First went to China Buffet when they opened many, many years ago. Did not like it so didn't go back until recently. I have been missing out! Great food, super nice staff, quick service. Typically order take out and have not been disappointed again. Have made this a regular monthly lunch rotation. Like it so much, may start going every two weeks or even weekly! Genera Tso is a regular go to. Nice sauce flavor, not too thick, plenty to mix in the rice. Lo Mein noodles are also a go-to. Have never been over cooked. Lots of veggies and fried pork in them. Pepper beef is also a typical order. Good ratio of beef to peppers unlike some places that serve way too much veg to meat. Again, really good sauce on it. Want to try the buffet soon. read more

Come here all the time for take out- definitely one of the best places in the area. The lady that works here is super sweet and hardworking. Food is always good too- definitely recommend the crab Rangoon, General Tso's, and the lo mein. For desert, we always get the fried sugar doughnuts (goes well with the extra sweet and sour sauce that comes with the crab Rangoon). For a small town Chinese restaurant, definitely worth a visit! read more

This is a great Chinese place to order takeout. The takeout is wonderful, cheap, and you get a lot of food for the price. The few people that work here are very polite as well, one of the nicest waitresses I've ever had at a restaurant! However, on a negative note, the buffet isn't too great. Some food sits too long and isn't fresh. Sometimes things aren't refilled for 15 minutes after running out. And for some reason I don't like the general Tso's chicken that is served here. And a lot of times the restaurant is very, very quiet. They don't always play music here. And tables don't get cleaned as quickly as they should. Overall, I like the food here but only when it is fresh, like when you order takeout. Overall it's pretty good food and great wait staff, I just wouldn't recommend the buffet. read more

For a low-budget Chinese joint, this place is pretty banging. I know I can be a bit of a joker but I'm 100 percent serious about this next part: don't let those rumors about this place having health violations freak you out. They aren't true! At all!!! I eat here all the time and I love it. To be fair I'm known for having something of an iron gut despite my lanky frame and effeminate "serious business" demeanor. When you run a small comic book empire and have to put up with the smell of anime kids all day you learn to toughen up. Anyway, this place is clean, fast, and cheap. Some of these idiots just don't know how to work a buffet. Here's what to get: Pork sticks, especially when fresh. Probably the best deal on the menu. Crab rangoon. Crispy. Delicious. Pepper beef or Japanese beef. Both tasty and fairly lean. Egg rolls. Drench them in duck sauce, wash it all down with a pint of Dr. Pepper. You just had a great lunch on seven bucks, you're welcome. Here's what to avoid: Fried chicken wings. Greasy. Fried rice. Greasy. Wonton soup. Just a bit too watery. Anything from the dessert bar. Seriously, I can buy my own orange slices, and tiramisu is an Italian dish. Did you know that? it's true, Google it. You can't trust the Chinese to do Italian right, even if the Italians did steal the whole noodle idea. You know what you can trust them for though? Well-mannered, fit women. A real rarity these days. Seriously, the lady who works at the counter here is adorable and very polite. I always suspect the people at these places fake an accent just to avoid dealing with complaints, but I have never had a complaint here and if I did I bet her accent would be legit. Overall, yeah, the "other" Chinese place in town is made-to-order, and more expensive, and there's less eye candy. It's good if you have time and want something special. The sesame chicken is worth shanking a hobo over. But China Buffet is fast, the people are cool, and if you aren't some dippy crybaby who makes bad choices and then whines about them on Yelp then you won't have a problem with the menu. read more

We get take out for lunch from China Buffet a decent amount. I've yet to eat from the buffet so I can't speak for the quality of the the sit down experience in the restaurant, but our food is always very fresh. My favorite lunch thus far is the Roast Pork with Chinese Vegetable, although I will admit I felt a little disappointed as I was under the impression I would be treated to some rare vegetable us Americans have never seen. It seems as though the veggies in China are the same, with the difference being that we drench ours in ranch and the put soy sauce on theirs. When ordering don't even consider a side of rice that isn't fried; their fried rice is the best around. I don't know what they do differently than the seventy five Chinese joints in the tri-county area, but I hope to God they keep it up. Their egg rolls are also well above par. As soon as I step in the dining room, I'm instantly met with my food. Either I've got great timing each visit and they're on their way out to the hostess desk to keep my food ready for my arrival, or they have some magic way of knowing the second I step foot into the place. China Buffet's generic name doesn't do it justice, and to say I recommend giving it a shot would be an understatement. read more

Not much to like. Had the wonton soup and it was disgusting, which is really hard for a generic Chinese place like this to get wrong, since most fast food wonton is all the same. It was like the meat inside went bad or something. Almost had a moldy rotten taste to it. After that, I couldn't stomach to eat the rest is the food. Only went here cause Taste of China is closed on Saturdays. read more

Everything here was awesome! The food was hot and it all tasted really good. Especially the fried scallops and zucchini. The general tso's chicken was probably one of the best I have had. The only reason I did not give it 5 stars was because they did not have soup. Other than that it was awesome! read more
