Don't know why there are so many bad reviews. Great portions and great prices, food is bomb too. Cost aside, I still think it's better than Panda Express.

    Dinner size Honey Walnut Shrimp

The honey walnut shrimp is not an option for any of the combos (A, B etc.) which is fine, most restaurants offer it but they don't, fine BUT I have problem with the pricing of this "dinner" size Honey Walnut shrimp which is the only size they offer. It's $20+ tax and they make it to order, when the employee described it they said the container would be so full that the rice needs to be placed in a separate container... I paid $20 for a plate of broccoli and a handful of shrimp...

This place is better than Panda Express. The service is awesome and they are super friendly, The lunch special is a great deal, rice, noodles, 2 items, egg roll, and a can drink. They do have a small sitting area but we just get it to go. We love their chow mein noodles, very flavorful.

    Salt Pepper Shrimp (38oz)

Salt and Pepper Shrimp was fried with shells, tails, and legs still on making them inedible for $23!!

I ordered from this place through a delivery service and while their ratings seemed decent my experience was disappointing. At first I was impressed by the generous portion sizes because they definitely do not skimp on food. However the quality did not match the quantity. The food was bland and soggy and under the orange and teriyaki chicken there was a hidden layer of extra rice making it look like there was more chicken than there actually was. On top of that the food was not hot at all. The hot and sour soup was a huge portion but it tasted off like it was just thrown together without much care. Overall I would not order from here again.

The lunch special here is amazing and for the price, it's totally worth it. I came here yesterday to grab lunch when my wife was getting her face treatment nearby. I saw this place before on Google Map and looked at it so I knew it was an option to get food from here if I was hungry. So when I was walking around the plaza this place is in, I saw that they had a lunch special and I thought it was a deal. The lunch special is the Combo B where you get 2 entree, 2 side, egg rolls and a can soda. So when I walked inside, they were already kind of busy. When it was my turn, I asked for the chow Mein, kung Pao chicken and orange chicken for my combo. They were out of orange chicken so they asked if I mind waiting which I didnt and it didn't take long for them to bring out the new batch. I ate my food inside of this place, they have limited seating here so be aware. They give you like 2 chili sauce packets, 2 soy sauce packets, 1 sweet and sour sauce and 2 fortune cookies. If you want more sauces then they will charge you for it. The portion of food they give here is great, bigger than other popular places. I like the Chow Mein and Kung Pao chicken, the orange chicken is a different taste to me but it's not that bad. They were getting good business when I was here and everyone else was taking advantage of their lunch special too.

I literally go across town to come here, how good the food is. I've been coming here since I was maybe 6 so this place feels really nostalgic. Through everything they've always remained kind and have big portion sizes which is good because one plate feeds me and my big back boyfriend. 14$ lunch special is an Arizona, a huge plate, and an egg roll. Can't beat that price anywhere. Thank you for making my childhood and now adulthood

Yummy Chinese for the first time and had to tell everyone else's fish, check out this yummy fish ( tab sally) but upside no need soy sauce with is also salty and full sodium, grand Bebe loved the noddles. It's in a shopping center with lots parking , it's small out worth the wait, very nice staff and food looks like it's sold and fresh , fair price

The food was so bad. Even the rice was horrible! I will never go there again and can't stress enough how bad it was.

This little place serves awesome Chinese food. There is so much mediocre Chinese food out there…read morethese days that I rarely even try new Chinese restaurants anymore. But this place is absolutely worth a visit--and definitely worth coming back to. We arrived around 5:00 p.m., and there weren't many customers yet. That turned out to be a bonus because our food came out incredibly fast. Everything was fresh, flavorful, and delicious. I also appreciated that they didn't drown everything in sauce. Some restaurants use so much sauce that the meal ends up feeling like soup. Here, the balance was just right, letting the ingredients shine through. We ordered the mushroom and baby bok choy, vegetable chow fun, ginger fish fillet, and spicy tofu with eggplant. Every dish was excellent, and the portions were generous enough that we had plenty left over for another meal the next day. "FireArt" is a fitting name. We were very happy with both the food and the friendly service. Parking is easy, with plenty of spaces available in the shopping center lot. We'll definitely be back.

