We normally love this place. Did they change ownership? Went for lunch today ordered 2 kung pao chicken lunch specials which is normally outstanding...2 diet cokes. The diet cokes were flat and the food was beyond gross. I think they used sweet and sour sauce for the kung pao no vegetables. I am a diabetic and cannot eat sweet and sour. The egg flour soup lacked any real flavor. Idk what happened but so disappointed in the major changes that seemed to have occurred. Never again.

The service isn't bad went during lunch. The egg flower soup was good. The kung pao wasn't spicy at all. The fried rice had no flavor at all. I don't know what happened to this place it used to be good.

We tried this restaurant for the first time and thought it was great! Service was great and quick and the variety on the menu was huge. The crispy texture of their Orange Chicken and Crispy Beef was done just right and a perfect combination of sweet and savory/spice. [[HIGHLIGHT]]Very casual atmosphere and perfect for family and friends.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]]

[[HIGHLIGHT]]The Resturant is some what dated it has not changed much since it first opened[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]]. Lunch Specials start under 13 dollars Main dish soup salad and rice. Food comes out quickly. Service is good. The food is just basic

I'm not at all happy to be posting this review, but it must be done... Tonight we ordered some of our usual favorites. We were famished! Sat down to eat and before we even tasted it, the appearance was already off. (I regret not taking pictures.) We start eating and it was unmistakable how different the flavors were. We all agreed that this food was not prepared by the seasoned hands of the chefs we are used to. We've been ordering from Moon Wok since 2001. The restaurant had changed ownership in past years, but thankfully ,the food was consistently delicious! After some discussion, we decided to call and ask what happened. The woman that answered confirmed that the usual cooks were no longer there. This was very sad news to hear. Based on our experience tonight, we will not be ordering from them anymore. Where did those flavor geniuses go???? Moon Wok had a great thing going for so many years!!!! BRING THEM BAAAAACK!!!We are truly saddened. Anyone else have this recent experience there? Sound off and maybe, just maybe, they'll bring our beloved masters of flavors back!!

The food here at Moon Wok was serviceable, okay, with plenty of options for us vegetarians...but nothing really wowed us in terms of flavor or presentation. We had Tofu in Brown Sauce, which was fine, and Fried Rice which also was fine but didn't have a whole lot of flavor to it. It was our first time trying this place. There are lots of basic Chinese food spots in the Santa Clarita Valley. We've tried and enjoyed more some of the others. This one was just okay and wouldn't be our top choice to head back to or order from.

This little place serves awesome Chinese food. There is so much mediocre Chinese food out there…read morethese days that I rarely even try new Chinese restaurants anymore. But this place is absolutely worth a visit--and definitely worth coming back to. We arrived around 5:00 p.m., and there weren't many customers yet. That turned out to be a bonus because our food came out incredibly fast. Everything was fresh, flavorful, and delicious. I also appreciated that they didn't drown everything in sauce. Some restaurants use so much sauce that the meal ends up feeling like soup. Here, the balance was just right, letting the ingredients shine through. We ordered the mushroom and baby bok choy, vegetable chow fun, ginger fish fillet, and spicy tofu with eggplant. Every dish was excellent, and the portions were generous enough that we had plenty left over for another meal the next day. "FireArt" is a fitting name. We were very happy with both the food and the friendly service. Parking is easy, with plenty of spaces available in the shopping center lot. We'll definitely be back.

That's exactly how I felt after taking my boys out for Chinese food at this spot. I nearly didn't write this review because it truly feels like one of those hidden gems you're lucky to discover. From the first bite, it was clear the kitchen takes pride in what they serve. The food carried a noticeable freshness and authentic depth of flavor that immediately stood out. I ordered three staples to get a good sense of the menu: chow fun, fried rice, and walnut shrimp. Each dish delivered. The chow fun had perfectly cooked noodles with that signature wok flavor, savory, balanced, and satisfying. The fried rice was light yet flavorful, with every grain distinct rather than heavy or greasy. And the walnut shrimp was the highlight: crispy shrimp coated in a creamy sauce that hit the right balance of sweet and savory without overwhelming the dish. What impressed me most was the consistency and quality across all three plates. Nothing felt rushed or generic, everything tasted carefully prepared and full of character. In fact, the experience was good enough that I've already returned since that first visit. The menu clearly has more to offer, and I'm looking forward to exploring different dishes each time I come back. Places like this are rare, excellent food, authentic flavor, and the kind of quality that keeps you coming back.

