Met for an early dinner (4:30pm) on a Saturday. We ordered a bunch of dishes along with a sushi roll. My adult son forgot his ID and they wouldn't serve him, so don't forget yours! Everything was fresh and delicious. Fried rice arrived a bit later than the rest but was delicious. Service was efficient and as evening approached, the dining room was completely filled. Placed and order for take out at lunch. Went with veg udon noodles and some how and sour soup. The website was very choppy when trying to order on the phone. Once I placed it, I was told by Beyond Menu that if I ordered through them I would have a change to win 5k. Looks like they may be a company based out of the UK. Order was ready when I arrived, hot and fresh. There is one side that is for dining/tables and the other side is a lounge, a bar with a lot of locals hanging around. I didn't check to see if they had Keno screens. They also look like they sponsor a lot of local sports so I'd say this must be a popular place amongst the locals. The udon was good, however a little bland, had to add to things of soy sauce. I loved that they use portobello mushrooms. The hot and sour was ok good, just a little too oily and could have been a little more sour, but both items I ate completely. The prices were affordable, but since it's a little out of my way I don't think I would go back but definitely recommend it if you are in the area. Plenty of parking. read more

I stopped by China Cuisine in North Reading for lunch takeout. However, due to covid, they had a sign on the door and menus and advised to call in takeout orders ahead of time and enter the restaurant when the food is ready. I called in a lunch order for the LS34 Thai Noodles with Chicken ($9.25 plus tax) with pork fried rice and 2 crab rangoons. My order was ready in 20 minutes as quoted. The Thai Noodles (Pad Thai) was comprised of soft flat noodles, egg, soft chicken pieces, scallions, and lots of crushed peanuts. The standard pork fried rice (tan color) had egg, onions, and red roast pork pieces. The fried rangoons were filled with a dense sweet cheese filling, duck sauce and hot mustard provided. The lunch sized portion of food tasted pretty good. read more

I have never written a review until today. We ordered $170 worth of chinese food and sushi from this place for pick up. My fiance showed up and was immediately met with this question "you didnt leave a tip online?" He said "no, why would I leave a tip?" the woman said "you need to leave a tip for the sushi people and the people that bagged your food" Im sorry.. WHAT?? The absolute NERVE of her telling us we HAVE to leave a tip for both, on an order we drove to pick up! She then proceeded to tell him he needed to leave it in cash. There are plenty of other restaurants in the area that do not strong arm their customers into leaving a tip when they pick up take out.. so we will never be ordering from there again. read more

Great place to sit and enjoy a meal. The menu is very extensive as it comprises both Chinese and Japanese dishes. I love how my order was plated and the portions were generous. We hadn't gone out for a while, and this was one of the few restaurants with super consistent quality. It is still amazing, even the old-school specials and the Thai and Japanese items. The iced tea was like what I had down in Maryland...amazing. You can smell the peeling of the peapods and the stuffing of pot-stickers if you go early. I know some distressed formerly famous places that have gone a bit icky here, but these folks really make honest-to-goodness, clean yumminess. My Kung-Pao varies, the different quantities, but always best ingredients, amazing sea-flavored little shrimp that are perfectly timed. Wife's 3 Delights was incredible: you can tast the mushrooms, beef, veggies separately, and the peapods are so clean and fresh. Anyway, this is the best served in a simple unassuming building. read more

Honestly the best Chinese food in the area! We drive from North Andover to here every Friday night for our tradition and they never disappoint. 10 out of 10 recommend the hot and sour soup in the spring rolls. The peeling raviolis are stuffed to the max and out of this world. Love the red Asian ribs. The staff is super friendly and accommodating a few times we have had a mishap but they go above and beyond to make it right. Just ordered takeout and got the Sesame Chicken and it was inedible, it was like someone dump the whole salt shaker in it. Seriously, check out the size of the Hamachi Kama (collar) it's bigger than my hands! Surprising because we thought we were here for a quick Chinese food place. This is easily the best Chinese food I've ever had. I drive 40 minutes to get food here. The crispy beef & spicy crab rangoon or Jimmy's crab Rangoon are AMAZING every single time. What a super hidden must eat restaurant!! From the service, to the price, to the serving size to the MOST important, the FLAVOR! If you go here for lunch you literally get double your money value!!! I brought a vegetarian coworker who was weary of going which he is with most new places when looking to find something eatable. He ordered the tofu and eggplant with garlic sauce and was amazed. He literally could not stop talking about the amount of food and the delicious taste. He was able to eat lunch and take home the rest for two more meals! We ordered that, a side of rice and a lunch meal combo and it was all UNDER $20!!! There are two other sushi places in the area that I love, so I thought it only fair and appropriate Yelp-behavior to try them all. I wish I hadn't. Besides the outdated, grim decor, they offered a poor version of sushi. The maki rolls were sloppily rolled in the smallest portions I've ever seen. I thought maki rolls came in one standard size! Plus, my typical spicy tuna roll order comes with a tuna and spicy mixture inside the roll. Instead, these rolls were the exact same version of their tuna roll with some spicy sauce squirted on top. For over $1.00 more per roll. And talk about expensive! Some of the best spicy tuna Maki rolls I have ever had were only $5.50. These shabby impersonators were nearly $7 each! I don't even want to talk about the joke that the sweet and sour chicken dish was. They do get credit for the yummy pad thai. However, we got the veggie version, and there were about 6 peapods and that was it for veggies. Sorry China Cuisine, I will not be dining there again. Unless of course you have Karaoke.... read more
