Wonderful buffet experience. You don't hear that from me, and likely anyone else very often, but in…read morethis case, it is the truth! I am not sure how I have never found this place before now, but I can tell you that everyone else has. This place was packed! Parking was a nightmare. I cut off a cop and stole his parking spot. Yea! Stick it to the man, Adam! Giant community tables full of buffet goers. I wasn't sure if I could find a seat. I was impressed by the size at that point and then realized on the way out there was a whole second floor as well. It is freaking huge! When you pay, there is a little old lady that douses your hands with sprays of sanitizer. I did not care to partake, she did not care, and insisted. We aren't buddies. You can see the stank face she gave me. I don't care though, hater gonna hate. The buffet is rich with country foods. I was in love from the jump. Fast moving buffet food is my jam. They had all the things I like and tons of other things you folks like. I made two trips, I barely got most of the second down so I didn't get to enjoy dessert. That's ok, I like protein way better than sweet things. Thank you Allah for statin drugs! I had all the fried things! Fried chicken livers are some of my faves, especially if there is mashed potatoes and gravy involved. The fried chicken itself was great. Hell it was all good. I see why it's so damn busy. I think it was like $16 maybe. That's with a drink and endless food and dessert. My server was such a sweet lady and the bus staff were great too. They made sure you didn't want for anything and never had a dirty plate in front of you. I will be back as soon as possible. Planning a visit now! '26 - 102

On average, I'll go home with more money than I brought maybe about one in every eight visits. Some of the mechanical machines need maintenance on the buttons. Played three today that the "max bet" button didn't work on. Cocktail waitresses Jory Jane and Jasmine have been very nice and are a valuable asset to the casino. As for food, Stats has decent food and is reasonably priced, but some of the staff has been very rude at times, up to the point where we've started leaving to go to the nearby restaurants for food. (Not Edison or Garrison though. They've been great) Phillip M's is impressive. Great food and fine dining. Prime steak. It's pricey, but good, if you want a memorable meal or for a special occasion. Plan to wait awhile. Took more than 45 minutes to get our food last week & our bill was well over $100 for two people. The rooms I've stayed in at Silverstar were outdated but acceptable, but are waaay overpriced on Friday or Saturday nights, which eliminates me staying there on those nights. The rooms need to be comparable with the nearby hotels, in price and in quality. I always end up staying at the hotels down the road instead after going to their convention center concerts. We've decided to start going to other casinos for awhile instead of this one, primarily due to the lack of wins. It's No fun if you almost always go home the loser. What's a game if you never win? We've been coming around twice a month for over 5 years, but now we're going to be going elsewhere, where hopefully the winnings are better. My friend has only had ONE relatively "small" hand pay in over five years, and we've been coming here every other weekend. Not too impressive.

The restaurant was slightly dim. I liked that. I don't like very bright establishments. The buffet was off near a wall. There was light music playing. The atmosphere was relaxed and nice. The restaurant was extremely clean. I ordered the Chicken Biryani (forgive me if I've spelled it wrong. I can never remember the spelling) and samosas. The chicken biryani was $17.99 and the samosas were $6.99. There was a considerable wait. I was there for a while. Its probably better to call in or place your order online first. The Chicken Biryani was different than what I'm use to. There was quite a bit of thin brown liquid at the bottom of the rice and I did not like that at all. The plate tipped and the liquid all poured out into the bag. The biryani was good. I had it with medium spice. However I did feel the sauce could have been thicker. I'm use to having it with either a thick sauce almost like a stew that comes with it as well as bigger pieces of meat. However this Biryani was different in that the meat was almost like a minced meat. There were tiny pieces of finely chopped chicken. Not those larger pieces I'm accustomed to that's served at Spice Avenue off of I55 in Jackson. So the juice at the bottom of the bowl and the tiny minced pieces of chicken I wish were different. I also wish the dish would have had a lot more of a robust flavor. When you mix in all that liquid it kills some of the spices. I've had biryani dishes that were bursting with flavor. This dish was good. But something was lacking. I'm sure it was the meat and the lack of a robust stewed like sauce with the meat. The meat in their biryani tasted like it was boiled in a flavorful water. Not stewed in a thick hearty robust sauce. The samosas were ok. I'm use to them having more flavor as well. I mean they were good in a way but the taste was a little off (I'm not sure where the tartness or the very slight vinegar taste comes from) and they also used a seasoning I'm not familiar with. So I ate one and had no interest in eating the other two. Also, the samosas could have used a bit more spice. Last, the young girl serving at the front did fine. She was attentive. I tipped her $3.00 cash. But she had a very peculiar way about her. As I was swiping my card I looked up suddenly and I caught her eyes. She was staring intensely at me and the look wasn't pleasant. It was a dirty look. Almost as if she was put off by me taking so long to swipe my card. You know the look when someone mean mugs you. When our eyes met she suddenly smiled awkwardly and the smile did not appear genuine at all. However I overlooked her and took a seat to wait on my meal. When one of the door dash workers came in I also caught that nasty glimpse from her staring at the door dash driver. I was watching her intensely at this point and I was watching her eyes. The eyes are the gateway to the soul. Or, as I would like to think, the heart. If you're a hostile, mean, nasty person.. it's hard to hide this in the eyes. I don't know this young lady. Again she was attentive. But the look she gave me (before quickly and awkwardly smiling at me when I caught it) and the door dasher tells me in my gut she's probably not a very kind person. Or she's condescending at the least. Overall I give the food and service a three.
