That's probably how Taco Bell is surviving directly across the street because I would have rather went there. They need to allow the grease to drain from the meat, no flavor in the food. I won't elaborate on that because that wasn't MY experience but I do feel it was worth mentioning. Decided last minute to have lunch with a coworker and this place was close and had good reviews. Thought we would order at the counter and then sit and eat but the waitress gave us table service. I was staying at a local hotel and this place was recommended to me so I rushed over (walking) because they were about to close. I was pleasantly greeted when I walked in and I asked if I need to take my order for a to go order because they were closing. I was told that was not necessary, please seat anywhere you want and we will bring you your order. This is a very big exception as most places when I have come in close to closing I would not even be able to place an order. Thank you!!! My burrito and tacos were great. The cook brought them to my table and I began to "chow down." The staff was cleaning up doing what they do at closing and never once made me feel uncomfortable or unwelcome. So out of my curiosity I asked one of them if the owner was in...He sure was, as he WAS the owner. What a pleasant conversation we had! The food, service, atmosphere, and staff were top notch and even now after 3 hours no heartburn as can happen with spicy homemade sauce. Just a wonderful business night meal on the road! I will be back at the same hotel in the future just to return and have another wonderful meal. What a great set up! These folks have partnered with Beer Girl in Hapeville and it works out great. Me and some of the guys went to Beer Girl after work last night to have a couple beers. On the table is the QR code for Taco Pete. We scanned, ordered, and about 30-40 minutes later they delivered to our table! Talk about convenience! On top of that, the food was really good. I had their chili cheese nachos and a steak quesadilla and both were great. Everything came still hot and fresh, and the taste was excellent. Their sauce does have a little kick to it, I loved it. Small out of the way spot in Hapeville. Was visiting a friend in town who was staying at a hotel close to Taco Pete. We got there around 5, sat at the bar, and was promptly greeted by Chris. We ordered a round of drinks and asked about food. Chris gave us his top suggestions, so we tried the cheeseburger w/fries, wings, and a quesadilla. We ordered the quesadilla half chicken, half steak. They use burrito tortillas to make the quesadilla, because it was huge! Cut into 4 pieces-2 chicken, 2 steak, the chicken was better seasoned than the steak. Chris had told us they make their burger blend in house, so I ordered mine medium. It came out a tad more done than I ordered, but still juicy. The fries were seasoned, hot, and crispy. We spit the 10pc wings with 2 flavors, medium lemon/pepper and their House sauce. The wings were seasoned well and hot. Obviously, Taco Pete is well known in the area, because they had a busy takeout clientele coming through whole time we were there. Go see Chris. After trying the food at Taco Pete, I really felt some type of way that no one told me how good the food was previously. It's not close to where I live, but I was in the area after a hair appointment and decided to stop by. At the time I went, only takeout was available. They have a few combos, but I decided to order a la carte. I ordered hard shell ground beef taco, a soft shell shrimp taco and 5 lemon pepper wings. The shrimp taco was my favorite. Although it's simple, all the ingredients were fresh and the lightly cooked shell really made a difference. The wings were delicious and could rival any well known Atlanta staple. I've loved Taco Pete ever since the first time I had it. I typically go to the Main Street location, but they're closed due to COVID. However, the Bistro is up and running for takeout and delivery via GrubHub. I'd been craving Taco Pete for weeks, so on Friday, I finally decided to drive down and get some. I called in my order before I left home. I ordered three soft shell tacos (2 beef, 1 shrimp) and an order of French fries. I wanted one of their mini sweet potato fries, but they were sold out. I was told it would be 10-15 minutes, so I hopped in the car and headed there. When I was almost there, I got a call saying my food was ready. When I arrived, I went inside to pay and pickup my food promptly, and I actually wound up eating in my car because I didn't wanna wait and I didn't want my food to get cold on the 20 minute drive home. I haven't had Taco Pete in about a year or two and boyyy, how I've missed