I probably wouldn't go back for anything other than the lo mein. I debated whether to give 2 or 3 stars here, since most of the food I got ended up uneaten, but there were some bright spots so I went 3. The restaurant itself is very bare bones, the customer experience is an ordering counter and some chairs to sit in while you wait. The service is very friendly, and they read my order back to me while they typed it in so there was an extra layer of confirmation that I appreciate. The price? About 2/3 of what I have been spending at other local Chinese restaurants. As such, I was really hoping the food would match the reputation for the best in the area I'd heard of. Unfortunately, that's the part that fell flat and that's almost the only part that really matters with a restaurant. Egg rolls? Plump, crispy, not over cooked or oil logged, flavorless. Boneless ribs? Tasted like they had sweet and sour sauce put on them, then cooked, so the sweet charred and the sour remained. Big chunks of juicy meat though. Teriyaki beef? More like beef kabobs, no teriyaki, just grilled meat with some onions and green pepper, so the beef tasted like green pepper. Wonton soup? Not entirely flavorless, but still more of a hunt for that element than it should be. Lots of wontons though. Crab rangoons? Chewy, thick dough, small pocket of filling. On a good note, the filling was more than just cream cheese, had an actual crab note to it. Pork fried rice had that same pork in it that the boneless ribs were, so that ruined the rice. I'll end on the high note. Beef lo mein. Awesome. Lots of noodles, beef, vegetables, balanced flavor, some ginger taste so it wasn't flat. To close, I can't really recommend anything other than that lo mein at this time.

    Chicken and broccoli.

King Wah is hands down the best Chinese food around! We love their boneless spareribs, egg rolls, sweet and sour chicken.

Very disappointed. I ordered 2 dinners, they both tasted terrible. The chicken tasted old. I threw both dinners in the garbage.

Hubby responsibly orders a delicious lunch menu item & I order enough food for THREE people!!! - Steamed roast pork rice rolls - Steamed Golden Palace shrimp dumplings - Steamed pork & shrimp shumai - Deep-fried taro dumpling with pork & dried shrimp - Baked roast pork buns - Stir-fried Chinese broccoli with fresh garlic Hubby loves the #14 combo: shrimp with vegetables, fried rice, golden fingers (chicken tenders) & egg roll. Even for him, it is enough for 2 meals! His favorite item from the dim sum menu is the stir-fried Chinese broccoli with fresh garlic. Everything was outstanding & I would do it again tomorrow. If you are ever in the vicinity of Mohegan Sun, take a 5 minute drive & check out this amazing Chinese restaurant! Dim sum is available daily so give it try. Highly recommend. NOM NOM NOM #YUM

Cuisine: 7 Service: 7…read moreDecor: 6 Value: 6 Overall: 7 I have been coming here for the last 20 years. It has been one of my favorite dim sum restaurants in all of the US. Obviously things change over time, but my recent visit still tells me that most of the food is still very solid, though not quite as great as it once was. What I love about this place is that all the food comes out fresh and hot. Unfortunately, a few of my favorite items have taken a step back. For example, the Sticky Rice Flour Dumpling w/ Pork & Dried Shrimp had way less filling than a few years ago. Still good flavor, but not great any more. Also, what happened to the Pork & Shrimp Stuffed Peppers? All I tasted was soy based ground pork and no shrimp whatsoever. Lastly, the Duck Egg Yolk Custard Bun has gone really downhill. Skip! With that said, I still absolutely love their Pork & Shrimp in Dried Bean Sheet Roll. One of the best I've had anywhere. Chicken Feet in Black Bean Sauce and Fatty Pork Ribs, and Sole Filet in a Fried Thin Rice Wrap are still excellent. There are many other standard items that are done well, but not necessarily better than most places. Every time I come to Mohegan Sun or Foxwoods Casino, this has been a must stop. Though I feel the quality has downgraded a bit, I would still consider this restaurant one of the best places to eat in the area. However, I do hope that they find their old magic touch with some of my favorite dishes.

This is the only place that offers coconut chicken, or shrimp, and it leans very sweet, but if you roll the chicken pieces in pork fried rice then it smoothes it out. I was very impressed with how large the chicken fingers were. I enjoyed the flavor of everything, balanced in the components. I thought the shrimp egg rolls looked great, not greasy, but then they were mostly bland, so the only ding. I have tried their crab rangoons in the past and felt they were no different than sweet cheese wontons, so they're not the solution. Peacock doesn't do delivery, so you'll have to go there. Luckily the people who work there are super friendly every time. This is a total takeout place, also.
