The lady at the register was extremely cruel and rude. I made an online order and walked to the front of the entrance. When I got there, there was a disabled lady waiting at the curbside in her car with her card out. She asked me to tell the lady inside to come out and get the card. When I got inside, I told the lady at the register and she assumed that the disabled lady's order was mine and told me the price of her order. I said that wasn't my order and she said, "what you want" in an incredibly rude tone. I told her that I'm here for the online order I made. After I paid for the order, I went outside and the disabled lady was still there and the cashier wasn't even in the process of helping her out. The food was also quite plain tasting. I don't expect much from a corner Chinese takeout spot but this takes the cake for worst anywhere! The food is fine. The problem is they can't seem to listen. They confirmed on the phone both my orders, & I only got 1 order when I picked up. This is the second time this has happened here after double checking both times when asking them. The first time the guy lied and said "yea" when I asked if they included an order and then they didn't include it. Luckily I speak a little bit of Mandarin to tell the employee I was supposed to get two. She then had the nerve to give me the wrong sauce after I asked for duck sauce. Don't go here. For the past couple weeks I've been going to this Chinese restaurant to order my food for takeout. At first they were giving me good quality and delicious food. But today was a totally different story and today's outcome make a total difference on how I feel about this restaurant. I am sad to say that this place did not live up to how they were all the other times I've eaten here. I ordered a small chicken and broccoli for myself today and knowing how a lot of Chinese restaurants in the area skip out on the meat that they provide, I asked for $2 extra meat. All other restaurants that I go to and get extra me and my mail always give a great quality of meat with the extra amount that you pay oh, I figured that this restaurant would do the same thing as well. I get home 2 enjoy my meal like how I did all the other times before with this restaurant, I poured my meal onto a plate and I notice wow, the day forget to give me extra meat? I called back to the restaurant inform them of my order, and they assure me that they gave me $2 extra meat in my order. I advised them that there is no way that they gave me $2 extra meat and if they did then they must be really skimpy on their meat Distributing. The person on the phone relay with a attitude, "Don't like it? You can bring it back and we can show you how we do our regular chicken and broccoli order." I told the employee, "no I'm not returning back and I will not be coming back to ever order a meal again from your restaurant." After I got off the phone with the employee, I went to eat the food, and it turns out the chicken and the broccoli was cold. If they just cooked it for me and I immediately went home to eat my food, it should be nearly piping hot, but I had to place the food and my microwave for about 1 minute so it can get heated up. This had been a very big disappointment for me. Now if y'all think I am totally wrong about my assessment, take a look at the picture I took and you be the judge if they really skip me out on the extra me I ordered. read more

This is my favorite Chinese take out in Camden. I've been eating here for the past 3 years and there has always been the same great level of service. I generally rate Chinese take out by their rice, and China Bowl does rice the right way. General Tso's is my go to meal, but everything I've gotten here is great. This place 110% has that hole In the wall appearance... and I hope they never change it, cause it might change their delicious food. I enjoy any food that I have gotten from China Bowl, I've been visiting the location since about 1997, because it's next to the dentist office I used to visit and would go there for a quick meal (Lunch, Dinner or snacks) I finally moved to Northgate II in 1995 became frustrated with a different Chinese food place closer and returned to walking half mile to China Bowl and didn't return back to other location for 5 years. read more

Got takeout from here tonight and was pretty impressed. Despite having the outward appearance of a complete hole in the wall, I was pleasantly surprised by this place's quality. I got a scallion pancake, which was a little doughier than I personally like, but every single place does it a little bit differently. The sauce it always comes with was decent. I also got a large sesame chicken, which I really enjoyed. It had a firm outside, nothing soggy about it at all. The meat was good quality, and very, well, sesame-y. This is one of the only places downtown that stays open late, so I'm sure I'll be back to try other things on the menu. read more

Never bad food, but not always the best tasting food either. You are always safe with the General Tso's, kung pao chicken and they have delicious sauteed broccoli. Also, basically anything in their garlic sauce is legit. read more

This is a gem for Rutgers. The food tastes good. I have ordered from here many times and the flavor is consistent and has not disappointed me yet. Price is Cheap and affordable. Everything is made to order and homemade, even the dumplings. The quality is surprisingly good and the portions surprisingly large. I only take a star off because it does not deliver and is cash only. However it is one of the few places that stays open late. read more
