As far as "fast food" Chinese food this is the best. Lots of food, good prices and everything tastes great

Was craving the typical chow mein, fried rice, and orange chicken and decided to give a different local spot a try and saw that this place had decently-good reviews. Unfortunately, I was let down by the reviews. I literally got 7 pieces of orange chicken plus 5 mini pieces...yes, I counted. That's just terrible quantity for the price. And people wonder why we all still go to Panda Express because despite it being a big chain and pricey, they give a hell lot more than 7 pieces of orange chicken. And since I'm going on a rant, their orange chicken was bland. Their chow mein and fried rice were average, nothing good or nothing bad. I did add on Mongolian beef and it came out sizzling hot with a good amount of meat. Literally the only OKAY thing about this place. If you're wanting chow mein and orange chicken, don't come here. read more

Super friendly. Food was excellent! Prices are amazing. We ordered the family pack and fed eight with leftovers. Highly recommended.

This is our local go to Chinese take out place. The portions are very generous and the food is very tasty. We've ordered everything in the display and we were not disappointed. The service is fast and friendly. There's always a line of people, so the turn around on the food is always fresh. I haven't tried the drinks yet but they look delicious. Located in the shopping center next to the In N Out. There's plenty of parking. The service is so fast that I have forgotten to check in because I want to get home and eat. They also offer catering trays for large parties and we have ordered those too. Please support this small business and I hope you enjoy the food as much as we do. Thanks for your time. Went here on 07/09/26 @ 1:30PM. I ordered the 3 entree meal. Half noodles and rice, orange chicken, bbq pork and walnut shrimp. The entire meal was no good at all. We ended throwing it out. The pork had tons of fat and tasted funny. The price for the three entree combo was posted for around $11.50. I also bought $2.00 of almond cookies. My total came out to $16 something. I asked for an itemized receipt and the guy acted dumb and didn't give me one. I haven't been here in a long time because the food wasn't good the last couple of times. Located in the small shopping center next to Tommy's right off the 60 FWY off the Mountain exit. I usually love Chinese Fast food places, but not this time. Portions are generous and prices are good, but the food was tasteless, especially the Chow Mein and Fried Rice. The Orange Chicken was heavily coated and had that "wood chip" texture. I also tried their BBQ Pork, but was not a fan of it either as it was hard to chew and the taste was odd. I did like that you can purchase a 'Milk or Thai Tea' for $2.99 with a combo. Service was ok. My childhood friend was hosting a beach lunch party for 3 families. She asked me to pick up a party tray of chicken and veggie egg rolls that she pre-ordered and paid for beforehand. I said sure. I came here with my Mom and her dear friends. [[HIGHLIGHT]]It's a very clean and organized express Chinese food restaurant.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] Staff was okay. Pick-up time was set at 11:00 AM. It was shortly after 11:00 AM and the egg rolls were not ready yet unfortunately. We ended up waiting 20+ minutes before the egg rolls were done. Egg rolls were good size and had good flavor, but they weren't crunchy. They had gotten soft. The foil on top of the tray had holes in them. I thought that should have given them some air to breath so I didn't think to remove the foil. Unfortunately, the egg rolls did not hold it's crunchiness. Lesson learned... remove the foil despite of holes or not. read more

First time here yet I've been here 1000 times. Typical Chinese fast food. Eight or so steam pans full of entrees, fried noodles and fried rice. Pick a one, two or three item combo for $8-10. I always walk in looking for the fresh vegetables, steamed rice and lean meat that is not soaking in a fatty sauce. I walk out with a 5 lb. styrofoam container full of calories, cholesterol, grease, fat and salt. I actually avoided In n Out next door wanting to eat healthier. Sometimes I hate myself. Insanely large portions here which may explain the high ratings. Even healthier scoops than I have seen at other Chinese joints. Nothing else special here. Came back for a visit to fulfill a craving. I ordered spicy orange chicken, chow mein and bbq pork. I noticed the food tasted different and seemed to have a lot more oil than before. The chow mein was missing the veggies and eggs, and the flavor was bland. The orange chicken was mostly breading which was disappointing... The rest of my family felt the same way that the food tasted different. On top of that we noticed the prices have increased too on the menu. So I jumped to Yelp and learned LA Express is under a new ownership.. Everything made sense after that point. My family has been coming here for over 10 years and are sad the previous owners transferred elsewhere. We might look for another Chinese food spot after our experience here. read more

But I went specifically for BBQ pork, and it was about 60% fat. I had to throw away more than half of the pork. Never had so much fatty BBQ pork, it was a turn off. There's really no reason to make this review long. Been coming here for over a year now, been to this place about 7 times now. It's quality Chinese food. I highly recommend that you try their Chicken Teriyaki! Man it's perfectly cooked, succulent, and flavorful! My only complaint is that their garlic chili sauce lacks garlic and chili . Recently they told me that they only offer one size of soup, or a bowl size. This is strange since i've gotten a big container of soup from them in the past, and i'm unsure if there was a miscommunication or not. The atmosphere feels like an atypical Chinese restaurant, but the quality of their food might be half a step higher than other Chinese restaurants. I really appreciated that when I asked for Lo-Mein, they knew to put meat in there for me (huge kudos, many places wouldn't take the time to differentiate or pretend that I was ignorant and didn't know better. Ty!) Yes I've eaten at better Chinese restaurants, but if you're a local then there is no reason for you to be travelling far for quality American Chinese Food. Happy dining, good eats! read more

They have changed ownership the and the food has become very disappointing, like all other Chinese spots for the most part. Orange chicken and tangerine chicken have more breading than meat, very chewy, spit out worthy. My potstickers were under cooked and cold. Teriyaki sauce is way too sweet no ginger in it. Their wontons used to be the best in town and now there's barely any cream cheese in them. Not coming back here. The old owner John has moved location to Dragon Express off of Philadelphia in Central. I highly recommend going there. read more
