If I want Chinese, I call these guys! Great food and prices --- and the portions always leave me with leftovers! Their lo mein and sesame chicken are two of my go-to's! Also love starting with the spring rolls and wonton soup! Those are my faves but we have had their beef and broccoli, fried rice, and four seasons ---- all stellar! The food was just OK compared to other takeout places nearby, such as The Great Wall in East Lyme. The Pupu platter was very good; beef chow fun was ok (some of the noodles were cold, but the flavor was good); orange chicken was mostly breading and not very good; crab rangoon was just ok. I usually give a place at least two tries, but I don't think we'll be ordering from here again. It was just really meh. read more

Chinese takeout. A cliche that just about everyone indulges in once in a while. In my case, with China Express, it's more than once in a while. The menu is the largest I've seen at a Chinese restaurant. Whatever you're craving, they're probably going to have it. Prices are great for the amount of food you get (pro tip, best deals are the combo plates imo). It's family owned and operated so . They also do sushi and it's good! However, something to note: the times are odd for sushi (basically when "the dude that makes it" is in), so always inquire first if also want sushi. Disappointed. I was looking forward to ordering here but what a mess. They forgot part of my order after taking an hour to deliver. Then it took forever to deliver the forgotten food, which arrived cold. The restaurant then refused to offer any discount or return my tip. Not going back. Not good at all. read more

I was given the wrong order..... I wanted and paid for shrimp fried rice ........I got chicken fried rice and what's worse is I pretty much have to place another order with a discount of two dollars for a mistake that was made on their part. When I was growing up this place used to be a lot more efficient. I understand that things change however I'm not really happy with the outcome of what's happening in this scenario . I should not have to buy another order of it because it's not my fault.They are already over charging due to the pandemic basically it doesn't matter if it's delivered or picked up most items are $.25-$.30 more than they normally would be. I rarely order take outBecause I prefer my own kitchen it's even more rare that I order Chinese food. So they're making money off of me getting the wrong order. read more

Just moved here, tried delivery and had an awesome experience. We got the chicken and broccoli, honey chicken, and cheese rangoons. Everything was really yummy even my picky husband enjoyed his meal. It also estimated an hour but came in a half hour. Will definitely order again! read more

I am really picky about Chinese, and we're still getting used to the area. The craving was unreal, so we gave in - and it was worth. it. We got a huge array of things, even the egg roll was still crisp when it arrived at our door. The wings were great, and the shrimp actually looked great, and not those ones that are roughly the size of a dime when they're cooked. We're definitely going to be ordering again. We've only been in the area for a little over a month and they were the first we got delivery from. Pretty decent delivery Chinese food. Guess that's why we keep calling them. I like their fried rice. Delivery doesn't take forever, and their delivery driver is a nice guy. Had some sushi from them, it was decent. Overall a decent place. This Chinese takeout place was great!! I don't live in the area and was visiting with my family, we all got something that tasted great! Pretty god prices too. I know that Chinese restraints change owners/staff with some regularity so take any review with a grain of salt. Last time I went here about 2 years ago it was awful but just moved back to the area and wanted to try again. This time everything was pretty good. The fried rice is a dark fry which is yummy and all thier meat was real meat and not just some leftover chopped bits of unknown substance...food wasn't to greasy either. And they were super fast with the cooking. Not bad for Chinese fast food! read more

The best Chinese food we've had in a long time. It was all fresh, hot, and very flavorful! Even the egg rolls were fantastically crispy and flavorful! The delivery driver was fast and courteous. The food is good, the price is great, the portions are generous! I wish the location had been a little more customer friendly. When I picked up my order, the restaurant was strange. There are no tables inside, which is fine, but there was a kids bike inside the door, a floor buffer by the counter, and piles of boxes up against the window. If they had delivered to my neighborhood (only 5 minutes away) I wouldn't have seen inside and wouldn't have been so put off, but they made pickup orders an essential part of their business so they should make their interior a little more welcoming. read more

I am a disabled veteran who is not able to go out for Chinese food so I get it delivered. Last night I gave the driver $40 for a $24.14 order ($28 with tip). He only gave me $2 back. The owner called me back to apologize and offer me a meal for compensation. I'm so glad he did because I'm a regular customer because the food is great. read more

I've ordered from here for the last 20 years. Recently under new management. in the last few months I've ordered 4 times. 3 of those times someone in the house ended up puking. Tried resolving this with management earlier but ended up getting the run around from the Manager and Owner. Every single issue was met with a denial and push back on it being my issue. "Ohhh, are you allergic to Chicken?" was one of the items from the owner. I think in the last 40 years I might have noticed a Chicken Allergy. This is the best Chinese food in the area. I had a delivery order of Pork Lo Mein, a combo Pepper Steak that came with the best egg roll I've ever had, and String Beans and Beef. Everything was perfectly cooked and delicious. The food arrived steaming hot and the portions are enough for 3 meals. I would highly recommend this restaurant. read more

This used to be a great Chinese take out place. In the past 2 months we have ordered for delivery 4 times. We have ordered a variety of dishes and they have all fallen short. Less shrimp, too much salt, burned dumplings. We were wondering if there were new owners who decided to go cheap? Whatever the problem is, they need to fix things now. I'm giving them a couple of months before I try them again. One more mediocre dish and we are done for good. Too bad, we used to order from here quite a lot. read more
