    Carne asada, birria, al pastor

Great tacos; I had the carne asada, Al pastor, and birria. The birria was my favorite.

    Asada , Pastor , and Birria .

Just left Chilos Taqueria with my three tacos. I bought pastor, asada, and Birria. Once I got home I started with the Birria. It's amazing ! The sauces were both too hot for my weak palet, but I didn't let that stop me. Just tiny dipped my taco. . Next is the pastor...ok. The flavor doesn't pop like the Birria, but it's still good. Now it's time for asada. Asada taco is still my favorite. This place has good food, Friendly service, and a simple yet pleasing atmosphere.

Needed a late night food spot on my way home and really wanted tacos. To my surprise this place is…read moreopen 24/7 so it was an easy pick. The reviews were decent so I figured why not give it a try. It's attached to a gas station which gave me pause but I decided to try it anyhow. When we walked in, it immediately smelled like cigarette smoke. In any other instance I would've turned around but I was so hungry and there was actually a lot of foot traffic so I proceeded. The spot itself was crowded with boxes everywhere and it felt super grungy but I knew what I was getting myself into. Ordering and getting my tacos was pretty easy - made to order but came out quick. I settled on some chicken tacos. Once I got home I was slightly disappointed. The chicken really didn't have any seasoning and flavor. Once I added my hot sauces it was good but I just wanted a little more flavor to work with. As crazy as it sounds, I would try the birria if I was ever in the area, it seemed to be literally what everyone else was ordering. Overall wouldn't necessarily recommend but it wasn't terrible.

I came in and ordered 3 quesabirria tacos. It took almost 30 mins to receive. I drove home and…read moredidn't look into my to go box until I was in my kitchen. I opened my tacos to see how they were looking and there was absolutely no cheese at all. Cheese is one of the main ingredients of a quesabirria taco. How did you forget that? Now let's get to the worst of it all. Before I thoroughly picked through the meat I started tearing the 2nd layers of the tacos off to prepare to eat it because I don't like to eat a double taco shell. I was gonna take the L and just add my own cheese until I realized about 70% of the "meat" was fat and the weird connective tissue looking stuff ( the fat is the lighter parts in the meat mixture and look at the stuff I was stretching in my video). So now I'm taking it back for a refund. I let the cashier know it was mostly fat, and I was there for a refund. She took it back to the kitchen, returned trying to see if I wanted something else on the menu, and I told her I didn't want anything else after my experience with the tacos. At this point she has an attitude and asked me did I have my receipt like she didn't just see me 15 mins prior. After going back and forth with me she hands me $14 when the cost was $16.83. I told her she shorted me and she goes back and forth with me again. I showed her the receipt. She accused me of eating one of the tacos and you couldn't pay me to eat those scraps! She asked for the money back she already gave me before she would give me the right amount back. I did and then she hands me $16. I went off and told her I wanted every dollar of my money back and she tells me to have a good night and walked off. Clayton County just happened to be in the parking lot dealing with something else so I went out and talked to a officer about coming in to assist me with getting my refund. I went back in and told her that she can either give me my other dollar or deal with the officer when they come in. She finally gives me the dollar and says you're obviously broke and you need it. Baby let's be clear, I probably make more in a day than what you make on your 1 week check. It's about principle. Y'all made me waste my gas, my time, and gave me poor quality scraps. You owe me every dime I gave y'all and more. The officer came in and asked me was I good. I let the officer know I now had all my money and went home. HORRIBLE PLACE, HORRIBLE CASHIER, AND I RECEIVED HORRIBLE QUALITY FOOD.

I believe we waited for about 15-20 minutes for them to fix 4 different orders plus there was two customers in front of us. The tacos were on point and the elote was not only good but enough to share with. We also had the mango agua which was refreshing and delicious. There is not a lot of seating inside so if it's busy you'll be eating in the car or taking it to go. You can see the entire kitchen from the front so you can watch the prepare your food. It's quieter inside as well which made it a perfect, quick stop for lunch. I highly recommend stopping through when you're in the area, I know I will hunt for it again when in ATL.

The tri-cities area has such a food drought that businesses can get away with mediocre food. Georgia overall is behind on the food scene. The non hyped taco trucks in Cali and Texas would laugh in the faces of many of the spots around town. I've been here on two different occasions and it is a hit or miss based off of who is on the grill. Service is quick. There is no real ambience, it is truly a grab and go spot. The elote is canned corn with some crema and queso fresco.... The salsa that comes with the chips is sweet... like pace picante... just so many short cuts are taken it really is disappointing and it shows. I would rather a price increase and see quality and creativity improve.
