Came here for family lunch on Sunday. We made reservations ahead of time of course. I recommend if you are planning to come here you should do it as it is ALWAYS busy here. Jenny made everything so smooth from ordering, to our requests and up until we finished up paid the bill. She was patient and kind which is what you need when being this busy. As for the food, well it's normal Congee Queen consistency. Normally good, maybe sometimes a little salty but nothing outstanding. Overall good for the price.

The food is really quite good and the value for what we paid is also amazing. My favorite dishes were the eel fried rice, the Cantonese style fried noodles, the sweet and sour pork, and the fried turnip cake. The fried squid and congee were also great. I ate with a large group of people and we still had left overs to take home! Service was quick and efficient as well. There is a discount if you pay with cash.

A solid go to in Mississauga. It's a little more pricey compared to the other Chinese restaurants but they are always consistent. Our favourite is the fish noodle soup. It's 16.99 and comes with two toppings and a drink. It's perfect for the cold weather these days. The restaurant is big and nicely decorated. It does get really loud and echoed sometimes but nothing that prevents us from enjoying our meals. The service is quick and prompt. Don't expect a fine dining service though!

The pumpkin and veggie shark fin was thick and warming. It had good pumpkin taste and the veggie shark fin was really just vermicelli. The turnip cakes were the highlight. They were slightly crispy outside and soft in the inside. Additionally, all the little mixins it was cooked with (egg, shrimp, dried turnip, cha shao, etc) were yummy The beef and bitter melon was just ok. It was super bitter and there were large chunks of beef that weren't scrambled out.

Menu appeared vast with variations, descriptive, and fancy names. Vast parking lot. Highly recommend scheduling advanced res. Grateful to our cousin. Outstanding customer service from the hostess who allowed us to check in earlier since everyone in our party was present. Absolutely loved the private room with round table conversations! Our server was very attentive, refilled our beverages and napkins, and visited periodically to see how everything is going. Diced Chicken w/ Salted Fish Fried Rice: Salt seemed addictive in this particular fried rice. Chicken and fish integrated well together. Kept returning for more. Yeung Chow Fried Rice w/ Shrimp & B.B.Q. Pork: This fried rice was also tasty with the culmination of ingredients. Wouldn't recommend for those with shrimp allergies. Roast Pork: Oh my gosh! Crispy skin has a tasty crunch which is super yummy, yet unhealthy. Reminded of pig skin from lechon. Lol! Salt and Pepper Shrimp: Flavorful with all the seasonings. Skin is tasty and crunchy. BBQ Duck w/ Shrimp Chips: Tender and succulent. Shrimp chips add a tasty crunch. Fried Sweet and Sour Pork: Able to taste sweet and sour sauce at the same time. Pork was moist. Skin could be a little crispier. Stir Fried Beef w/ Chili Black Bean Sauce: Tasty, succulent and thinly sliced beef that goes well with flavorful, mild black bean sauce. Cantonese Chow Mein: Fresh seafood, tender chicken and sliced beef and sauce complemented the crispy noodles. If I lived in CA, I would love to dine in and taste various entrees more often.

Congee Queen is the go to place for everything Chinese Food. They have a huge menu that pretty much covers all Chinese Food from A to Z. For breakfast, you can opt for the traditional comfort food of Congee, fried Chinese donut, soy sauce noodles, rice noodles, etc. For dinner, you can op for their dinner family style plate, or the quick fix Beef Chow Fun. All the dishes we tried were spot on. Lot of staff, but service can be slow, especially for tea refill. Evenings are packed especially during dinner time, but you can get a table easily after 8PM.

B16.. Pork Liver & Kidney Congee / 爽脆腰潤粥

We ordered a pork liver and kidney congee. It came with the liver pieces all clustered together. After I stirred to smooth, you can see large amount of blood in the bowl. It looks disgusting. We also had pork and fish, which didn't taste good either. Not fresh at all. So disappointed and will never come back.

Congee Queen never disappoints. The chow mein noodles were crisp and light, paired with a rich sauce that pulled everything together. The squid came in generous, crunchy pieces, the sweet and sour pork hit that perfect sticky-crispy balance, and the turnip cakes had a soft chew that was spot on. Whether it's a big family dinner, a girls' night in, or a quick lunch, there's something for every occasion.

Every time I'm in town, I make it a point to visit Congee Queen--it never disappoints. This is hands down the best Chinese food in Toronto. Our table of six ordered enough for twelve because the menu is so diverse, and everything looked too good to pass up. The large round tables with Lazy Susans make sharing dishes seamless, and the service was top-notch. Our server, Jenny, went above and beyond--attentive, friendly, and even packed and labeled our leftovers to go. She also offered to take a family photo for us, which was a thoughtful touch. The food came out hot, fresh, and perfectly cooked. Not a single complaint. Even the bathrooms were clean, which isn't always the case in busy spots like this. Highly recommend. Great job to the team--keep it up!

