The staff were extremely nice but the food was mediocre. Some of the items offered were just bland or tasted off. The general tso chicken was watery and not spicy at all. Seemed more like an orange chicken. I've had better seasoned pork dumplings elsewhere. Providing the dumpling sauce on the buffet was a nice touch though. The egg roll was boring too. One star was added for those who have the patience to save your order for the second day. Back to small rice portions, every Chinese takeout I have ever had in this lifetime has included the familiar small cardboard rice container *packed* with rice. In this case, both fried and white just barely reached the top of their respective containers. No big deal, right? It's just a few cents worth of rice, right? No. Repeat business is about exceeding expectations based on what is customary in your market segment, not just barely meeting them. A few cents of rice is trivial, but it did cost them a mulligan on the General Tso's and a possible future visit to try something else.

As soon as I tasted it, I suspected it wasn't real crab meat. There is a distinct smell with imitation crab and it's often used because it's cheaper. This crab also was rubbery and had thin lines in it. I asked the server if they used imitation crab and she said no, but I have a hard time believing that. The smell was so disagreeable that it ruined the rest of the meal, which was cold. This will probably be the last time I come here because there are too many other Asian and Thai restaurants arhat serve better food.
