The thing that could improve is everything! The service, ambience, the food! The only thing I can say I can order there is a soup. How can they go wrong? I ordered bourbon chicken combination with the fried rice pork fried rice was OK but the bourbon chicken was so hard so dry so overly cooked and all I was calling for was to get a new bourbon chicken one that was not overcooked and dried out. Even with all the bourbon sauce on it, it was so overly cooked, unlike the malls bourbon chicken far from it lol You cannot tell them wrong though they wanted me to order something else because they said the bourbon chicken if I ordered it again would be the same. OK that means you're telling me if I order the same chicken, it will be overcooked and dried out also, no thank you. So I lost $13 out of that deal. I've had other issues with them before with other food not being right I am so done with them. I will not even order soup. Horrible, horrible horrible service. read more

I have been ordering the same dish since the 2nd day they opened I order from them often Tonight I placed an order for delivery and the food was terrible. Has never happened before. I always get Honey Chicken. Tonight the chicken was hard and had black something in a few pieces. I tried to call and let them know. They said the owner nor the manager were there. They said to contact Uber. My thing is Uber did not make my food. Was craving Chinese and wanted to try out a different spot than my usual one. We ordered the food from Doordash so I can't speak on the service. The Krab Rangoon here was good! I liked the filling, some places can't seem to get it right. The Wonton Soup broth had a good flavor and the wontons were standard. The Lunch Special portions are a good size here. I really liked both the General Tso and Sesame Chicken. The sauces were good and I didn't get weird chewy pieces of chicken. I upgraded my lunch special to get Vegetable Lo Mein instead of rice and it was really good! The sauce had good flavor and they put a good amount of veggies in it. Working in Orange City, there aren't many options for food delivery. Luckily, I stumbled upon this place on Yelp! I ordered lunch for the entire staff today - 23 orders. The lady on the phone was totally patient when she took my order. I mentioned I'd need everyone's orders with their names on them. She took the time to get it right and read back all the orders I placed to be sure we didn't miss one. She promised the food in 45-60 min and it arrived on time! Paying by credit over the phone was easy, and I was able to tip the driver on the credit card when she arrived. Lunch portions are good size. I was unable to finish mine. I ordered the Mongolian beef, which has the little spicy pepper icon, and it was a little spicy. But just a little. It had a good amount of large pieces of beef, that were not fatty or tough to eat. There were a lot of onions (which I love) and it was on top of a bed of pork fried rice. Many places give you white rice and charge extra for brown or fried rice, this place does not! It defaults to pork fried rice but you can ask for white rice. The lunch specials also come with your choice of soup (hot and sour, wonton or egg drop) or an eggroll. I opted for the eggroll, which lacked salt but was otherwise ok. Maybe next time I'll get the soup. Lunch items are around $5.95 each, so the total bill for 23 people to have lunch was only $147!!!!! What a deal. The whole team was happy today. My only qualm, although the menu is available online, I was not able to print it for whatever reason. And maybe that's my user issue, but it wasn't too difficult for others to log on to a computer to view the menu to choose their lunch order. read more

Ordered through doordash, I was so hungry I didn't get a chance to take pictures.. Food was too good I kept forgetting to as well lol! Everything was hot and fresh. I had ordered the fried dumplings, shrimp fried rice, egg rolls, sweet and sour chicken, and some wonton soup. Everything was just perfect. The shrimp was nice and tender, The sweet and sour chicken was nice and crispy, and the sweet and sour sauce was just perfect. The dumplings are forever my favorite, especially from this location... This is the only location that nails the dumplings sauce and I'm glad to have reunited with this location. Extremely upset. My mom placed an order for 3 chow mein noodles and 3 egg rolls this evening & we received the egg rolls, but instead of chow mein we were given chop suey. Two completely different things!! Originally I thought this was going to be a great new Chinese restaurant we would switch to since they offered delivery. Wow am I wrong. I immediately called back about 15min ago to inquire as to why we were given chop suey and was told that's what I ordered (steamed onion and cabbage). No. I even did further research just to know FOR SURE that I was not mistaken. I am not. Chow mein contains majority noodles. Chop suey contains strictly steamed or stir fried veggies. I spoke to two women over the phone and both just talked in circles. My mother has an onion intolerance as well, making this even worse because she cannot even eat any of the meal. Wish I would of read these review before ever ordering from this place. I ordered pork chow mien. I got pork chop souy and and rice. I decided to go ahead and eat it. Very little pork, the watery sauce that is part of the dish taste like dirt. About the only thing that was halfway decent as the white rice. I do not know what the mix up at this place is about chop souy and chow mien. I mean you are a Chinese restaurant should you not know what Chinese dishes are? I will never ever return. read more

And that... is usually how the Chinese food experience goes for me. But my boyfriend likes it, and I like my boyfriend, so you know where I'm going to end up eating sometimes. Well good news! In fact, I did not EVEN let a woman going off in this place stop me from ordering lunch. . .between the loudness, rude comments and exaggerated head rolls, I simply interrupted. . . "Umm, all that's nice, but I really need to order some lunch. . ." Yes--the food is THAT good, that when someone decides to show their ass (so much so that another patron was calling the cops), you stay and order lunch. The vegetables are crisp and vibrant, everything is seasoned well, and the price is unbeatable. Fast, tasty, cheap - my three favorite words involving food. This New York style Chinese place isn't easy on the eyes, but I either pick up or get it delivered so who cares, right? My favorite part about this place is how willing they are to substitute things for me - since I don't eat most meat I can order bourbon tofu, or General Tso tofu, or sesame tofu, or... you get the picture. Even though there is a bit of a language barrier they always get it right and always sub those things for me! If you're a vegetarian, don't hesitate to ask, they will work with you. I used to order from here when I worked in Orange City. They deliver, and it was wonderful because I don't have a car. I always ordered lo mein and french fries, because usually when I want chinese food, i want some junk food too. They're generally really willing to substitute things too. The food is just as the other Chinese places in the area. But the service here is terrible. If you plan to order make sure you pick up and you will be fine. If you order delivery prepare yourself. They currently have 2 drivers. If the guy comes out... he's awesome. I just ordered food today for delivery that was delivered by their female driver. She came to my door in a panic saying that my neighbor disrespected her. My neither asked if she needed directions since she looked lost. From there somehow she got offended and that's when she showed at my door frantic and shaking. All I wanted was my food but it turned into a huge argument and she called her husband to come help..... EXCUSE ME?!! This was supposed to be a simple delivery and she took it way further than necessary and it wasn't even my fault her issue was with my neighbor. A few weeks ago I went to China Star for the first time. I had the Crab Rangoon and it was pretty good. I especially liked the freshness. I'm pretty sure they were cooked immediately after placing phone order. Today, I decided to try the LoMein. I asked for the House LoMein, but with only beef and shrimp, No other meats. Well, we'll, well to my surprise I received 2 pieces of beef and 2 shrimp, no exaggeration. The noodles were cold and dry. I'm very disappointed, as the small size was over $8. Had it tasted good, would have been well worth it. I won't say I will never go back, BUT I am confident Crab Rangoon will be the only item ordered. I ordered shrimp egg foo young .... delishhh! yep I couldn't believe it either because I thought Chinese Togo it's like all other ones. It was fluffy and not over cooked the gravy was good as well. I also ordered Mongolian beef. The flavor was good but there was lots of onions and green onions no other veggies with textures. Over all I do like this Chinese Togo place and will keep ordering different items but the egg foo young is very tasty read more
