We were looking for a Chinese restaurant near the house and came across the reviews for Kings Wok. We ordered online which was super easy and did not require us to call. We ordered the Pork Egg Foo Young, Pork Fried Rice, Sweet and Sour Chicken, and the Wonton Soup. The wonton soup is amazing and probably the best wonton soup I've ever eaten. It was my first experience with Egg Foo Young and the eggs were cooked perfectly, not burnt or overdone. The gravy was great too. All of the food was hot when we picked it up. Staff was super friendly. We would never have thought that the restaurant would be great based on the shopping plaza, but all of the reviews were accurate. Came here as there was no other options open at the time. I walked in, and got your typical Chinese take out design, with hard working family in the back. When I went to pick up my order, the people were very friendly and recommended we also order a few more items. When I got home, the food did have a bit of the buffet like texture to it (quality could be better) rather than your typical take out cuisine. Also, the price is a bit high for the area, the portions, and the type of food. If it was 30% less, it would make sense. I personally won't be back. read more

I don't know how anyone can say this food is Buffet quality. Did you notice all the 5 star reviews?? It is made fresh with every order. Yes, you're right hard working family! Watch those kids grow up doing school work at the counter. And their portions are very good. Check out their lunch specials. Where can you get kind of food and portions for around 8.50? We were traveling from S. Mississippi and needed a fix of Chinese food. We chose Kings Wok after checking their ratings on Yelp. We were not disappointed. We ordered dinner combos of chicken Lo Mein and Szechuan Beef, and the order was filled promptly, the owner very cordial. The egg rolls were not great, with less filling than we're used to and nearly an inch at each end with no filling, but they were well cooked, the filling tasty. The szechuan beef was delicious but a little light on sauce, and the lo mein noodles were slightly overcooked, but both dishes had excellent flavors, and we ate far more than we should have. I recommend Kings Wok and would suggest it to anyone i the Zephyrhills area. read more

This place was visited mid to late afternoon so food should have been FRESH. It was horrible reheated and spongy General Tso's Chicken and an old tasting pork with lame vegetables. The Dumplings were good but barely fried, I asked for FRIED! Pork fried rice was another joke like all Zephyrhills area chines places, it is spanish yellow rice just dirtied up, no pork in it! Egg rolls could have been in freezer for years, yuck. We visit many area Chinese places. Kings Wok is a NEVER visit again for us. Very disappointing. read more

I was very excited to go to this restaurant after reading some good reviews and the fact that King's Wok claims to be "New York style." First off, the plexiglass protected counter with the two-way portal to exchange payment & food is truly NY style for parts Brooklyn & the Bronx. The food is a little bit better than what you'd expect at your basic Chinese take out. The food I received was somewhat inconsistent. The selection of vegetables used was excellent and fresh. However, they were overcooked and too soft. The sauces served with it, one garlic and one brown, were both meh. The chicken used was white meat and was actually the highlight; they do not soak their chicken in corn starch to give it the appearance of being softer. Egg roll was excellent; wonton soup was yellow & salty with 8 wontons, but nothing else. Nothing really bad about this place except the vestibule and "dining" area (2 very conspicuous tables), nothing really great either. But, it does satisfy that hankering for Chinese food, just not in a NY style. Great for Zephyrhills! read more

I just relocated to this area and this place was close by. I ordered a large general tso, a large chicken lo-mein, and 2 orders of spring rolls. It was TERRIBLE!!! got home to realize no rice for my chicken , no chopsticks or any utensils, napkins or sauces ... nothing ... called they made me come get my missing dinner items, then when I told them the spring rolls were soggy and mushy inside, the general tso tasted funny, way too sweet (it tasted like honey, and ketchup. It was gross,), the cashier (who I think also might be one of the owners possibly) went to kitchen pulled out a big tin can of sauce , stuck his bare hand down in it with sauce all over his hand, licked it off in front of me and said it tasted just fine. They refused to remake my food and did not honor giving me my money back.... Needless to say after I saw him stick his hand in the can lick it off. I would never go back here anyway I would never recommend this to anyone and it was absolutely disgusting ...0% recommend, I think I'll be calling the health department too.... FYI, I was there towards closing on Tuesday night and they are closed on Wednesday so I have not had an opportunity to speak to the owner or manager yet. read more

The food here is fantastic. When I saw the ad that said New York style, Chinese food I was intrigued. When I finally ordered from here, I found out it was true. The wonton egg drop mix soup was exactly how I remember it in New York. In fact, everything I ordered was terrific. They have an extensive menu of many of the Chinese favorites. Best Chinese in Zephyrhills. I'd highly recommend their fried dumping, and their spare rib. That spare rib is different from all the other Chinese restaurant spare ribs, it's more flavorful and is normally mostly lean meat instead of the super fatty pieces you get at other places, highly recommend. Service here is standard Chinese restaurant service, pretty sure it's a family restaurant, but they're doing things right there. Go try it, you'll start going here for your Chinese. read more

We ordered from Kings Wok in Zephyrhills FL New Year's Eve and they were so busy, 6 or 7 people in kitchen cooking and a line out the door. It did take time to get our order but it was very good! They did not sacrifice flavor for speed or quantity! We had house fried rice, crab rangoons and Boneless BBQ ribs. It was abundantly served and delicious! I couldn't even believe how she kept people straight on orders, let alone how they kept up as much as possible. Very good, highly recommend them! read more

First of all, definitely do this as a take out. The food was made quickly and it was really good. We were going to eat there (they only have three tables.) they brought it out to us in Togo containers. No utensils. Just plopped it down. We asked for waters so she filled up some styrofoam cups at the hand washing sink and brought them, no ice. It was super bizarre. I was in the area and decided to try this place based on some of the reviews. The food was decent, I ordered human chicken, shrimp with vegetables. The shrimp had a more then usual stronger smell so I was a bit turned off by it, it wasn't my dish it was my fathers who thought it was ok. The Hunan chicken was decent I've had better. I wasn't as thrilled once I started to eat. Im used to eating amazing Chinese food in places like Boston, NY, Miami, Orlando, etc. the bigger cities. The prices are very reasonable and you do get lots of food. If visiting my dad in Zephyrhills again, I'll try some other menu items, maybe I'll have a better experience, I'm not sure if I'd get the shrimp again? Anyway, give them a try for yourself.
