We were told 20 minutes for our order. 50 minutes later we were still waiting along with about ten other people. Another customer told me that it's always like this and the owner doesn't care. Not off to a good start. When I finally got my food, I suggested to them they should be more honest about the time so people could arrive later. No response at all. As for the food, the Hunan beef was good, the hot & sour soup good (but not great). The curry chicken, egg rolls and pot stickers were just ok. We order china express before and it was doable. This time is was terrible. Ordered a large wonton soup, got a small with 2 wontons. Had to add salt got some taste. Entree was not much better. We spilt the soup and ate the egg roll. Also no filling in the crab Rangoon. My last order for sure. read more

This was my favorite place for years. Always fresh always good. I went tonight and I was not just saddened by really disappointed. I may be wrong but it seems some changes have been made. the rice seems completely different finer grain and flavorless. I can only assume they changed to something other brand and or grain. their vegetables was one of my favorite things, now you're lucky if you get a decent amount. My family has been going to China Express since 2012 before they had their renovation and they never fail to come through with superb service and excellent food! Despite the few negative reviews, I decided to give this place a shot. Not sure what the problem was for the naysayers, a line from a song comes to mind, "you can't please everyone." I have nothing but good things to say about this place. From the minute I placed the call to order, where I was quickly greeted by a very helpful voice who not only patiently explained the difference between Chow Mein and Lo Mein, but also made sure I ordered the correct quantities and meal options, and further made sure we knew exactly where to find their store and how long it would be before our meals were ready; to walking into a clean store with smiling staff and finally getting our meals home to find fresh, properly prepared ingredients. I have zero complaints. I wish all restaurant experiences were this positive. We will definitely be back! read more

Best Chinese food I've found so far in Palm Coast. Came here from all the other great reviews and see why they were reviewed high. It's the same menu as other places. Staff have always been friendly when we come. Place is always clean. We aren't far from here but it's more traffic than places close to us and yet we'll come here every time. Only down fall for those who stay to dine-in is that they use can sodas. Pricey on those. Drinks are where most places make their money. read more

I have just moved to Palm Coast from NJ, and was looking for a good place to get Chinese. Have ordered from here twice so far, each time trying some of my favorites. First order was fried dumplings, which were deep fried, not pan fried. Very disappointed. The egg drop soup, moo goo gai pan and chicken chow mein were plentiful and excellent. Egg roll was small and so-so. Next time steamed dumplings (much better than fried), pepper steak, chicken lo mein (both excellent), and chicken egg foo young, which both sauce and egg foo young had a fishy taste. I have been coming to china express even before they rebuilt the plaza. They have the best egg rolls in town. I love their soups. Normally I order vegetable egg foo young which is excellent. Sometimes I order roast pork and veggies, which is my go to when I'm really hungry. The lady that works the front remembers everyone and also remembers your voice on the phone. Please be sure to call your order in these days as they have been really busy. The beef sticks are good and I've also had the fried wings. I really have not had a bad meal from here. If you like your food spicy just tell them. They will make it how you like. read more
