This is mainly a takeout place. They have a few tables you can eat at, but there isn't any table service. I had the Kung pow chicken combination plate for lunch. The sauce seemed to lack a lot of flavor and texture and the chicken seemed to be over fried and the eggroll had a weird taste. Based on the menu picturesit looks like they use the same in each of their dishes, celery, green peppers, onions, occasional mushroom, and zucchini. We stopped by for lunch on a Friday. Not crowded. Staff was friendly and helpful. I placed the order to go and then ran over to Home Depot. I got Hunan Chicken (spicy) because I wanted some vegetables. It came with fried rice and a spring roll for the lunch special. Hubby had (his usual) General Tso's chicken. He gets in everywhere. Food tasted like the typical strip mall Chinese food. This made me sad because the restaurant seemed to be run by people who must know what great Chinese food tastes like. They could do better. It's the only opened restaurant at Christmas around the area, which mattered to me as life saving as I was starving. Honestly the taste was okay, specially the noodles and hot & sour soup, which were all I needed in a very cold winter day. I was at Walmart picking up a few things and decided to order takeout at China Fuji. I got an order of Pepper Steak and Crab Rangoon. The Pepper Steak was mediocre. A lot of peppers vs steak, the flavor was ok. Not the best or worst I've had. The Crab Rangoon on the other hand was tasty and a pretty big portion size too. Overall it's a very good restaurant. It's a Chinese-Japanese cuisine restaurant, but I still have to taste the Japanese part of it. There are basically 4 vegetarian entrées I can order at a Chinese restaurant: 1. Ma Po Tofu or Bean Curd Schezwan/Homemade style. 2. Vegetable Fried Rice. 3. Vegetable Lo-Mein. 4. Vegetable Chow-Mein. I've tried the first 3 of above 4 and all taste just amazing! They also prepared it spicy as I wanted it. But surprisingly, my wife and I are the only customers when we go there around 9:30pm; we've been there 3 times. Reasons could be that this restaurant is located in a developing shopping complex, and people around have yet to discover it. As we are there usually around 9:30pm, there are only 2 people working there, probably the owner/chef and a server. The service was not that adequate. The server could not listen to us when we called her out a couple of times (of course with polite 'excuse-me's) and raised our hand when we needed something. Once I needed an extra plate and I had to get up after a min or two and ask her for it. Second time we needed extra rice (the rice is very good) and it was half a dozen of 'excuse-me's later that she attended us. The closing time is 11pm, but then she always hurried up to clear the table; my wife still had stuff on her plate and she was working on it and the waiter asked if she could take the plate! Probably their service is better in earlier hours but it should not be this bad just because they are an hour away from closing the restaurant. The wontons in the soup were doughy, the sechuan chicken was inedible and cost $13.50 for absolute trash. Kung Pao Chicken was overwhelmed by bell pepper...in my lifetime have never been served Kung Pao with more bell pepper in it than chicken. Filling in crab rangoon was acceptable, and those were probably the best of the 3 items ordered, though nowhere near fantastic. Egg Foo Yung was less than expected, tasting more of vegetable oil and eggs and contained absolutely no bean sprouts typical of egg foo yung. Awoke this morning to a very unhappy intestinal issue. Hillsborough, NC - A restaurant for gamblers! This hole-in-the-wall place specializes in takeout, and surely benefits from its location, otherwise I can't imagine how it survives. Food quality is luck of the draw: one day it may be good but next time, it's terrible. One particular night last year we thought it was excellent but last night, well....it was awful. Ordered "mixed" vegetables (99% broccoli), chow mein noodles, and chicken kung pao, each of which was drenched in a tasteless, semi-viscous, glossy brown sauce that somehow combined in mysterious ways to magnify the extraordinary blandness. The beef tasted like dog food... that's the only way to describe it. Or possibly the meat you buy that is sealed and is meat but can sit in your pantry? I don't know...either way it was horrible. However, I should say my boyfriend enjoyed his sesame chicken and our friend enjoyed his chicken lo-mein... so maybe the chicken stuff is fine. The wonton soup was not particularly great, although the wontons were tasty. I won't be going back here however. The best thing about this place is the map on their takeout menu. It shows that they're located near "Super War-Mart" and "Home Depor." I may or may not have taken eleven copies because I found that hilarious. The food is forgettable and the service it awful. The rude woman who helped me and my family actually rolled her eyes at us. If you like the standard Americanized version