    haddock w/couscous and corn

Food was great. I had haddock, usually not my favorite, but it was really good. My son and wife had scallops, also very good. My daughter's boyfriend had really good duck breast - almost as good as I get in France. Ambience inside is dated. Chillingsworth was long ago the first fine French restaurant on the part of Cape Cod. It appears that they have not updated the interior in 40+ years. It is a bit charming but also quite stuffy. We had asked for a "bistro" table outside in our on-line reservation, but they seated up inside. The outside seating in the summer is more pleasant. As many other reviewers have noted, the service and kitchen can be erratic. It took a long time for our order to be prepared. The waitress, who was good, comped our table with a glass of wine for each of us.

Incredible dinner in a most adorable setting with outstanding service. My fav was the pistachio crème brûlée. The warm olive app is must!

Loved everything about this place! Went to a Wedding that held their reception here and I loved the ambiance, food, drinks and the service! The bartenders were literally the best! Great drinks, conversations and super helpful. Julie Thompson made the best drinks. I'm someone who doesn't enjoy the taste of alcohol so she made me a cosmopolitan and it tasted so delicious, exactly like a strawberry lemonade! She was so helpful with recoding videos for the family and I, overall a pleasure to be around. Hope to go back and enjoy more time there!

FAKE REVIEWs 5/14/23 Recent review-This place is a complete dump PEOPLE NEED TO KNOW Stopped in for Mother's Day. There wasn't a single thing that was positive with this place. In fact it was a horror show looked like a dump from the outside on the inside it was like someone's house. The service was fast but the waitress was rude and unfriendly, she seemed like she was teint to rush us out. The food was utterly disgusting, I got the chicken and mashed potatoes. Chicken was completely undercooked and tasted like freezer. The mashed potatoes were weren't even mashed, and were also undercooked. The salad that came with it has dirt in it and The prices were absolutely insane nothing below 32$ for an entree with meat. 300$ for three people with no drinks.

Delicious 5* dinner, service and ambiance! The perfect place for dinner. A must for visitors and locals alike. Chillingsworth has a charming and delightful garden location or eat inside the antique home. We sat in the garden room surrounded by geraniums. The food is sublime, we had gazpacho, foie gras, truffle risotto and grilled duck. Everything was cooked to perfection. We finished with Angel cake and sticky toffee pudding. Delicious! Our waitress was so kind and gave great recommendations. Even with a full dining room the food arrived timely and at a perfect temperature. She even joked with us and made us feel as though we were her only special guests. Don't miss out on this slice of paradise in Brewster. If you only go to one restaurant this summer, it has to be Chillingsworth. We have already booked our next dinner and cannot wait to return.

Absolutely out of this world fine dining + service. Every year we come to the cape we try and get a reservation here and thankfully with all the added outdoor seating it's been an absolute dream! KerriLee is the best server I've ever had. So attentive and made the best suggestions! The food is delicious!! The best flavors ever. And the best presentation!! It was so yum! Highly recommend!

Delicious food in a great setting! Well worth the money. They handle COVID precautions really well and spread guests out appropriately in their scenic garden.

First time diners and we were thoroughly impressed not only with the delicious food, eclectic ambiance but the AMAZING staff! KerriLee was our server, she was not only friendly and accommodating but extremely knowledgeable. She told us about the history of the restaurant and made wonderful food recommendations based on our preferences. We had the privilege of meeting the owner! We look forward to our next visit hopefully soon.

The food was delicious, the cocktail choices were perfectly reflective of the season and the wine list was extensive. The portion sizes are nice enough to enjoy each dish without the feeling of being overwhelmed. We started an early dinner and enjoyed desserts well into the evening without ever feeling rushed allowing us to enjoy several wines and after-dinner aperitifs. The staff was super attentive and service was excellent after it got going. (We waited a bit after we ordered and there were no "munchies" or anything during the gap of time). Food was delicious - we had several salads, the tuna crudo, the mushroom appetizer (a real standout), lobster carbonara (the appetizer portion is a perfect size for a multi-course meal), scallops, and the sticky toffee pudding was out of this world. Food presentation also lovely. They also brought out a slice of birthday cake to celebrate! We walked the grounds afterwards and this is truly a special environment.

Fun conversation with women next to me who were at Marshside for first time. Visited by a server who sings. Come on! I enjoyed a nice martini, clam chowder, and oysters. That marsh view! Though it was a little drizzly, they seated us by the window, giving a beautiful view of the marsh. We had the Mac and cheese with lobster, the swordfish, the salmon, the lobster risotto with spring peas, and the clams with linguini. All were delicious and beautifully prepared. Complaints - no bread service, especially as it took 30 min to prepare. I could have sworn they had bread before. Clams had sand in them unfortunately. Staff was unable to find any red chili flakes. Staff were appropriately courteous throughout the meal, although front of house did seem a bit flustered with the crowds.

The wedge salad and Thai chicken dumplings were a great start. And the pan seared salmon and pan seared swordfish were also very tasty with interesting sides. But, the baked stuffed shrimp was only okay, as the orange-citrus sweet sauce was overpowering and off-putting and the forbidden rice was inedible. My friend's pork chop was way overcooked and dry. The service was a big detractor. Our waitress barely engaged with our table of four. She arrived with our main course and noticed all the appetizer plates hadn't been cleared and set our hot dinners on a tray stand while she removed empty plates. Awkward! She never checked on our dinners, and when we were almost finished, she returned to ask if we wanted more wine or another cocktail. Too late! It's unfortunate as some of the food was really good, but at $100/person (with tip), I'd expect better.
