When I went to pick up my order I only waited 2 minutes. The service was a young myteenager behind the register who announced the price, handed me the bag. There wasn't a greeting to the restaurant or a thank you when I left. The egg rolls were small, without taste. The shrimp egg foo young had a few shrimp. I used to love this place years ago so when I came back into town it was a must stop for me. Man, was I shocked ... in a bad way. I can't believe how down hill this place has gone! I ordered a sweet & sour chicken (pretty basic plate) and I couldn't even get the first bite down. The rice was extremely gummy like it had been sitting in a pot all day. The chicken had no flavor and honestly the lady working the counter didn't say a word to me. It was awkward to be honest. Not consistent with their hours and poor service. Food is just mediocre Asian food, a generic menu, and items. The building and kitchen are aged and in much need of deep cleaning. There's no competition in the area so it's accepted. read more

Ordered 2 dinners to go and was told ten minutes. Was probably closer to 6! Family run, very nice people. When we sat down to eat about 20 min later, dinner was still piping hot and so delicious. I've had better. Chicken wings are very small. Last time I ordered from there I got the General Tso's chicken and white rice. There was no sauce at all which made the food very dry and hard to enjoy. They only added two pieces of broccoli. As I said, I've had better but I guess it's the best you can get in such a small town. read more

The middle aged women running the cash register was rude from the time I called to the time I received my food. I'm a paying customer and would like more respect then that. Total joke will never come back. Customers are key, keep us happy and we will return. Simple... could get better service from McDonald's if that tells you anything. Just moved to Benson, and have been craving Chinese food, so was looking for a go-to place. China Eight might just do it. The place looks like a dump from the outside, and it isn't much better inside, but the takeout I ordered was much better than I expected . The Szechuan tofu was spicy and the silken tofu was treated gently so it survived the trip home. The garlic sauce on both the chicken and the broccoli orders was the right heat and had the right slight sweetness. Even the white rice that came with the entrees was perfectly sticky and delicious all by itself, not dried out. Chicken wings were good, not broken into flats and drumettes like I am used to, but nice crunchy coating and well seasoned. The only ding I can offer was the boneless spareribs. They were a little tough, and almost too salty, but even then, quite good. Looking forward to trying more of what they have to offer. read more

Little town... Clean good food... Clean establishment. Stopped here for dinner while driving on I95 N. Ample parking. Small place but very neat and clean. Food was tasty. I ordered the Singapore rice noodles with chicken and a bowl of wonton soup. Both were good, better than run of the mill neighborhood Chinese takeouts read more

My family & I love some Chinese food & we use to have to go to Dunn to eat until China Eight moved to town several years ago. They are in the old Subway building & the place is by no means fancy so that's why I give them 4 stars. On the other hand...you would think there would be a language barrier especially when u call to place an order but they only ask me once for our order (and Lord knows I can't pronounce it right) but I can honestly say they always get our order right!! Which is unbelievable!! McDonald's messes up everytime we order but that's another story! The food is absolutely the best Chinese around!! Most of the time it's ready in 10 mins & it's always hot when we get it back home & it is delicious! Best Chinese in Johnston or Harnett County!! I highly recommend eating there if you are in town!! Now, I am hungry...lol ;) oh & most importantly as of last week their grade was 100!! read more

We ordered from there last night. Lo Mein and beef with garlic sauce. The food was ready when we got there. Under 15minutes. The food was very good, no leftovers. Will definitely eat there again. read more
