Loved everything about this place! Went to a Wedding that held their reception here and I loved the ambiance, food, drinks and the service! The bartenders were literally the best! Great drinks, conversations and super helpful. Julie Thompson made the best drinks. I'm someone who doesn't enjoy the taste of alcohol so she made me a cosmopolitan and it tasted so delicious, exactly like a strawberry lemonade! She was so helpful with recoding videos for the family and I, overall a pleasure to be around. Hope to go back and enjoy more time there!

FAKE REVIEWs 5/14/23 Recent review-This place is a complete dump PEOPLE NEED TO KNOW Stopped in for Mother's Day. There wasn't a single thing that was positive with this place. In fact it was a horror show looked like a dump from the outside on the inside it was like someone's house. The service was fast but the waitress was rude and unfriendly, she seemed like she was teint to rush us out. The food was utterly disgusting, I got the chicken and mashed potatoes. Chicken was completely undercooked and tasted like freezer. The mashed potatoes were weren't even mashed, and were also undercooked. The salad that came with it has dirt in it and The prices were absolutely insane nothing below 32$ for an entree with meat. 300$ for three people with no drinks.

Delicious 5* dinner, service and ambiance! The perfect place for dinner. A must for visitors and locals alike. Chillingsworth has a charming and delightful garden location or eat inside the antique home. We sat in the garden room surrounded by geraniums. The food is sublime, we had gazpacho, foie gras, truffle risotto and grilled duck. Everything was cooked to perfection. We finished with Angel cake and sticky toffee pudding. Delicious! Our waitress was so kind and gave great recommendations. Even with a full dining room the food arrived timely and at a perfect temperature. She even joked with us and made us feel as though we were her only special guests. Don't miss out on this slice of paradise in Brewster. If you only go to one restaurant this summer, it has to be Chillingsworth. We have already booked our next dinner and cannot wait to return.

Absolutely out of this world fine dining + service. Every year we come to the cape we try and get a reservation here and thankfully with all the added outdoor seating it's been an absolute dream! KerriLee is the best server I've ever had. So attentive and made the best suggestions! The food is delicious!! The best flavors ever. And the best presentation!! It was so yum! Highly recommend!

Delicious food in a great setting! Well worth the money. They handle COVID precautions really well and spread guests out appropriately in their scenic garden.

First time diners and we were thoroughly impressed not only with the delicious food, eclectic ambiance but the AMAZING staff! KerriLee was our server, she was not only friendly and accommodating but extremely knowledgeable. She told us about the history of the restaurant and made wonderful food recommendations based on our preferences. We had the privilege of meeting the owner! We look forward to our next visit hopefully soon.

Great find! Too bad we waited so long to visit the Bistro! So cute, inside and out. Great staff! Fabulous menu (so many apps I wanted 10!) and wine selection. We had the tuna tartarand roasted beets app to start (yum! ESP the beets!) my husband, who rarely eats duck "had" to try it as this is a French place, and cleaned his plate! I had a delicious swordfish dish and we shared a sticky pudding for Dessert even though stuffed! One thing to note: I'm a pescatarian (who only eats 3 kinds of fish) so I usually avoid French places because there usually isn't much for me. This place had TOO MUCH too choose from. Really great and not overtly expensive. Our server was so nice and we had a great chat with her. Did I mention the delish filthy martinis and great wine!? Recommend this spot.

The interior is pretty basic, small tables and small chairs, so a person of substance such as myself didn't find the seating comfortable. I tried: - French onion soup: this should have been an easy win. I found the Gruyere cheese to be overly thick, and the broth to be heavy handed on the wine. - Steak tartare: this was a good dish. The beef was thin cut, smooth, and the egg was cooked just right so the yolk added richness that then got offset by the capers. Due to the richness, you may actually find that this could be all you need for a meal, despite it looking small. - Croque Madame: le sigh, what a failure this sandwich was. Over easy egg? Not today, over medium, so not much runny yolk but a thicker one. This is a gigantic salt bomb, in addition. They serve your water in tiny glasses and every bite led to downing an entire glass of water. It's good they were on top of refilling the glasses, but even then I finished a quarter of this before I couldn't take it any more. I did saunter over to the counter where they have a lot of good looking pastries, so we'll see if the ones I bought end up redeeming this place. As it stands, I can't recommend this establishment unless you'd like to try the tartare.

I have had this herb crusted haddock with crispy potatoes, heirloom tomatoes and caper berries before and very much enjoyed it. We went in on a Saturday at 12:30 for my hubby's birthday and the charming bistro restaurant was filling up. I ordered my haddock and was so sorely disappointed. The haddock was hot but lacked any perceivable flavor of any herb at all. The parsley oil was certainly green but the parsley flavor was imperceptible. The haricots were too al dente as if not cooked at all and cold. The rest of the meal was not cold but not warm/hot either. Plus, my favorite part of the dish, the caper berries were missing. I say the berries were missing although there was one slice of a caper berry at the very end of my piece of haddock (see photo), so technically it had caper berry on it. Man, was that disappointing. Had we not been there for a special occasion, and since my husband was thoroughly enjoying his meal and the server was "deep in the woods" I did not send it back. My error I know, but there it is. Will I go back? Yes. My review here was strictly for the dish itself. Will I order this again, probably not but there are many other things that they serve there that are quite delicious. A swing and a miss this time but usually a winner.

We enjoyed a 2021 Domaine Drouhin Pinot Noir with our dinner. My husband and I shared two appetizers, the beef tartare and the lobster raviolo. Outstanding! The beef tartare was so fresh and flavorful. Unfortunately, there were only two pieces for $19. The lobster raviolo was filled with mascarpone and lobster topped with trout row. Decadent. One ravioli priced at $21. I had the Dover soul with almond sauce ($64) and hubby had the roasted duck ($34) for entrees. Both perfect in every way. One minor suggestion is that the Dover didn't need the frisée. It just got in the way. Our friends who recommended Chanterelle suggested that we order the Grand Marnier soufflé when we ordered our dinner because we shouldn't miss out on this dessert and it takes some time to bake the soufflé. Oh my goodness...I have never tasted something so divine, creamy and luscious. Silk on my tongue. The service from Nick and the young lady assisting was spot on. It is an expensive restaurant but I think worth the $$$$ Just be aware of the cost so you're not surprised. I've dined at Alinea in Chicago which is a 3 Michelin star restaurant ranked 9th on the World's 50 Best Restaurants list, and Chanterelle might be my 2nd most favorite restaurant after Alinea.