China Wok had decent reviews and it was convenient. Just WOW! It was a weeknight and wasn't sure what to expect for a crowded restaurant or wait time. Arrived and there were a couple of tables with customers and waited for a person to greet us. It took a minute, but no big deal. Turns out this little gem of a restaurant is run by the sweetest lady and a chef. The lady does everything in the front of the house, server, busser and cashier, and probably everything else outside of the kitchen. For ambience it is classic old school, Chinese restaurant in California. Ha ha it's clean, tidy, and organized. Food was absolutely the freshest and flavorful I can remember. Started off with egg rolls and they give you some little wonton chips with a delicious dipping sauce. We had Chow Mein and the Moo-Sho Pork. The plates came with all the sides with delicious rice. The flavor and the vegetables was over the top for taste. The Moo-Sho was incredible and the plum sauce and pancakes were delicious IYKYK An added bonus is there hot tea, which had excellent flavor Overall, the food was excellent, and the service was great! So if you go, this review is for an above average classic Chinese American restaurant that takes pride and satisfying their customers with food and service!

*3.0 stars - Good food, weird timing*…read more We stopped by Slam Rice in Santa Clarita around 3:30 PM for a late lunch. As soon as we walked in they let us know they could only seat us if we finished within 30 minutes because they close for a break from 4-5 PM. Around 3:45 PM we saw them turn away another customer for the same reason. The food itself was solid: 1. *Shrimp noodles* - I ordered shrimp but got chicken instead. The server didn't catch the mistake, but honestly the chicken noodles were still really tasty and flavorful. 2. *Broccoli with tofu* - My spouse's plate. The tofu and broccoli were cooked well, but the sauce was way too salty for us. 3. *Teriyaki chicken over rice* - My daughter's order and this was the standout. Delicious, well-seasoned, she finished the whole plate. I get that mistakes happen, and I think the rushed timing + 4-5 PM closure probably contributed. It just felt a little strange to be asked to rush through our meal, and even weirder to close right in the middle of the afternoon/lunch crowd. If you go, plan around their 4-5 PM break. But if you hit the teriyaki chicken, you won't be disappointed. We'd come back, just not right before their break.

That's exactly how I felt after taking my boys out for Chinese food at this spot. I nearly didn't write this review because it truly feels like one of those hidden gems you're lucky to discover. From the first bite, it was clear the kitchen takes pride in what they serve. The food carried a noticeable freshness and authentic depth of flavor that immediately stood out. I ordered three staples to get a good sense of the menu: chow fun, fried rice, and walnut shrimp. Each dish delivered. The chow fun had perfectly cooked noodles with that signature wok flavor, savory, balanced, and satisfying. The fried rice was light yet flavorful, with every grain distinct rather than heavy or greasy. And the walnut shrimp was the highlight: crispy shrimp coated in a creamy sauce that hit the right balance of sweet and savory without overwhelming the dish. What impressed me most was the consistency and quality across all three plates. Nothing felt rushed or generic, everything tasted carefully prepared and full of character. In fact, the experience was good enough that I've already returned since that first visit. The menu clearly has more to offer, and I'm looking forward to exploring different dishes each time I come back. Places like this are rare, excellent food, authentic flavor, and the kind of quality that keeps you coming back.

Then, my eyes moved on to a breakdown of the bill. It included sales tax, of course, AND a service fee of around 7% -- both reflected as a single amount of money on a single line, entitled "Taxes $ Fees"! Maybe the "fees" were for the food cartons and plastic bag? Upon further examination today, this is how they describe the so-called fees: "Support Local Fee" (a flat 99¢) "Surcharges" (a strange percentage) Question -- do customers dining in also see these charges when the bill arrives? Maybe it's time to simply raise menu prices...
