I ordered Combo "C": 1/2 Chow Mein, 1/2 Fried Rice, Orange Chicken, Broccoli Beef and String Bean Chicken. While I was waiting, I was noticing my order was being put together, the to-go portions were very generous in my personal opinion. When I took my order home for my family, I could tell that the food was prepared fresh. I have had Chinese Food from other places, but the Chinese Food from China Cook was really good in my personal experience. The noodles were made fresh and had flavor in them; no need to add soy sauce in my opinion. The chicken from the String Bean Chicken was great in that it was not greasy. The Fried Rice, Chow Mein and the Broccoli Beef were my favorite; I could tell that it was freshly prepared and it was not leftovers from the day before. The combination of the flavors and the freshness, made it very enjoyable. The Broccoli Beef was another dish I wanted to try and glad I did. The broccoli had a crunch to them, not like some places where they serve it soggy. The Orange Chicken the way it was prepared was different, but I liked the flavor. My overall experience was great and for the value for what they charge, I think it is reasonable in my opinion. The two ladies working today were very friendly and efficient. The restaurant is clean and has plenty of seating. The fried rice lacks a bit of flavor but I personally like less salty foods so it worked out, their Teriyaki sauce could be thicker. I bought a Teriyaki bowl with steamed rice priced at $6.50, combo "A" which consists of rice and/or Chow Mein with 1 item priced at $7.19 and combo "B" which consists of rice and/or Chow Mein with 2 items priced at $8.58. I inquired about the fountain drinks (instead of the canned coke) and they said all refills are 1 dollar per each refill. I passed. I then ask if they give a fortune cookie with my two plates of 24 dollar food and they told me the fortune cookies are $.15 apiece. They then charged me to use my credit card (which is realize is standard). Lmao. I'm surprised they didn't charge for napkins, chopsticks or even the air that I was breathing inside the business. The food was awful! To grab a quick bite before our son's baseball game, I ordered a combo plate for my wife and myself to share. Unfortunately, after 3 hours, my wife started experiencing weakness, nausea, and eventually vomiting. Meanwhile, I suffered from stomach pain and persistent diarrhea.
