This place was recommended to me by my family. Walking in, it was clean and spacious with lots of seating. The server greeted us and showed us where to sit. They were quite busy with takeout orders which I took as a good sign. We ordered the Beef Sirloin Noodles level spicy and numb(4/5), Breaded Shrimp (5/5) Seafood Fried Rice (4/5) and Lamb Skewers (4/5). Beef Sirloin Noodles were delicious. The broth itself was not overly salty compared to other places we've been to. I enjoyed the addition of peanuts to this dish for that extra crunchy texture and nutty taste. The noodles were cooked perfectly. They were bouncy and chewy. The beef itself was good. Some were a tad bit chewy. I wish there was more bok choy. We'd also opt for extra spicy and extra numb next time. Breaded Shrimp was enjoyable. You can't go wrong with this dish. It was crispy, and the batter to shrimp ratio was decent. Seafood Fried Rice was good as well. Again, we liked how it wasn't overly salty. We were able to sense the taste of the seafood. I wish they added more scallops since we only got two pieces in the whole dish. Lamb Skewers were satisfying flavour-wise. We really liked the seasoning on them. It was on the chewier side but it was manageable. We'd like to try their other skewer options next time. Overall, such a good spot for affordable and delicious food. This restaurant is located in a plaza with lots of parking. Stopped by late Thursday evening and it was mostly empty. When we went in, there was no worker so had to wait a few minutes to be seated. Love this place! From where I live which is Clarkson, there isn't a lot of good Asian food. This one is one of the good ones! They serve egg noodles soup and you can choose the spicy and numbness level. All the noodles soup is good but my favourite here in the lamb skewers!! I always always get them even if I don't end up ordering noodle soup. I get either the chicken, pork belly, or brisket depending on my mood. Every soup comes with bokchoy and an egg. What a pleasant surprise! I never expected to find one of best noodle shops in a random Mississauga strip mall, so thank you to all the fellow Yelpers who steered me in the right direction. It's definitely a bit off the beaten path for me, since I stay in downtown Toronto when I'm visiting. But since I live in Rochester, I'm always looking for a "snack" on my drive back. The service is friendly and the food comes out quickly. The portions are more than generous and the pricing is fair. So far I've ordered their Sirloin Beef Noodle Soup twice. It's good enough that I'm not really inclined to try anything else. The soup is flavorful without being overly salty. The beef is soft and tender (and quite plentiful). Medium spicy is just the right heat level for me. The noodles also seemingly have the perfect amount of bite and texture. If you have a sweeter palate, then the beef and tomato noodles are a good option. I'm also a fan of their lamb skewers and also their potato with chili sauce appetizer. Overall, definitely one of the better noodle spots for me in the GTA. So it's worth checking out if you're in the area (and maybe even if you're not). read more

Flavorful. The soup comes in mild medium and spicy. It does get a little oily if it's medium or spicy since they use spicy oil. They also add peanuts in the noodle soup. There are so many different regions that make noodle soups. I'm glad I tried it. It's different but I actually like it. They give you a lot of noodles. My sister and I came here with my aunt and uncle - it's their new favourite spot! They adore the plain soup noodle, so we ordered that along with some other plates to share (we got the plain noodles, the intestine noodles, the fuqi feipian AKA the beef shank with tripe, marinated black fungus, and the beef and lamb skewers which came in an order of two picks). We had the marinated black fungus first, and it was absolutely delicious! It had a lovely and refreshing taste; the vinegar definitely helped bring out the flavour. A great starter to an otherwise heavy cuisine and meal. The skewers came out next - they had a nice kick from the cumin spices. My aunt preferred the lamb, as for some reason the beef had a far stronger and gamier taste. The beef shank and tripe was not as spicy nor overwhelming in flavour as the others that I've had - rather, it was a little sweeter than usual. The plain noodles were good, but I didn't find that the flavour was anything spectacular (we got the mild spicy). The noodles with intestines, however, were too rich and greasy. The intestines had a good ratio of fat, making the noodles and broth very heavy. Overall, it was a nice and very cheap meal! Portion sizes were generous, and the flavour was good. That said, I do think I can find better and comparable food at other places - though I suppose this is Mississauga's first taste of authentic Chonqing cuisine! read more