Congee Queen was surprisingly really good. This location is next to Seafood City at the Heartland Town Centre. The interior is very spacious and can seat a lot of tables. Parking is easy. They have a very big parking lot. Bathroom is in the back. The menu is quite extensive. It's really hard to decide what to get. When in doubt, go with the congee. It's what they're called anyway, right? There was a wait even at 9 PM on a weekday. I only had a party of two, but they told me 10-15 minutes. During this time, I tried reading the menu items. It was so hard; they have too many choices! They even have cool drinks. There is a small waiting area with a bench by the entrance. I ended up getting a bunch of food so of course I had leftovers. The congee was amazing. However, it tasted a tad sour the next day. It may have been from adding vinegar?? (also posted on Google)

Congee Queen is my go to spot for a big family dinner. We're always satisfied when we eat here. The service was okay, they're often very busy Love getting the turnip cake from here. So fluffy and potato-like, savoury with a little kick to it. The cheung fun was good but had to ask for more of the sweet soy dipping sauce, didn't feel like it was enough so I needed more flavour. Beef ho fun is my go to noodle dish at any Chinese restaurant! The noodles were so soft Roasted duck and char siu platter is my absolute favourite meat dish! Very flavourful but the duck this time was very fatty, not enough meat.

Great seafood and I hate seafood and even I can appreciate it!!! Service was way better than what you would expect from an Asian restaurant so props to them! Ambiance is very clean and modern, the opposite of a lot of great asian restaurants LOL if I could rate it a 10 on Yelp, I would!!!

Congee Queen has been a staple for cheap Chinese food! The good: cheap and fast. Great value if you come between 3-5 pm on weekdays. You can get bubble milk tea or red bean + ice cream Room for improvement: The food tastes hit or miss sometimes. The duck and chicken was delicious and soft. But the portions and bones made the dish come a little bit short. My wife had the shrimp dumpling soup. The soup had little taste. Good thing it was cheap though. Overall, I'd still come back and explore other dishes. It's cheap enough to come frequently without breaking the bank.

The dining area, food stations and bathrooms were all very clean, which is so important at a buffet. They even have gloves at the end of each station in case you didn't want to touch the serving utensils with your bare hands. The variety of food goes from everything you can imagine at a Chinese buffet like sushi and fried rice to American options like burgers and fries, to surprises in-between like New England clam chowder and prime rib. Tons of dessert- hard ice cream, cakes, pies, fruit, jello, even Crème brûlée and waffles. One of my favorite surprises was the variety of mocktails. Most places offer me pop as a mocktail or a Shirley Temple at best. Decent pricing. Father's Day special dinner menu was $50/pp (Canadian) about $36/pp (American) which is pretty great for all you get and that's WITH their high tax. I believe the refular pricing is about $10/pp less. A must try only 30 minutes from Western NY.

They were quite busy with takeout orders which I took as a good sign. We ordered the Beef Sirloin Noodles level spicy and numb(4/5), Breaded Shrimp (5/5) Seafood Fried Rice (4/5) and Lamb Skewers (4/5). Beef Sirloin Noodles were delicious. The broth itself was not overly salty compared to other places we've been to. I enjoyed the addition of peanuts to this dish for that extra crunchy texture and nutty taste. The noodles were cooked perfectly. They were bouncy and chewy. The beef itself was good. Some were a tad bit chewy. I wish there was more bok choy. We'd also opt for extra spicy and extra numb next time. Breaded Shrimp was enjoyable. You can't go wrong with this dish. It was crispy, and the batter to shrimp ratio was decent. Seafood Fried Rice was good as well. Again, we liked how it wasn't overly salty. We were able to sense the taste of the seafood. I wish they added more scallops since we only got two pieces in the whole dish. Lamb Skewers were satisfying flavour-wise. We really liked the seasoning on them. It was on the chewier side but it was manageable. We'd like to try their other skewer options next time. Overall, such a good spot for affordable and delicious food. I'm glad my family recommended this place. I'd like to point out that a customer was being problematically entitled and rude yet the female server stayed professional. I thought she handled the situation quite calmly which I wanna commend her for. P.S. The restaurant has a sign on their door saying not to bring pets inside. This location is on the small side and the seating is quite limited. That said, whenever we come here Sunday afternoons, we never have trouble getting tables during walk-ins. The staff is always attentive and we never have to wait for much long for the food to come. They always ask you if you want water or tea. Usually also get a bowl of seaweed soup with your order (per person) though this time around we didn't get any. We ordered a lot for dinner. For appetizers, we ordered the braised pork pan-fried buns, which were amazing. The bun was really fluffy, and the filling was flavourful and just the right amount of juicy. We also had chive pork dumplings. These were also good, though I admit I prefer the pan-fried ones. In particular, our dumplings came out kind of gummy. We had some scallion pancakes which were nice and crispy, and very flavourful. Then, some dried beancurd sticks that were just the right amount of spiciness. Do keep in mind the beancurd sticks are cold (it surprised me the first time I had it). Finally, we had some honey garlic chicken wings. They fry their chicken wings really well, and they don't overdo the sauce which is great. We did have trouble fitting all of this on the table since we ordered so much. We managed, but just keep this in mind if you like to order a lot of appetizers. We each ordered a main. My boyfriend had the lemongrass chicken with egg on rice, which he enjoyed. I also enjoyed my Taiwanese braised pork. My pork dish was amazing and they cooked the egg really well. I was missing my time in Taiwan so I ordered the Taiwanese Braised Pork and Egg on rice. We also ordered Pumpkin Pie with Red Bean Filling, stir-fried rice noodles with bean sprouts, Juicy Chinese Pork Burger, and their Juicy Cheese Beef Burger. Everything was quite good especially the Chinese Pork Burger. The outer shell was so crispy and the pork meat was so juicy and was seasoned just right. The Taiwanese Braised Pork rice was good but definitely not as good as in Taiwan lol. Also, if coming here, you have to try their signature pan fried buns. That is what they are known for. We didn't order it this time because we've had it a bunch of times already. Overall, this restaurant always hits. It's not the most amazing food but like the name suggest, It is very home style comfort food.

