Our usual Chinese place, ordered from them numerous times, no issues. We got 2 orders of General Cho Chicken and rice. Comes with some broccoli in it. The broccoli was clearly spoiled. We called to let them know, and to find a resolution. They said don't worry about it, they'll comp our next order. 1. It's wild to assume we would still be customers after receiving spoiled food. 2. That is not an appropriate response or resolution given the issue. I reiterated the issue and requested a refund. Had to drive all the way back because they couldn't find the transaction. Bad food mistake. Unacceptable Customer Service, and Response. From a 5 star, to a 0 if I could. And specifically because of the response we received. read more

Excellent. So glad we took a chance and ordered from here last weekend. We haven't ordered Chinese food in so long because we just didn't have a place we liked. The food here was so fresh, made to order and just very good. Rice was piping hot and not dried out, like you get at most places. I know we'll be back. So far so good. We ordered on a whim and well, good decision. Since moving to the area this is our first try at Chinese Take Out. We ordered pork fried rice, General's Chicken and Boneless ribs. Nothing was overly greasy And still tasty. It's a few steps above you typical Chinese takeout all across the board. $25 for 3 combos. But the best part is the chicken wings and rice $5. I've been to China multiple times and the food was incredible. Honestly the experience of tasting true Chinese quinine was absolutely mind blowing. When I came back to America searching for something to try and compare the food too I always was let down and disappointed because it wasn't the same thing. As soon as I came across No 1 Chinese in Barrington New Jersey my searching had reached its end. I had found what I was looking for. When I ate the food it honestly took me back to main land China. Ordered their General Tso's Chicken and it was mediocre had the same generic taste other chinese restaurants do better. However their one redeeming quality was the Crab Randgoon which was delicious. Will come back just for them. read more

Overall a good meal. The only reason for 3 stars are because I have had much better Chinese take out other places. This will fill you up and satisfy your cravings but don't expect anything over the top. We had the dumplings,ribs , crab ragooon and pizza roll. Ribs were probly the best choice. read more

The lady who answers the phone is rather brusque and matter of fact (not even a thank you most of the time), but the delivery guy is nice, the food is mostly fresh, and delivery is pretty quick. Chicken wings are excellent, roast pork is not bad. Wonton soup is standard suburban chinese, big thick gummy wontons, very little shredded pork. Not many options for Chinese delivery in my town, and most are pretty lousy, but overall no. 1 is pretty good. read more
