Same, cold silence when she brought menus and silverware, then left without taking drink orders. My spouse and I exchanged puzzled looks. Two young teens in corner booth playing loud video games. The young girl approached for our drinks, the owner was yelling. The girl returned with drinks, then wandered back to corner without taking our order. More yelling, and she hurried back. We wondered if we should leave. Owner brought order five minutes later, hot but marginal in flavor. We ordered dinner specials for $10.59. Moo Goo Gai Pan pale and unimaginative in clear sauce. General Tso's chicken acceptable, mildly spicy with red pepper flakes. Broccoli fresh and green, yellow rice with artificial-red pork pieces. Frozen egg rolls generous in size, with small bowl of orange sweet and sour sauce. More yelling, the young boy jumped up to take another order. When our check arrived, we were overcharged and informed the girl about the error. She reluctantly left to adjust it, and more yelling followed. The appetizers are really my favorite thing. The fried shrimp, the crab, Rangoon's, and the pot sticker thingies. All are really delicious. I usually order sesame chicken as my entree but rarely eat more than 2-3 bites because I fill up on the apps. I have to admit, every single time I eat there, I end up with a stomach ache within two hours afterwards. Every. Single. Time. And it's not just here, it's the same thing at China One in Catoosa. I just wonder if it isn't MSG that triggers it. In any case, the food tastes good, but I don't eat it anymore because I don't like feeling sick afterwards. I am so glad this place opened up!!! I live in Tulsa but meet my parents in Claremore on occasion for dinner. The selection of places to eat in Claremore is dismal but when we found this diamond in the rough my family agreed this is our new place to get a bite. The service is great but the food is a LOT better. It reminds me very much of the Chinese cuisine I got when I lived in southern California. Only thing I can really say negative is the lack of lighting in the parking lot. It doesn't bother me so much as it does my wife. We tried this place out for the first time on be advice of family. The wait was very friendly and greeted us upon arrival. We placed our order and received our food in a timely manner. I ordered the Chicken Lo Mein combo plate that comes with "yellow rice", and egg roll and duck sauce. The duck sauce is served cold, which seemed odd to me to have hot food and really cold sauce. I was not crazy about the yellow rice or the egg roll. Both the rice and egg roll did not seem very fresh and had a staleness about them, but the lo mein...the lo mein was awesome! It was packed with flavor and plenty of sauce and chicken. It was the star of the combo plate for sure. If I had it to do over again, I would have just ordered that. I only eaten here a few time and my favorite dish is spicy shrimp in garlic sauce. The first few time that i have eaten there the spicy in garlic sauce has all sorts of vegetables in it such as broccoli, water chestnuts, snow peas, bamboo, carrots, celery 9 to 10 jumbo shrimps, and other veggies. It look super appetizing but I order the same dish today and all that there was in there were 7 or eight cocktails shrimps and a whole lot of chopped sweet onions, 5 or six peas not pea pods, 7 or eight pea size carrot cubes. Most everyone is getting to go boxes so they must give ample portions. Either that or styrofoam has become a valuable black market commodity. This is not a buffet. Finally! I am a little tired of all the buffets! Very pleasant atmosphere. The waitress, Erica, was friendly and quite helpful. One of our party has a food allergy and she made sure our order was safe. The egg drop soup, while a little salty, was chock full of egg and very tasty. The sesame chicken was exactly as described and yummy. I asked for yellow rice instead of pork fried rice and it was good. The portions are quite ample- I got the lunch special and it came with soup, rice and the entree. Good start for this new restaurant. This restaurant is a pleasant surprise. The crab Rangoon is great and the dumplings were better. Not the best service, we were a large group. Lady who took order wrote it down wrong, had extra plate. We obviously did not order it it was just a duplicate order, she insisted we take it and would not let it go. Someone in our party finally said, "are you going to guilt us into buying a mistake?" she got pissy and left. The water refills smelled so strong like chlorine that it was undrinkable. This place is one of my wife's favorite places to eat. She loves the crab rangoon's. They have several great dishes. I like the triple delight. I also recommend getting the lemon sauce along with or instead of the sweet and sour sauce. The take out is very quick. Food selection for vegetarians is limited to very few items. Had the Bean Curd with mixed vegetables and two spring rolls. The dish it self came out nice and done well, nothing over cooked, however the taste was sort of average. Very nicely refurbished building inside and out. However upon being seated the flies that came to join me at my supper table did not make me happy I had to wave my napkin and wolf down nearly all of my main course quickly before the got to it. But the got to my spring rolls. I asked them if they could take care of the flies they all shrugged and smiled and apologized and then tried to discreetly swat at the flies behind my booth. They then upon giving me my receipt said that they could not take the Spring rolls off my tab because the flies had touched it but instead sent me home with an extra eggroll they said this was because they had no manager on site at the moment.
