Nice venue but absolutely horrible food. Very good service;however.Frankly, I have no idea as to why it's crowded.

Plenty of fresh and crunchy veggies, though light on the chicken, which was in big cubes, not small chunks. Coconut rice was bland with no discernible coconut flavor. Margs were tasty and presented nicely. Service was prompt, polite, and attentive. Recommend they add an Asian beer of two to the menu, such as Singha or Tsingtao and spice up the food more.

Thai food in Mexico, don't mind if we do!…read more Siam Cocina Thai was our first sit down meal on a Friday night. We were greeted as soon as we stepped in and guided to a table of our choice. The ambiance was perfect for dinner. Great lighting, awesome spaced out layout and still very intimate. I noted a lot of their vegetarian, vegan and even gluten free options on the menu as well as all the beverage options. We shared a bottle of mineral water and enjoyed a classic mojito (para mi) and cerveza (for him). I definitely eyed over their curry, noodles, plates, stir frys, soups, salads and appetizers but ultimately settled on some impressionable Yellow Curry w/ Tofu and a side of rice. It was so unique in flavor compared to curry back in California or even other countries I've visited... Definitely a bit of PV flare! Our server was very attentive, especially during the first half of our Siam experience. All the staff was kind, friendly and personable. Quality service + quality eats = can't beat! The decor is a blend of many inflections of Thai culture with trace amounts of Puerto Vallarta, especially in the floor patterns, tables and color palette. Restrooms are clean, easy to use and just based the bar/main register area toward the back center of Cocina Thai. We didn't have any sort of wait as it was the weekend before Beef Dip and not on a holiday. They do take reservations on their website online as well as via telephone. SCT gets busy for event weeks/weekends and major dine out holidays like Valentines, but generally is pretty easy to get seated and enjoy.

Siam Cocina Thai - A great dish but they over seasoned it and it was extremely salty! We had to delute the saltiness with eating it with lots of jasmine rice

I ordered off of the restaurant week menu while my SO opted to order off of the regular one. He started with the calamari, which was quite good. Nice and light breading and not overcooked. We sampled the papaya salad (one of the best I've ever tasted), coconut fried rice with yellow curry, drunken noodles with shrimp and mango sticky rice. This was my first time trying mango sticky rice and I'm glad I did it here because Mexico has such excellent mangos. It was fantastic and is now a new favorite. The curry rice was also delicious but for me, was a lot of food, which is not a bad thing. A great value actually since I got three meals out of it! They also serve margaritas by the pitcher, which is literally illegal in the ridiculous state we are from so we were very excited at this option. The full pitcher was a bit much for 2 but my friends, not to worry! They do a half pitcher!!! Our server was so nice and did a great job. Food came out very quickly as well. We had a great time at Archie's Wok and it has been added to our list of musts when in PV.

I ordered take out since the wife wanted to stay in. Pork egg rolls, Mongolian curry beef, almond chicken and fried rice. I had a lemonade while I was waiting. Everything was packaged well (lids taped on, sauce servings with lids, wrapped in cling film. The food was tasty. While I was not much more than 5 minutes back to the hotel, the egg rolls were soggy. The sweet and sour sauce for them was very good, great flavor and not overly thick. I asked for the curry to be hot, but not too hot, it was pretty mild. Definitely worth giving it a shot when you're looking to switch things up. Like most of PV, it was good and it was spendy (about 1,400 MXD for 2 mains, combination fried rice and 3 pork egg rolls + 1 lemonade).

The Asian chicken soup was deeply comforting and flavorful; light yet incredibly satisfying. The tuna poke was beautifully presented and spot-on with flavor; fresh, bright, and perfectly balanced. Then came the chicken Alfredo... and wow. Rich, creamy, indulgent, and honestly one of the best we've ever had. Do not skip the hibiscus agua fresca (called Jamaica in Mexico); refreshing, slightly tart, and the perfect companion to the meal. My hubbs even said that if he had to choose one restaurant in Puerto Vallarta as his favorite, Mi Café would be it for its consistency and value. Charming ambiance, thoughtful presentation, and genuinely warm service make Mi Café an easy recommendation. We'll absolutely be back.

It wasn't a place that would indulge your weakness for gluttony. That was fine by me and Jamie W since we were looking for something tasty but not excessive for breakfast. We were in luck because we found such a place in Mi Cafe. We thought we'd have to wait a while for a table, but fortunate for us, a table opened up just as we entered what looked to be quite a popular restaurant. Jamie went for the MX$165 Popeye Eggs, a pair of scrambled eggs laid on a bed of fresh spinach leaves, ladled with ranchero sauce, and presented with avocado, cherry tomatoes, fresh basil and crispy bacon strips (Photo 10). The freshness of the ingredients really enhanced the flavors of the dish. The same could be said about my order, the MX$165 Vegetarian Omelette which was a fluffy two-egger filled with zucchini, red onion, spinach, and sliced mushrooms accompanied by seasoned potato wedges and a fresh fruit cup (Photo 9). No toast needed as the plates were quite satisfying on their own.