of Chinese food, the food will pass. They don't try very hard to excel in anything but the food is digestible. I would feel foolish to go back there again. The servers are poorly trained (and could care less) are surly and as another reviewer noted, seem mad all the time. After my second (I know, my bad) experience there, I asked to see the manager to let him/her know how their staff came across. They said he was "busy". I said " fine, I'll wait". After about 5 minutes they trotted out the dishwasher and he asked what I wanted. I said, "are you the manager" and he said "no, he is not here". The help could care less if you eat there and they do not remotely appreciate the fact that you spend your hard earned money there, so why should you? You can rest assured, I won't. read more

Having recently relocated from Manhattan, I was hoping to find some decent Chinese food around Hillsborough and I'm impressed. If you're hoping for fine dining, you should rethink looking for it in a strip mall, but if you just want some solid Chinese food at a reasonable price, give this place a shot. Really nice General Tso's chicken that was crispy, yet not over cooked and with a well balanced sauce. The crab Rangoon is a generous potion that was also very good. This place is very good! Having grown up in the SF Bay Area, in CA, and lived in NY, I know good Chinese food. I think that the locals are not happy with the decor and culture of this place. It's run by a Chinese family and in a traditional Chinese style. You've got to think NY, SF, Chinatown. The staff is friendly enough and they do a fine job - Focus on the food, though some dishes my be better than others. The place has great food, but the servers are not nice. They treat white people like we are below them. I have never had great service there. If the food was not good then I would not bother with the rude waiters and waitresses. God forbid do not accidentally spill a drink or they look at you like your an idiot and give hateful looks. We recently moved to hillsborough and decided to try this place. After reading the reviews, I figured we would take a chance. I ordered moo goo gai pan, chicken fried rice and Kung pao chicken. The food was sub par. My wife and son said theirs was horrible and because I was so hungry i had to stomach the Kung pao chicken. The food had no flavor and pounded out rubbery chicken. The only thing that was good was the peanuts. I've had way better food at Pei Wei or pf changs. I won't be going back, for the money I spent I would've been better off just going to Wendy's or Burger King. read more

We have been there several times and they started out okay. Then over the last two times I have decided I will NEVER go back. First on one visit the service was dreadful. Had to repeatedly ask for more drinks. And the drinks finally came with the bill. So I left a pretty lame tip. The last time, my daughter went there with some friends. Her individual bill was about $6.00 and she provided a $20 bill. She never recieved her change. When they spoke to the manager, he said she would not get her change because he felt it was "tip". I always go here when I crave Chinese food! They have some really good food except their garlic chicken, they just can't seem to get it right. Not sure why, so I stopped ordering it from there. Food is always fresh and ready on time. I usually don't dine in cause I feel rushed. They have a flat screen in the restaurant which is great for sports. My boyfriend and I came here for dinner. Things were okay to start off with, the place was dark and seemed dingy but it smelled good and we were craving Chinese. When the food came out it was hot and seemed fresh, but the taste was definitely lacking. I agree with the previous review that says it's the usual Americanized Chinese. It's just like normal takeout, but not good. The ONLY thing that was worth the money was the crab Rangoon's. Even that wasn't any better than any other place. The rice was really dry and not flavorful. To top things off, I realized I left an expensive rain jacket there last night. It was later last night and only one other table came in after us and they closed not long after we left, so I know they weren't SO busy some customer could have grabbed it. I called them today and asked and the guy couldn't even understand me for a few minutes, then finally said "we haven't found anything". I went there with my boyfriend to ask again, because we both knew I had it there. I was afraid there could've been confusion over the phone since he didn't understand me at first. But we went to ask face to face and he was very nervous right off the bat and wouldn't even make eye contact. I know it was forgetful of me, but I also work in the food industry and the establishment I work for keeps things safe that people leave. We don't ever take things and when people come back or call for things, we let them know we have them. It's just very disappointing to know that they're so low as cleaning up the table and taking the jacket and not saying a word.
