I've ordered here for take out a few times over the past couple of months and the service and most of all the food has been fantastic! I really love their bourbon chicken with pork fired rice. Moved to Deland 6 weeks ago and have tried all the Chinese restaurants around. No body knows how to make fried rice, until we tried China 90, tonight. Best egg drop soup I've ever had, fried rice was excellent and the happy family was delicious. My wife, all 100 lbs of her, cleaned her plate and went back fir 2nds. Highly recommend the restaurant. Had high hopes when I read the reviews; they were shattered quickly. Food is worth one star but place is genuinely clean and offers comfortable seating so they get an extra star. The noodles are decent but giving you sweet and sour sauce with it is strange. The wonton soup didn't have bad flavor but it had ZERO pieces of pork in it. This was my first hint of what was to come. The steamed dumplings lacked flavor and were smallish. The General Tso's (CHICKEN? aka mystery meat) was offensive. The dish came with ZERO vegetables or anything else absent one tiny broccoli floret. Zero semblance of chicken. Many pieces were just breading and some had feint offerings of some unknown dark meat. How is this for cheap? The fried rice is Spanish rice with ZERO pork. Folks if you are this cheap don't open a restaurant. I understand you get what you pay for but I want good food. Charge a few dollars more and start serving it. I wouldn't be back if they sent a limo for me and gave me carte Blanche on their menu. AVOID read more

Very clean and friendly place. The seating area is nicer than the usual carry out places. Appetizers and sides came out separately on small plates. Very fresh vegetables in my Szechuan beef and meat was very tender. If you must order General Tso's chicken ask for white meat. They did that for my wife at no extra charge. I am not a fan of the breading. I have to say that no place in this area makes good fried rice like they do up north but this place had the better of the lot. Very reasonably priced for the amount of food. We will go back and try some other things. read more

Started out that the tall thin waitress brought someone else's food to my table, set it down in front of me and walked away saying "all of this for five bucks!" When I told her that I didn't have chicken, she quickly picked it up and brought it to the correct table. A short time later my food came out. Unimpressive, to say the least. Ask for the hot mustard from the kitchen. Expect your sinuses to be cleared. Added it to almost every bite. Not because the food needed it. I just loved the flavor. Hubby needed convinced to go as he is not fond of Chinese but he LOVED the Teriyaki Chicken and he even got to choose to not have veggies in his pork fried rice. He is a huge fan now. If all that was not enough, as we paid our bill, Mary gave us a loyalty card. After you spend $10. - 10 times, you get a free entrée I foresee a full card soon. Based on a previous review, we decided to try this new (to us) restaurant. We were happy with our choice and will enjoy our to-go box at a later date. Knowing we'd bring home left-overs, we ordered a PuPu Platter to share and a Hot & Sour Soup and a Won ton soup, These were accompanied by those crispy little fried wonton (?) pieces with a dipping sauce which was refilled. My only complaint would be that my wontons were a little thicker than I like but that is a personal preference. We were going to share a Bourbon Chicken but all of that came home with us along with Brown Rice. I was happy to see the choice of white or brown rice. Our waitress/hostess was Joyce, who along with her husband and Dad in the kitchen, own the restaurant, It's been open about a year. We'll be back. read more

Pleasantly surprised at this recently opened restaurant. Previous restaurant at that location had gotten really bad and eventually closed. Good variety on the menu at reasonable prices in a very friendly atmosphere; they will even replace your meal if it is just not to your liking. China 90 place by far the best Chinese food in DeBary / Orange City 4/ DeLand / Daytona. The owner is so nice so don't be mean to her. The food is always fresh and I can't find a better place to eat. I've tried and it's hard to compare. They say their food is done in 20 minutes but it's really done in 10 because they are that great. Highly recommended. Five stars. Two thumbs up. I found China 90 on a day I was starving. I thought it was delivery which was my error. After I didn't show, they called me. I was aggravated with the whole thing but drove the 25 minutes to get it. I'm so glad I did! They made me a fresh order and refunded my tip. The woman working was helpful and kind. I will definitely be going back here. read more

Just cannot believe a restaurant could be so bad. Service and greeting were sketchy, but that's OK just want good Chinese. Well what I had was anything but, my soup was warm and bland, had them reheat, my entree was warm as well......unbelievable. Asked to take it to go but they insisted on a recook which I appreciated. The potstickers were greasy fried dough....some of the worst I have ever had. One positive was the Shrimp egg roll was great. Unfortunately I will never return and do not recommend. I picked up my order on a Monday (many restaurants try to re-use certain items from the weekend which makes it a bit tricky sometimes to get fresh stuff). The food was fresh and very good! I give this restaurant 3 stars because of both the food and the service. I ordered the food online which turned out was not a good alternative to just calling it in. We ordered the food and got to the restaurant fifteen minutes later to find out our order was being received as we entered. We then waited for 35 minutes inside when we were told it would only be about fifteen minutes. When we received the food it was very warm which is a great start. I personally got General Tso's chicken and it was the best General Tso's I had ever eaten. The bourbon chicken was very dry. The eggrolls were average. The potstickers were exquisite. And the chicken chow mein and chow mei fun dishes were good. To sum it up, the restaurant was slightly above average Chinese takeout with excellent potstickers and General Tso's chicken. read more