We ordered takeout yesterday. Their online ordering food was good, no problem there…read more The online ordering system asked for a tip, which I did not include, since we were going to pick up the items in person. Then, my eyes moved on to a breakdown of the bill. It included sales tax, of course, AND a service fee of around 7% -- both reflected as a single amount of money on a single line, entitled "Taxes $ Fees"! Maybe the "fees" were for the food cartons and plastic bag? Upon further examination today, this is how they describe the so-called fees: "Support Local Fee" (a flat 99¢) "Surcharges" (a strange percentage) Question -- do customers dining in also see these charges when the bill arrives? Maybe it's time to simply raise menu prices...

Was surprised to find such an authentic spot for Chinese in Oak Park!…read more I came by for a Mother's Day lunch with my family. When we arrived around 1 pm, the restaurant was maybe half full. But clearly it was popular as people were coming in constantly the entire time we were eating. Even though the restaurant is called Yunnan Restaurant, most of the dishes on the menu were more like Sichuan dishes i.e. spicy. All of the food was super solid and portions were ginormous. My recommendation is to order 1 dish per person if you want leftovers, or order one less dish than the # of people if you want to finish most of the food. I don't handle spice very well, so we ordered a mix of spicy and non-spicy dishes. We shared the following: #1 Yunan rice noodles ($16.99) #32 scallion pancake ($8.99) #104 Chong qing fried chicken ($16.99) #107 braised pork belly with buns ($19.99) #109 boiled two items - fish and duck blood ($21.99) Given that the restaurant is called Yunnan Restaurant, we felt like we had to order one of the most popular dishes from that region, the Yunan rice noodles i.e. crossing the bridge noodles. I really enjoyed the silky smooth mixian noodles as well as the flavorful broth. The fried chicken was too spicy for me; I ate one piece and my whole mouth was on fire. Everyone else said it was quite spicy as well, so eat this in moderation unless you can really handle your spice. The 3 pepper signs next to this dish on the menu are no joke! The braised pork belly was delicious, but portions were on the smaller side for this one. Still, I enjoyed making a little bun sandwich with the pork belly and pickled veggies. The boiled fish and duck blood was also super solid. It was just a little spicy, so I was able to manage a couple pieces with the help of rice on the side. Portions were very generous for this dish. We all ate lots of fish and duck blood and still had a ton left to take home. They also have some precooked 涼菜, i.e. cold dishes, on the side you can buy for dine-in or to go. We got 3 of the meats - pork tongue, pork head, and and beef tripe, to go. Paid $16.99 for a huge box of these meats. We thought this was a steal too. Can't wait to try some at home!

We also brought our baby daughter with us. It didn't take long for us to get seated near the sushi chef area. Our waitress was Natalie and she came to get our drinks and appetizers orders first. We just got soda and my wife wanted her spicy garlic edamame. She brought our drink and edamame quick. My wife ordered the Salmon and made it into a dinner meal so it would come with miso soup, salad and brown rice. I got the Mongolian beef and asked for Jasmine rice. Our food took some time to come out, the miso soup and salad came out quick. My wife like the soup but not the salad, I tried it too and they just drenched it with dressing so not good. This was when Natalie went to refill my wife drink and when she came back, it didn't taste like a coke. I tooked multiple attempts to flag her down and she didn't believe me at first that the coke tasted weird. So she didn't even take it and said she'll bring a new one and I also asked for a refill on mine. She came back and said the people in the back is replacing the coke tank since it's emptied. My Mongolian beef was delicious and they were generous with the portion. I loved my dish, my wife salmon also came out but she didn't really like. Natalie came back with just one coke but forgot my refill. The coke she brought was flat so not good. We decided to not even bother anymore. She disappeared again until I flagged her down with another waiter help to asked for the check and boxes. The customer service here was bad and where they sat us, was smokey from the sushi chef area.
