The food is always excellent and freshly made and the service is above the normal. I always have a wonderful experience eating here and they also provide their own delivery service apart from the 3rd party stuff most restaurants rely on so that's already a very positive attribute. The restaurant itself is always clean and effectively staffed so as not to have much delay in any orders whether it's for personal meals, dinner or lunch or family sized affairs for either main meals. I highly suggest getting large sizes and sharing everything as the food is all expertly prepared and a treat to the taste buds. I've thought about eating here several times. I see people coming and going all the time. Foot traffic (like a full parking lot) can be a decent indicator of how good a restaurant is. I once got in line, but I left when the couple in front of me decided they had no idea what to order and asked way to many question to each other about the options. It was close to closing time and I was nearing hangry. Today, I was not that lucky. I walked in to an empty counter, although several people waited for to-go orders. I went basic - General Tso's. It should be at least a little spicy. It should have a good mouth feel. It should have chicken that's flavorful and able to shine through the spices. It should maybe have a couple of pieces of broccoli or carrots, or even both. The sauce should be moist, not gelatinous. It can be accompanied by either white or fried rice. Here's where it went wrong. The rice. It was, I think, trying to appear fried. It was not. It was a brownish (?) and soft, while also able to clump. I might get a clump or be unable to keep it on a fork. It paired well with the chicken as neither had any flavor. Had I been blindfolded, I would have never guessed the food by smell or taste. At less than $10, I was not expecting P.F. Chang's, but thought maybe Panda Express would show up. I got neither. All in all, the dish was ironic. Thought I would give this one a go. Do not recommend. Sadly, food was terrible. Ordered Crab Rangoon, Orange Chicken, and Shrimp Lo Mein. I picked up one of the crab Rangoon & not only was it stale/old, but grease running down my hand after picking it up, as if they were old & thrown back in the fryer to reheat in oil. If I could give a negative 50 stars for my treatment today I would My son and I visited the restaurant for lunch for the first n last time one of us are very obese and as soon as we entered the staff began to laugh . We were seated I have no idea why the two young men were continuing to laugh but I'm not clueless but we went up and got one plate and one plate only . We don't even finish that .They stood around our table the entire time we were there I didn't appreciate being house entertainment.We paid to be there to not to be laughed. We ordered China Chef through DoorDash last night and it was not a great experience. The order was a lot of food, as it was for 6 people and my dinner was missing. No big deal, mistakes happen. My hubs Mongolian Beef (which he orders often) had almost no beef in it but he said he would eat it anyway so again, no big deal. We called China Chef to let them know we were missing a dinner and they were upset we called them. They said we had to contact DoorDash so we apologized and got a refund through DoorDash. Then we called China Chef so we could re-order my dinner directly but they blocked our number! We know because when we called a few times and it went to a busy signal, but when other family members called in between our calls, it went through fine! I have to say, that was a very childish and jerky move on China Chef's part. We used to love them but we will no longer give them our business. This was horrible my husband pick me up wonton soup and Mongolian beef. The soup had tasteless broth and the wontons looked like they were made out lasagna noodles I couldn't eat any of it one bite was enough the Mongolian beef was a plate full of onions. People are very nice, but this is honestly the worst tasting Chinese I've ever had. I ordered General Tso's, it had no vegetables whatsoever, and was not spicy at all. We order 2 orders of honey chicken, a order of general taos chic and en and a beef and broccoli. 3 orders were large and supposed to come with soup and egg rolls. Didn't get any soup or egg rolls. The General taos chicken was spicy other than that it had no taste. Not a bit sweet. The honey chicken was terrible as well. I literally wouldn't feed it to my dog. I threw it away. My ONLY complaint is every time I come in the TV is set on Fox News, so Im forced to listen to Tucker Carlson spew whatever hateful nonsense he has on his mind that day. Im not suggesting they keep it on CNN either, since most people in Greeneville are Republicans and find that network as offensive as the rest of us find Fox. Definitely some of the best Chinese food available in the area. The dumplings (both steamed and fried) are amazing. We love that they are willing to deliver if your order is large enough. The food is always pretty good, people are friendly too! I love that we can go here when in a hurry and have a quick dinner. However, the owners have their small son in the restaurant with them at all times. I know this is probably very convenient for them, I applaud them for their love of their child and need to have him around. I have seen the small boy do some very unhygienic things and it bothers me. He talks and bothers a lot of the customers. There is potty chairs for him in the public rest room,. I have seen him come and go out of the bathroom several times alone without supervision, this means that he may not be washing his hands? Just saying this does not make me feel very healthy at all, others in my group like the place and are not bothered. I get grossed out!
