Unhappy birthday to me! I drove past 2 Mexican restaurants and 45 mins to visit La Fiesta for my birthday. I've had good experiences in the past. However, this was the worst food (fajitas had no flavor and appeared to be boiled meat and veggies on a hot plate). See the photo of the leftovers I had saved to add to this review. Our food was staggered and most of our guest were halfway through their meals before me, my wife and son received our food. The guac was more like a dip and came out so fast. It wasn't freshly prepared. The queso was soupy. The drinks, which are usually strong, barely had a kick even after adding the tube of tequila. We spent more than $200 (with a mandatory gratuity) for Taco Bell quality food and fast food service. You'll never get another dollar from me or my family. Thanks for ruining my birthday dinner. For those that travel and stay by ATL airport options can be slim. Visited La Fiesta and was greeted with a smile and sat at the bar to watch football. The beer rita was just what I needed after a long day. Chips and salsa were spot on and also asked for spicy salsa per the other review and was excellent. Went to this place yesterday after leaving an award show ... it was literally 3 buildings away from the hotel where my event was. It was my brothers 51st birthday and I just accepted the Founders Award from the gospel choice music awards. Needless to say we were STARVING lol This place had a queso con chorizo that was AMAZING!!! Fresh chips, overly mild salsa (if you ask for the spicy salsa, they bring out a fantastic salsa verse and salsa rojo). Don Chilos (carnitas burrito) is amazing! Carnitas a little crispy, but the same salsa rojo from above smothers this burrito with cheese melted on top. The rice, again a little bland. Wow!!!! Where can I start?! I can't say enough great things about the food, service & atmosphere. My experience even after my meal ended was superb. I came here solo for a 1 day trip and was given a booth seat immediately upon entering (which is my favorite). I ordered 2 carne asada tacos with a side of mushrooms and a side of rice. WOW!! The tacos were some of the best freshest tacos I've had in a very long time. The mushrooms were cooked to perfection & the rice was delicious. The presentation was amazing as well. I ended up leaving my retainer that I just got from my dentist and called them right at close. They not only let me search for the retainer but helped me find it for almost 1 hour!!! The worst Mexican restaurant I have ever attempted to eat. I was in absolute discuss at the lack of taste. The chips were hard enough to hurt your teeth. The staff didn't wanting to be at work. It took forever to get straws. If it wasn't your waiter, then forget about another server helping you. The restaurant itself look clean enough but still giving a 70's vibe. Having a one night stay over we needed a quick local place and this place rocked! Quick service and such polite staff and servers who took great care and checked on us frequently. Inside was a tad louder than I would have liked but we were seated under a speaker playing music. We had chicken and steak fajitas with beans and rice and were NOT disappointed! Wow, what a disappointment. Where do I start... 1) Margarita was watery & hardly any tequila for $12 bucks. Tasteless rip-off. 2) Chimichangas are supposed to be fried. This one had the consistency of rice paper on the outside. Very marginal. 3) Beans were watery, tasteless & almost warm. 4) Rice was tasteless but warm. Even generous dashes of Cholula didn't help. 5) Salsa was straight out of a cheap can or bottle with little taste or zip. 6) Chips are out of a bag, but they were not stale which was a win. 7) Cleanliness was ok & they seemed to be following Covid guidelines. 8) Service was ok - nothing particularly bad, just ok. I grew up in Southern Arizona eating incredible Sonoran style Mexican food, so I know what's good & what's not. This is not. This is one of the best Mexican restaurants I have had the pleasure of dining in. Great atmosphere and beautiful decor with wonderful staff. I was greeted with a smile and immediately seated with a menu, home made tortilla chips and salsa. My drink arrived in seconds and was never less than half full. I ordered the carne asada, and it came to my table sizzling on a skillet in less than 15 minutes. Served with the best rice and beans I've had in years, and it was more than I could finish. 3.5 star if I could do that. Came here for dinner and was pleasantly surprised on the menu and drinks. I ordered a margarita to start with and it was decent overall. It tasted more like the mixer and less like an alcoholic drink (which some people might like) but I think it could have used a little more tequila. For my meal I ordered the hot and spicy burrito, which was very tasty. The flavor was good and it had a decent amount of spiciness, which I loved. It was an average sized burrito, not large but not small. I think if the margarita was made better I would have given this place at least a 4 star because the burrito I had was awesome (and my buddies meal looked great too, but he had the same comment about his margarita). I never got a chance to experience this place due to attempting to come here on Cinco De Mayo after work. Pulled up in an overloaded parking lot to chaos really. People everywhere and packed out. I went inside the music was bumping three different ways from the outside patio and the two rooms inside the place. Everyone had a drink in their hand in plastic cups. A bit hood ratchet but sometimes these places are the best hole in the walls. We attempted to put our name in the waiting list. I couldn't hear anything due to the loud music. The wait time for 2 or 3 hours. Say what? I started looking around. The crowd that was there were not the type to eat and leave. These folks were dug in here for a party as if this was their home. No way I'm out. I asked one lady with a drink in her hand hkw long she had been waiting. She said over two hours. Thank you mam. Im over this place. Fiesta owes me nothing! My 74 year old aunt stated she wanted something cold to drink. I stated lets get some frozen margaritas. We set out to find a Mexican restaurant and ended up at Fiesta. We sat in the bar area. The waitress brought over chips and salsa. The salsa is very tasty with a roasted garlic flavor. The chips were fresh. They currently have a charge for extra salsa, fifty cents a bowl due to the demand and supply of tomatoes and other ingredients., Have no issue with this but damn give me a big bowl and not that baby bowl of salsa. We ordered a pitcher of passion fruit frozen margaritas. The glass comes with a test tube shot of liquor. Woooo someone get Jesus on the mainline I live to far to be drinking like this but that pitcher of passion fruit had us feeling RIGHT!!! My aunt had 2 beef tacos and she stated they were delicious.
