Why: 1) Food quality is outstanding, and above any other we've had. Out of everything we ordered (four separate meals), the Hungarian beef was our collective favorite. 2) Portion size vs cost. We couldn't believe the amount of food for the price. 3) The service was outstanding. If you are looking for a 'date night' atmosphere, this is probably not the place. It is inside a grocery store that you walk through to get in. We actually liked that factor and found it 'authenticating'. Finally, one thing we witnessed that we will return to participate in is the Karaoke rooms (3). We saw a large group of all ages eating and singing. How fun?!?!

Most of the pieces of shrimp I received are so hard and stale from being cooked some time ago that I cannot pierce them with a metal fork. The "plain" rice is not sticky rice like one would expect, but plain, hard white rice. My first experience here was about a year ago and I got the sesame chicken - when I called the restaurant to inform them that my chicken was still pink in the middle, the lady argued with me that it could not be true. I ordered honey wings with shrimp fried rice, honey wings with chicken fried rice and then fried wings with combination fried rice with onions only. That was at 10:00 pm. I asked how long and was told 15 min. Well if you know Chan's Garden, you know it's definitely going to take longer than 15 min. So I intentionally wait until 11:00 pm to leave my home. I stay about 10 min away. 11:05 comes and I get a call. I answer the phone and they identify themselves. So I said oh hey, I'm headed there now, should be there in a couple of minutes. The person on the phone said do you know how long? I said I'm a few min away. He said I need to know what's a few min. He said we. Lose at 11:30 which is in 10 min. I say no it's longer than 10 min but I'm almost there. I get there at 11:15 and my food wasn't ready. So I make a fuss about being called only for the food not to be ready. Don't call me wondering if I'm coming and not have my food ready. I was had to wait an additional 15 min for the none of the wings to be fresh. I was truly annoyed.