Went last night and had their Tomato Beef Noodles and got to try my wife's Pork and Pickled Cabbage Noodles. The noodles themselves are amazing. Great texture and flavor - probably freshly made. The broths are good, very rich though. The meat in my Tomato Beef was nice and tender and I enjoyed the other ingredients such as the half boiled egg, and other veggies. Finding myself a long way from home (over 65km), I referred to my trusty Yelp app for somewhere to have dinner. I don't recall passing many restaurants when I got off the highway to get where I was and Yelp didn't reveal too many options in the immediate vicinity either but noodles sounded good. Meet Noodles is in a small strip plaza just off the QEW. It's clean and spacious with a modern conservative decor. There are booths, banquette seats and taller seating available. All the built-in seats, however, have sharp edges and no padded seats. They were kinda hard. Maybe they don't want you staying too long? I ordered grilled lamb skewers to start and a noodle soup with ground pork. The lamb was nicely seasoned and tasted good. Personally, I would have preferred a little more sear at a higher temperature, with a little pink inside. This was cooked evenly, well done. That's not a criticism, just my preference. The soup was attractively presented, with the meat and some beans placed in the middle, along with a sliced hard boiled egg. Spaghetti noodles? I wasn't expecting that at a Chinese restaurant. It was cooked perfectly al dente (if I was eating pasta at an Italian restaurant) but I'm used to softer noodles in my soup. Again, just my preference. The soup did taste good. Everything was properly seasoned, with just a little bit of heat. Very nice. I might have liked the dish even more if it was Chinese egg noodles. Maybe. The service was very good, with staff checking on me and refilling my water frequently. The one thing I can't ignore is the temperature in this place. It was HOT! I was sweating buckets and going through napkins like crazy. Decided to try this place after seeing all the positive reviews...wasn't disappointed. Ordered the chong qing noodles (medium and spicy) and chicken skewers. The service was quick and the food was packed in convenient takeout bowls. The skewers were nicely grilled, while the noodles were tasty. The portion was nice, especially considering the price. Make sure you mix the noodles well as I found most of the sauce and seasoning at the bottom of the bowl. I particularly liked the generous portion of peanuts on top. Nice touch! After a long car cruise to and from Valens Conservation, my husband and I decided to try Meet Noodles located on Erin Mills Parkway by the QEW in Mississauga. This noodle joint offers a variety of Chóngqìng noodles. This is a term for a variety of spicy noodle dishes which ranges from spice and numbing level. For me, I'm personally not a fan of the numbness however I can certainly tolerate a high level of spiciness. The soup base that's offered all have the same taste. All you do is choose the meat, spice and numbing level. For starters my husband and I shared the Steamed Chicken with the numbing spice. Again I'm not a fan of the numbing spice so my husband did all the eating for this dish. He did say it was delicious. We also ordered the Lamb and Squid Skewers. The Lamb was not gamey at all and the spice was just the perfect amount and not overpowering. The squid was nicely cooked which just had the perfect bounce when you took a bit and the flavor from the spice added the perfect touch. As for our noodles, we shared the Pork Belly and Beef Sirloin noodle soup. We requested for our spice level to be hot and numbness at zero. It was not as spicy as we had hoped however we can also tolerate very spicy food. When our noodles dishes arrived the soup was still steaming which was nice to see. The pork belly was super tender and the beef had a slight chew however both meats were absolutely delicious and bursting with flavour. This place was on my radar as it showed up on one of the feeds from Yelp so yesterday I finally got around to visiting this restaurant. They are conveniently located right off of QEW and Erin Mills Parkway in a newly built plaza beside the Sheridan Mall. The restaurant itself is very modern looking with high open ceilings very industrial look. There are about 40 seats available inside with 2 large booths, a bunch of tables for 2 people, on the opposite side of the table for 2's there are a bunch of tables that can be shuffled around to accommodate for larger or smaller parties. Smack in the middle is a long table that is tall like bar style seating that will seat about 8 people. The place a very spacious and won't feel cramped. They serve Northern China style noodles, grilled skewers, and some appetizers, I find that most of these dishes are based on Schiuan peppercorns. I ordered the grilled lamb skewer, grilled whole squid, and steamed chicken with chilli sauce to start. The grilled lamb skewers are very common and flavour is about the same everywhere I go however the lamb was actually not gamy. The grilled squid was pretty good I enjoyed the smokey flavour and the sweet sauce they brushed on to finish it off. The steamed chicken with chilli sauce is topped with peanuts and spicy sauce, the sauce is not over the top spicy and carries a slight numbness to it. Typical Northern style cooking with Schiuan peppercorn. For the noodles my wife and I ordered the Marinated Pork Belly and Beef Sirloin, the soup base for both noodles were the same. You can choose the spice level from Hot, Medium, Mild or none and the numbness level is the same from Strong, medium, mild or even none. My wife and I can take some spice so we ordered both the noodles with hot spice option but no numbness as my wife is not a fan of it. The pork was very tender and soft with lots of flavour in the meat as this is marinated. The beef sirloin was also tender and soft with plenty of flavour in the meat as well. The soup is very rich in flavour and I didn't find that the hot was that spicy, I would rate their hot a 6 out of 10 for me. The noodles also come with half a boiled egg. I also saw that they have a few other style of noodle dishes that seem to be a different soup base so I look forward to trying those out next time around. read more

FINALLY! I found a great ramen place! I really enjoyed my ramen from here, the portion was great which makes it even more worth it at its current price point of $13. I called ahead to place my order over the phone, service was quick and friendly. The ramen itself was very tasty, the broth was great and not salty like other ramen places. The server was very nice and was very clear with how spicy the noodles would be at each level, and even offered to add zero spice so we could add our own. So glad I got a chance to try this the other night because the noodles here are awesome! This restaurant specializes in noodle soups but they also have other things on the menu if you're not craving noodles such as grilled skewers, wontons, bubble teas, and Chinese dessert soups. We got a pork belly noodle and wontons that were both in a spicy soup. Both were amazingly delicious in terms of the noodles and the flavour of the soups. My god, my bowl of wontons was huge given the price. We also got 2 lamb skewers which tasted great but could have been better with a bit more cumin seasoning. Going in around 5 on a Thursday it was really quiet. There were probably 2 other tables besides me. I was served quickly. The servers do speak both Mandarin and English so there is no language barrier. I ordered the beef sirloin noodles with medium spicy. The noodles were al-dente and had a great chewy texture. There was a huge portion of beef brisket and I love how they have bok choy as some places only give you noodles and protein. Their side dishes looked delicious but I was by myself and knew I wouldn't be able to finish. Overall I wasn't used to how oily the soup was and couldn't finish much of my bowl.
