value. Sadly, after several disappointing visits, I don't think we'll be returning.

I've lived in Toronto, Durham, Peel and I can definitely say its been the hardest to find goood late night greasy Chinese food here in the Port Credit end of Mississauga. I'm still on the hunt! Customer service here was great. I called asked a few questions, than went in and grabbed a menu and went back to my car. Called over the phone and ordered she didn't know it was me and asked if i knew where they were located which was nice. So My order was General tao chicken ( we usually get chilli chicken but don't like it dry, prefer the sauced up spicy, so this is the equivalent at some places), chicken balls, chicken fried rice, and chicken wings. The total was about 40$, which is fair and the portions were alot less to what I was used to. The general tao chicken was not even a little bit spicy, even though she said it was so that was disappointing. On top of that the breaded part of the chicken was extremely soggy and the plate was full of soggy over cooked veggies underneath. the chicken wings were fried and greasy tasted great and well seasoned. Just not like what I'd usually get from a Chinese take out place as it just looked different the way it was breaded and fried. The rice was in a really small container w under cooked pieced of chicken that was very slimy and white and the rice was very bland. I had to overkill w soy sauce and bit of red sauce. Lastly the chicken balls of course 80% balls 20% chicken but tasted fine, just nothing special. I mean it was cheap and last minute but i definitely feel like i would not have ordered here if i had known cheap or not. They have alot to improve on or mayb they are better at making other items listed in reviews from others. Not sure how they have 5 stars. but hey to each their own right!

They have an assortment of meat dishes, from chicken to beef to seafood. They even serve duck and lobster, although I have yet to try. The interior is quite welcoming and feels like a very old-school Chinese restaurant. The service is incredibly quick and they make sure to take your orders quickly, so if possible, try to look at the menu ahead of time or have an idea of what you want. We placed our orders and they gave us a nice hearty soup for free. It was a nice surprise. This time around, we ordered sauteed scallops, beef with Maggi sauce, and the Yeung Chow fried rice. Everything was excellent. The rice had amazing flavour, and I like any sort of fried rice that combines meat and seafood so that was a plus. The scallops were also cooked really well. The beef with Maggi sauce was the star for me. Salty and savoury and the mushrooms and onions go so well with it. I would recommend it if you like an intense salty flavour. They also gave us a red bean porridge for desert. It was just fine for me but it was complementary so I can't complain. Overall, an amazing place to have Chinese food and super affordable as well. The portions are quite generous so you'll definitely get your money's worth.
