What's better then hiking?…read more Beautiful, well kept trails. Not too crowded but enough people on them you never feel isolated or completely alone. A lot of bikers! So please be mindful when you're walking, especially with your dog. We saw a few close calls that could have been avoiding by being aware. During summer there are a bunch of snakes so keep an eye out for that. The trails range from easier to hard, so you have plenty of options. Haven't been there since the fires but the hills still look beautiful from home.

I've rented from him successfully before, and he was aware of our plans. With several days of rain in the forecast, the only dry day lined up perfectly for our ride. The night before pickup, Craig canceled the reservation, claiming he didn't want to rent the bikes because the trails would be "too muddy." Mountain bikes are literally designed to handle all conditions--that's the entire point of them. He was obviously aware of the weather forecast well in advance but waited until the last possible moment to back out, giving me zero time to find bikes elsewhere. I will never rent from Craig again and strongly advise others to avoid his service.

I explained what my wife was looking for and some of the bikes we had considered in the past. Danny was incredible from start to finish. His communication, professionalism, and overall knowledge were outstanding. He took the time to give us a detailed overview of the brand, the store, and our options, and made the entire experience feel easy and enjoyable. The store itself is beautiful, well-stocked, and had everything we needed. They had the bike my wife wanted, although it still needed to be assembled, and she also picked up some accessories and clothing for her new bike. Danny even offered to have the bike delivered, but I decided to purchase a Kuat rack, which they also carried and helped build out for me. By Monday afternoon, everything was ready, and my wife could not have been happier with her choice. On pickup day, I also met Paul, who assisted Danny, and he was a pleasure to work with as well. We were able to get in a light 10-mile ride, and they truly made my wife's weekend. I can't recommend Trek Westlake Village enough. Challenger Park in Simi Valley, CA is located off first street. The park provides recreational…read moreareas and access to various trails that take you into the mountains and away from the traffic of first street. The trails provide some good elevation to get your heart pumping. In spring time, the trails are a great place to enjoy the beauty of the flowers abound. Plus the trails tend to be well groomed and wide in most of areas to provide ultimate safety during snake season. For trails routes, if unfamiliar with the area, its best to use Alltrails. The park does provide ample wildlife- so be aware. Within the park you can find deer, mountain lions, coyotes, snales and more. Plus a wide range of birds can be seen. Given the trails tend to be empty and remote in some areas- best to hike with somebody. Also, good if you have cell reception in case of an emergency. The park provides ample parking lot spaces. Note the parking lot does not open till sunrise. As an alternative you can park across the street in the subdivision-- Just be mindful of the neighbors and the traffic across first street.

I…read morewas feeling depressed about not seeing or speaking to my daughter, my cars engine is broken and will cost me 5000, and not being able to go to class this week because of my situation! I told myself I will take the bus and come to see Mother Nature. While I was on my fast in January I booked marked these stair here so god spoke to me today and so I went. I needed to see the green, get fresh air and just get back into my own zone because of the funk I've been in. Being here help me think of good times I've been to stairs, or on a trails I've been on. People I've gone on hikes with or even loved ones for their first time. The views got me out of my own mind and really gave me clarity of where I should be and where I'm heading. God reveals all and have me see things which I appreciate the good and the bad. And it really shows me I need to be where I need to be. I am willing to take more adventures soon with the bus and just humbling myself as a post I posted on social media about me remaining with an open heart to see what life has to offer now.
