This is a very popular place so I recommend calling to make a reservation, especially if you plan on coming with a large group. They have one large table inside. Other than that it's 2-4 person tables (indoor and outdoor) and the counter at the bar. The tables can obviously be placed together for bigger groups. Still, make a reservation. The interior decor seems to be all over the place, but it works, creating a cool hip vibe. We started out with the queso fundido and tuna creo rolls. Both were good. I'd reorder them. I would like to note that they don't automatically serve you chips and salsa. Older reviews mention they are complimentary but newer reviews state that is no longer the case. You have to ask for them and they'll charge you. We didn't ask for them because the queso fundido comes with chips. For the main course, I had the chimichanga. I saw a photo one one with melted cheese over it (gratinado). The one I received had a creamy cilantro based sauce. It was delicious, and with crema on the side... wow. I will definitely get this again. My mom had the encebollado tacos. She could only eat two of the three that came with the order. I ate it the next day. Yum. The only disappointment were the churros. They weren't bad, just average. And after a great meal, average didn't cut it.

We waved as we walked in to a waiter, pointed to a seemingly available picnic table, and he waved that we were good to go, so we sat right away, at 7:45p...after that more tables opened up. Drinks: 1. Pina colada - no bueno...like a coconut ice, not pina colada. 2. Passion fruit juice with fresh mint - delicious! 3. Cherry juice drink with alcohol - wife liked it, and I thought it was good. Appetizers: 1. Beef empanadas- I thought the crust overpowered the meat and onion, but daughter and wife loved it. 2. Nachos - terrible. Chips were stale and cheese/beans covering was bare, but then they gave us additional refried beans in a little cup, and straight I thought the refried beans were delicious. 3. Baha fish tacos - phenomenal!!! Entrees: 1 Chicken fajitas: disappointing. The spicing was off, on the chicken, and the guacamole was mostly sour cream. 2. Steak fajitas: very good and way better than the chicken Service was quick and the staff knew their stuff, but it took a long time to get the bill because other tables came in.

Decor is what one would expect for a Mexican style restaurant but with a few extras like a TV and radio playing in the background. We really enjoyed our experience the first time we were here so we brought a friend back with us, especially to try the churros. But first we ordered some Posole, Enchiladas, and Flautas. All were delicious and filling. They had good flavor and were nicely presented. The refried beans and guacamole that the enchiladas and flautas came with were also very good. We also ordered some churros and these were wonderfully delicious again. Really the churros here are the best I've had in PR. Very good. I would have given this place a 5 star review the first time we ate here but I missed the opportunity. This time was slightly different in that our experience felt more around a 4 star quality as the staff was a bit distracted and not as prompt. But for the most part service is good, the food is very good, and again we had a nice experience. So I awarded the 5 stars. I highly recommend Casita Mexicana. Good stuff here.

You have the option to get either 2 or 3. Though it is just the tacos themselves. No rice or salad included. Still I added the rice to my meal and didn't regret it. The nachos were listed under the appetizers, don't let that stop you from getting them as a meal if you'd like. My wife wanted them as her entree and they were more than enough. She didn't finish them. Even better than the food was the view. We sat outside and you probably should too if that's you're thing. You're right at the water with the sound of waves crashing in the background. No alcoholic drinks for either of us. I only got a sprite and water (they used bottled Fiji if you order it still but sparkling was also an option) but my wife had 2 mocktails. She said they were really good. Strawberry and mango flavors. Nachos, 3 birria tacos, side of rice, 2 mocktails, and 1 glass of sprite. Not sure if the water was free or not honestly lol. Everything came to almost $105 before tip. So you're paying for the atmosphere and the food. Which we were okay with. Would recommend and would visit again.

Our server was friendly and very knowledgeable about the menu. My husband had Tinga tacos which were so flavorful and fresh. I opted for the Birria tacos which I have never had (gasp).
