I ordered online and then picked up at the drive thru window. This is a typical good neighborhood Chinese food takeout place. Food was still crazy hot (temperature) even after driving home. Service was good at the window. Sesame chicken - 5, Sweet and sour shrimp - 4, Salt and pepper shrimp - 3.5. The chicken had a really good crisp/crunch to it. Food is great. But please be careful ordering from here, the people on the phone will almost always tell you you're under the "delivery minimum" !!!! Every time i ordered i had to add more and more and more on because i was always "under." I asked the lady on the phone , (last time it was a man who told me a different delivery minimum price), why does it keep changing. She gave me no answer and stuttered around, then said "oh you're new total is (it was two dollars added) because my delivery RANGE price changed even tho they didn't charge me that amount the last three times i've ordered, and when i asked her that, she didnt answer so i told her to just cancel it. I was on my way home when out of the corner of my eye the China Bowl sign caught my attention. Seeing as Panda Express was my only other Asian food option in this area- PASS- I went ahead and pulled in to see what they had to offer. It didn't look like much on the outside but when I walked through the doors I was amazed to see how large and roomy this place was. I was quickly greeted by a heavily accented asian man at the order counter. I told him I needed a few minutes to look over the menu since I had never been in and he told me to just let him know when I was ready. There are quite a few items listed on the menu and there were several pictures on the walls of menu items that were helpful in my decision making. I finally decided to go with an order of fried dumplings, a small (pint) size of the hot and sour soup and the general tso's combo meal. As the man took my order I was curious as to what ethnicity he was, being part asian myself, and how long the store had been open. The gentleman told me that they had been open for 3 yrs and that they were from Beijing China. As I waited for my food I snapped some pics of the restaurant. This place offers a lunch buffet Mon through Fri from 11am-2:30 at a very reasonable price. They have a lot of tables and chairs and could easily accommodate a small lunch crowd during that time. The bathrooms were very clean and there were a few nice wall pictures hanging up around the restaurant. My food was ready so I took my to go bag, thanked him and left. Leaving the parking lot I saw that there is a drive thru window on the corner that is also available if you don't want to go in. Ok, so I get home and take everything out to assess my meal. The first thing I noticed and liked was that they double bagged my food. I hate getting just the plastic bag from other places. My food always seems to shift and leak out everywhere. Not a problem here since they had placed a brown paper bag inside the plastic bag that seemed to secure the contents inside. I also noticed that they had placed a small piece of cardboard underneath my bowl of soup to keep it from sliding around the bag as well. My hot and sour soup wasn't great. It had a lot of items in it which was a plus, but it seemed bland to me. The fried dumplings I ordered (I got 2 extra in my order of 8) were good and stayed crisp from there to my house and came with a decent dipping sauce. The combo meal I ordered was a huge portion of fried rice, general tao's chicken and an egg roll. The meal was ok. It was saucy, which I like and had asked them to put extra sauce in there so I could mix it with my rice, but I was looking for it to have a bit of a kick or spice to it but it didn't. It wasn't bad but it wasn't out of this world good either. The egg roll was good and had lots of flavor. All in all, it was a decent meal. One thing I have to remember when I go to different Asian restaurants is that, depending on where the owners/cooks are originally from, their cooking style will be reflected in their food and it may be different from what I think it should be. Taking that into consideration I still think the offerings here were good. If I went back I would order something different and ask them to put a little more spice/heat in my meal. Maybe it was just that dish. Anyways, this is STILL better than Panda Express up the street, and if I don't have time to get out to a different Asian restaurant then they will get my business on this side of town. read more

We were leaving Tulsa and needed a place that would be quick. The food was fine, but it is set up for drive in pickup. There are three small tables that will seat two people each for customers wanting to eat there. The tables are in a hallway going toward the restroom. My wife enjoyed her food. So did our granddaughter and her friend. Mine was a bit bland, especially since the menu said it was a hot and spicy dish. The signage on the entry door said a buffet was available. There is no buffet. The food is fresh and reasonably priced. I probably won't be back because it for drive in and pick up service. I very seldom pick up food to go. read more

So my craving for nearby Chinese takeout does not subside. I've been here twice in the past 2 weeks. The last time, the food was beyond great. And the portions, oh the portions. They were the biggest I've ever received at this restaurant. And the guy at the counter gave me extra sauce both visits at no charge. They used to ask for an extra dollar for a cup if brown sauce, like the one they use in the beef & broccoli. The only thing that I'd change is his attitude. I don't know his name, but he needs to learn some patience and stop rushing his customers. It could be his personality, but it gets annoying quickly. Give me and my family a minute to decide what we're going to spend our money on. Sheesh! Also, don't scoff when we ask a question about the menu. My mother is in town from California, and she didn't appreciate the condescending attitude from this guy. I don't blame her. When this place first opened it was pretty good food for the price. In the years following it got worse and worse. I took a chance going in today hoping (since I haven't been in a while) that it has improved a bit, well it has not. The "Buffet" if that is what they call it, was pretty much empty and what food was there looked dried up, so I got the house lo me in. The cashier was not rude as with so many others, but he was not friendly either. I could not find a table that wasn't sticky or looked dirty. It didn't take long for them to cook my meal, but he just said "house lo mein!" placed it next to the cash register and turned right around. This was the worst lo mein I have ever eaten. The lunch buffet is extremely affordable. Kids up to 10 years old are only $2.50! The restaurant was super clean and well lit. I like this place and worried when a competitive Chinese restaurant opened a half a mile away. They have good food, the egg drop soup is great and the proprietor is unfailingly nice.