I wanted to try Peking Duck and got clued into J&Y as one of the best options to try which did not disappoint. The Peking Duck was so tender, so flavorful and so wonderfully succulent. Scallions, cucumber, hoisin sauce completed each wrap which highlighted the duck. Definitely the best traditional Peking Duck preparation I've had in a very very long time. The remains of the duck were used for make a duck fried rice and duck soup, again both were amazing. It takes a certain skill to make fried rice cleanly without an excessive oily coating on each grain of rice. This was one of the best fried rices I've ever had! I was hoping to find something special on the menu. The Peking duck caught my eye at around $70, but then I discovered that almost everything else was extra--lettuce wraps, stir-fried duck meat, fried rice, and soup. By the time you add the extras, the bill is easily another $50 or more, bringing the total to well over $120. We decided to pass, and judging from the dishes we did order, that was probably the right decision. The hot and sour soup had plenty of heat and tang but lacked depth of flavor and was under-seasoned for my taste. Fortunately, we only ordered a small bowl. The deep-fried tofu was bland and forgettable. The stir-fried shrimp was acceptable but nothing special. The biggest disappointment was the sweet and sour pork. I specifically asked the server to make sure the pork was crispy, but it arrived soft and lumpy rather than light and crunchy. Even the complimentary red bean dessert soup was watery and lacked flavor. Our bill came to about $104 for two people. For the quality of the food, I didn't feel it offered good value. Sadly, after several disappointing visits, I don't think we'll be returning.

I've lived in Toronto, Durham, Peel and I can definitely say its been the hardest to find goood late night greasy Chinese food here in the Port Credit end of Mississauga. I'm still on the hunt! Customer service here was great. I called asked a few questions, than went in and grabbed a menu and went back to my car. Called over the phone and ordered she didn't know it was me and asked if i knew where they were located which was nice. So My order was General tao chicken ( we usually get chilli chicken but don't like it dry, prefer the sauced up spicy, so this is the equivalent at some places), chicken balls, chicken fried rice, and chicken wings. The total was about 40$, which is fair and the portions were alot less to what I was used to. The general tao chicken was not even a little bit spicy, even though she said it was so that was disappointing. On top of that the breaded part of the chicken was extremely soggy and the plate was full of soggy over cooked veggies underneath. the chicken wings were fried and greasy tasted great and well seasoned. Just not like what I'd usually get from a Chinese take out place as it just looked different the way it was breaded and fried. The rice was in a really small container w under cooked pieced of chicken that was very slimy and white and the rice was very bland. I had to overkill w soy sauce and bit of red sauce. Lastly the chicken balls of course 80% balls 20% chicken but tasted fine, just nothing special. I mean it was cheap and last minute but i definitely feel like i would not have ordered here if i had known cheap or not. They have alot to improve on or mayb they are better at making other items listed in reviews from others. Not sure how they have 5 stars. but hey to each their own right!

The beef with Maggi sauce was the star for me. Salty and savoury and the mushrooms and onions go so well with it. I would recommend it if you like an intense salty flavour.
