I got a lunch special, which is a Combo B (chow mein and two entrees), an egg roll and a can of soda. I moved here about 3 years ago. I've been here 3xs since. All 3 experiences have been the same. Food looks like it's been sitting there for a long time. It's not hot and selection is lacking. Today, they were out of teriyaki chicken. So I had to order orange chicken. They had to literally scrape whatever was left of the orange chicken to complete my combo. My second entree was broccoli beef. It was dry And the broccoli was very soggy. Noodles are lacking flavor. Rice was ok. Canned soda only No fountain drinks. Bummer. The young man who served my food was very nice and the young lady who rang me up was also very nice. The inside looks clean and the air conditioning was really fresh. Santa Clarita is definitely lacking some good Chinese takeout. I was craving Chinese food today. I'm sad my experience wasn't better. I ordered from this place through a delivery service and while their ratings seemed decent my experience was disappointing. At first I was impressed by the generous portion sizes because they definitely do not skimp on food. However the quality did not match the quantity. The food was bland and soggy and under the orange and teriyaki chicken there was a hidden layer of extra rice making it look like there was more chicken than there actually was. On top of that the food was not hot at all. The hot and sour soup was a huge portion but it tasted off like it was just thrown together without much care. The lunch special here is amazing and for the price, it's totally worth it. I came here yesterday to grab lunch when my wife was getting her face treatment nearby. I saw this place before on Google Map and looked at it so I knew it was an option to get food from here if I was hungry. So when I was walking around the plaza this place is in, I saw that they had a lunch special and I thought it was a deal. The lunch special is the Combo B where you get 2 entree, 2 side, egg rolls and a can soda. So when I walked inside, they were already kind of busy. When it was my turn, I asked for the chow Mein, kung Pao chicken and orange chicken for my combo. They were out of orange chicken so they asked if I mind waiting which I didnt and it didn't take long for them to bring out the new batch. I ate my food inside of this place, they have limited seating here so be aware. They give you like 2 chili sauce packets, 2 soy sauce packets, 1 sweet and sour sauce and 2 fortune cookies. If you want more sauces then they will charge you for it. The portion of food they give here is great, bigger than other popular places. I like the Chow Mein and Kung Pao chicken, the orange chicken is a different taste to me but it's not that bad. I literally go across town to come here, how good the food is. I've been coming here since I was maybe 6 so this place feels really nostalgic. Through everything they've always remained kind and have big portion sizes which is good because one plate feeds me and my big back boyfriend. 14$ lunch special is an Arizona, a huge plate, and an egg roll. My wife likes to go thrifting at the local store here all the time and each time we go, I always end up walking around the center finding a place just to eat something. I have passed this place up at least a dozen times thinking its not going to be good (hole in the wall) It looks like a mom and pop shop and as far as I can see most of the time it has waiting customers always there. So last week, I gave it a shot. The A Frame sign said there was a lunch special for something like $11.65, you get choice of 2 items, spring roll, rice or noodles. I opted for Teriyaki Chicken and Kung Po Chicken with half rice and half noodles, and a can of soda! OK, that can of soda sold me, and that is why I walked in. Be honest it was choas in there. The Asian lady was at the register seemed all flustered, kid helping scoop up the dishes for customers was calm and observant to everything, and the guy in back bringing out food to reload the trays well he seemed like he just wanted to hide (maybe from the Asian lady). And before you say anything about how rude I am about saying that, let me just say that kid reminded me of myself as a kid and the other two were my parents. Without anyone else even knowing I felt a little bit homesick watching the chaos. Despite what's going on, got my order with a bag of crispy noodles (for those who know, these are just like the ones we use to make) Went out and tailgated on my truck because there were no tables to sit inside. The food was packed for the take out container, this could be easily 2 meals which makes this a very affordable place to go. The Teriyaki Chicken was not too bad and the Kung Po had just enough kick for me to enjoy. Maybe next I will bring my own chili oil to mix with it. The lunch special goes until 4pm. I suggest getting there way before then as it seems to have gotten busier as 4pm approached. I would go there again and pick up another dish to try. First time ordering from this restaurant last night. I ended up with food poisoning from their teriyaki chicken. The toilet was my companion and got no sleep at all. Luckily I was the only one who ate it and not my toddlers. Was so severe I had to go to Urgent care to help with the vomiting and diarrhea. I don't know if they gave me old food that was just sitting or what but never will I buy from here again. I'll admit it, I'm not the first one to say "let's get some good Chinese food for dinner!" I say "hey Panda has a drive thru now!" and my tummy is perfectly content at the end of the night. I'm usually laughed at when I say this and I've accepted it (my Panda Express fortune cookie foretold it). This place is good though! It's like Panda but better! And that's a high compliment coming from me (though they do have a cute panda mascot too). They've got lots of options in their (much) smaller counter, with the various meals and combo options. Annnnnd it's cheaper than the more well known panda! The fact that it's walking distance from my place helps a lot too. I usually get to go, since I live nearby, but they do have a few tables to sit at if you're feeling like making it a night.