it! The tacos had a nice crisp to the outside from being heated on the griddle. There were so many juicy toppings inside that they almost fall out the taco and the juice runs down your arm lol. Just goodness! The fries weren't as crispy as I would've liked, but they were still good and seasoned with some type of dry taco seasoning. When I tell y'all I tore that food UP! This was our first time having Taco Pete so I wasn't sure what to expect. First off, the service was so great! The person on the phone was so nice and easy to order with. When I arrived they were very friendly and pick up was smooth. Now the food... it was good!! We got 3 crispy chicken tacos, 1 soft chicken taco, and 1 shrimp burrito. We LOVED the crispy tacos and would definitely order those again. The shrimp burrito was just ok, but not bad. The soft taco tasted great but was messy and mushy so recommend eating those very quickly if you do order them. We spent about $27 total which we thought was good deal. I had an amazing time here tonight. And I will definitely be back. Upon walking in we were greeted by a smiling face. The inside is very clean and there is ample space to be comfortable. The menu offers a variety of items and has something for everyone. I ordered some wings and 2 tacos. The wings were very good. Well seasoned and cooked to perfection. The tacos were very fresh with fresh fixings and a homemade sauce that pairs well with the flavors. If I tell you that I had some of the best chicken wings I have ever had add a taco place, you will probably not believe me. But you better, because this is exactly what the place is about. I really enjoyed the chicken wings, two flavors of the lemon pepper and hot wings and both were equally amazing. Great food from an awesome family run business. I was in the area for a work trip and got recommended here by a local. I couldn't tell from the reviews but they have a small bar too! The menu is limited but everything I tried was really good. Make sure you order tacos so you can try their home made hot sauce. It's amazing! This spot came to Hapeville when Joffrey's Cafe left. It's convenient for thos lodging at the Best Western hotel. Elizabeth was very warm & welcoming as were all the staff. The food was just ok. I got the two chicken tacos with rice & beans. The tacos were basic. The rice & beans had a different taste that wasn't of my liking. My friend liked his shrimp taco salad. It's a nice addition to the neighborhood. The prices are reasonable. I'll return for a second try & try another food selection. I applaud this restaurant for effort. I had a 14-hour layover and stayed in a nearby hotel. It was attached to Taco Pete's, so that's where we went for food and beverages. Would I go back? Sure! The staff was really friendly. There were only a couple beers on tap, but they were good. One was local from Hapeville and actually was a Mexican dark lager style. It was done well. My buddy ordered the fajitas, and he enjoyed them. I gorged myself on chips, salsa, guacamole, and beans. They make the guacamole to order, so it might take a few minutes, but it's worth the wait. So the fact that this place is inside a hotel is not the reason for the one star. Just wanted to make that clear. We try restaurants in many places around and on the outskirts of Atlanta. We arrived here a little before 10 as we'd just left the corner tavern and wanted something to eat. Upon walking in, the hostess greeted us very nicely and we asked to sit at the bar. (Hence the reason this place didn't get 0stars) After sitting at the bar, the bartender was rushing us to take an order. We had never been there before, so I'm guessing that annoyed her... idk. Anyways, I ordered a chili-cheese dog and my girlfriend ordered chili-cheese fries. After placing the order, I noticed one of the cooks kept walking past the door staring at my girlfriend. She's beautiful, so I can see someone looking or doing a double take. But FIVE TIMES?!?! That's super creepy man lol When the food got out, we were excited! However, my chili-cheese dog was super burnt and A.G.'s fries were hard. Two of the easiest things and somehow they were too lazy to make them correctly? Adding chili and cheese doesn't cover up the fact that the hotdog is burnt. Smh. When we were ready to check out, I asked the lady to do it when she was finished sweeping the bar area. It's was pretty good for quick Mexican food we both got steak burritos. The steak was really good it's shredded so that was a nice surprise. The meals come with like 5 chips so if you want chips definitely order nachos. We ordered the cheese nachos as well it just comes with queso, sour cream, pickled jalapeños but they were very good.
