Overall great restaurant with some limited vegan options. Inside seems a bit crowded but the covered patio is a great option. The food was good and the portions were large. While the staff was great they did seem to be a bit overwhelmed. My only other recommendation would be to install some patio heaters for colder nights and get some more comfortable chairs. This restaurant changed hands at 4:55 pm this afternoon and the new team pulled off the ultimate experience. You have when making reservations the opportunity to dine either outside under a tent, at a pub table near the bar or in their inside dining room. Any of these areas provide a very romantic ambience and experience. Kirstin (front of the house/owner) and Jake her brother, (Executive Chef/owner) along with a very personable and experienced bartender Brian along w/ incredible service provided by Karis w/ support by April made this a most enjoyable evening. The menu is currently and for the most part the same offerings as the prior restaurant but you be assured that Jake plans to change things up over the coming months and I have heard the restaurant will be serving year round..a very positive experience for the Cape! An excellent Negroni made by Brian followed by a Caesar salad that was accompanied by rolls and butter (great to see free bread service). Entrees consisted of Veal Oscar (generous portion of crab that accompanied the veal along w/ asparagus and an excellent bernaise sauce. The sirloin steak was 12 oz. and cooked as requested with mashed which were just great. Dinner ended with a split dessert of a chocolate flourless cake, green tea w/ pomegranate and a Baileys/Grand Marnier to end a most enjoyable evening. This restaurant has great potential and capability w/ such a caring team that does everything to take care of their new and existing customers. I have frequented the Brewster/Orleans area on Cape since I was born ! I have driven by the Beacon Room a million times and just never been in! Finally last summer I came in and was so pleasantly surprised! The food was delicious the ambiance was relaxing, and the drinks were strong and good! Since it is tucked a bit off the main road it doesn't feel so Cape Tourist! I took my aunt with me this time, and once again delicious! She had the Cod with risotto which was fabulous and I had the Sole with curry and grape salad with Jasmine rice. I had the curry sauce on the side to try it out first, but oh man was it great! I've heard they may be up for sale, and I hope that whichever person takes over changes almost nothing! I especially love the for sale artwork all around! Highly recommend! read more

Let's start with the fact that I reserved a table for the right day, right time but wrong week! No worries, the fabulous hostess found a way to fix my error and we were seated in about five minutes. Our server was equally pleasant and helpful. Wine by the glass selection was ample and everyone found something they liked. Our guests had the swordfish special and the sole; they were both raving about their dinners the next day. Without a doubt, the best duck I've ever had! Came here in 2024 and came back to enjoy the duck again in 2025. Doesn't disappoint. The skin is so crispy and inside so moist. For apps we also had a scallop special over a bed of corn and fries. Both were good. My friend got the chicken parm in 2024 and also loved it. The service is always great as well! read more

Stumbled upon The Beacon Room when exploring down Cape and we are so happy that we did. Many of the other restaurants in the area are closed for lunch, especially during the winter, so make sure you check this place out if you're looking for a good lunch spot. Atmosphere is fantastic. A bit on the fancy side, but you could also be casual. There is plenty of parking and a decent amount of tables. From the parking lot, it looked pretty busy but we were still sat right away as a party of 4. They have an extensive cocktail list, which we dabbled with. We ordered one of the mocktails and added gin which was phenomenal and also tried their Negroni cocktail, which was just okay. Out of everything we ordered, it was the only item that didn't impress us. For appetizers, we tried both of the soups; the clam chowder and their soup of the day which was a butternut bisque. Both were great, however we did need to add a bit of salt to the chowder to bring out the flavor. Their lunch menu is mostly sandwiches, but they all sounded delicious. I got the Reuben which was one of the best ones I've ever had and opted for the truffle fries ($4 upcharge). My husband got the Fish & Chips and we split both. Everything was delicious. read more

We were celebrating our one year wedding anniversary and the waitress kept trying to box our food up and even our wine all the while saying "no rush" as that made up for her rushing us through all of our drinks, food orders, and dessert. Our group of 5 went to The Beacon Room to celebrate a birthday. What a wonderful time! The food was excellent, the service was amazing, and our whole party had a great time. I had the grilled salmon - a generous portion, perfectly cooked. Our birthday girl had a dinner of appetizers, with the perfectly fried artichokes and bacon-wrapped scallops. All in our party had a great dinner, with plenty of leftovers. Which was a good thing, since we all needed room for birthday cake desert! Took family for retirement dinner on a Saturday evening in July. Our table next to a window was ready when we arrived. Wine and beer selection was good. Service was great. Meal was outstanding. Restaurant fails to follow enforced state laws around animals in restaurant as they do not have a permit. The law is very clear a permit is required. This restaurant claimed they couldn't ask the people with a dog if they had paperwork for their miniature Yorker because it would make too much of a fuss. Last time I checked miniature Yorkies are not service dogs. When asking the manager about the permit they said they didn't want to make a fuss with the dog owner. But guess it's ok to put heart transplant patients at risk. Will be calling the health department Monday to alert them and already contacted BBB at this massive failure. read more

How could I have missed this place? I am told it's been around for 25 years. If you're looking for excellent food (that is creative but not fussy), a charming atmosphere, and warm and competent service -- The Beacon Room is the place. I couldn't have been happier sitting under their outside tent eating the Fra Diavolo (that was just spicy enough), my wife was equally happy with the pistachio crusted sole and the limoncelli cake for 2 was the perfect way to end a great meal. The Beacon Room is a must do. We ventured upon The Beacon Room last year and had such a great experience that we talked about it throughout the year. We knew when we came back this fall we had to go again. The atmosphere is welcoming, restaurant is cozy and warm. The food.... Amazing. Staff.. amazing. In particular, Brian. We made early reservations for a hi-top (definitely make reservations). We asked if the bar was available when we arrived and it turns out it was.. which is what we hoped for. We had such a great experience with Brian last time, so this was a great surprise. Brian is attentive, personable, listens and very knowledgeable of cocktails and food recommendations. He interacts with customers, knows what they like.. all while handling a full bar. You can also share with Brian what you're thinking of ordering and what appetizer might pair up well with that. He's spot on, too! This year we had the Burrata app.. amazing. Lovely toasted bread with garlic, greens and fresh cherry tomatoes. We ordered the duck (as did I last year) and the NY strip, rare. Both came with the phenomenal Brussel sprouts, mashed potatoes and cranberry sauce. Absolutely fantastic. We each ordered dirty martinis , which were delicious and made perfectly. We will definitely be back next year and will continue to highly recommend The Beacon Room. If you are visiting the cape, we highly recommend you add this gem to your places to visit. It didn't taste badly per se but the seafood was way over cooked and had a tough texture and the chicken was just bland. The salads were amazing though!
