Listen... For the last 3 years of DoorDashing, the China House restaurant has always been so busy. I'm there 2 or 3 times a day picking up orders and they have at least one other dasher waiting, too. All of my customers have told me how good it is. Something stood out. So, tonight I HAD to try it! Every preconceived notion was correct! It was the best Chinese food I have EVER had! The General Tso's was so tender and the flavor was perfect! The crab rangoons were made with REAL crab meat. Since we have moved to Beaver Pa we have ordered multiple times at first it was great but it has been lacking the sauces requested. I made an order last night and only got 2 soy sauce and 2 duck sauce. As much as I pay for delivery and food I expected my sauces to be correct. This is the ass-est Chinese food I have ever eaten. Fried in oil that's been in the wok since 1960.

The food was good but the ingenuity was even better. They have developed a contactless system for their storefront and it truly was a smart plan. The pic doesn't do it justice but they basically prop the door open and fill it with these wooden boxes. There is a speaker system rigged up. A double door system (think zoo aviary) so one door closes before you open another. Truly ingenious! read more

Is it possible to live on egg foo young... Gosh I hope so, because this is our families favorite item on the menu at China House. China House is located in the heart of Downtown Beaver smack dab in the middle of the main drag. China house has no in person dining but rather a very robust take-out only policy. The menu is actually quite large with many daily specials that seem very popular with the local workers.I am very partial to the American/Chinese classic Egg Foo Young, and China House does an exceptional version. The noodles are good and I like to lean to the more exotic non-traditional (Canton) Chinese styles, so I always pick up an order of the spicy cold sesame noodles or anything under the Szechuan side of the menu. Overall the prices are good for what you get and the service is always quick and fresh. If you're looking for something quick and cheap without the best quality ingredients than this is the place. Fair warning: don't expect to be treated with respect. I don't appreciate the women taking my order banging on their makeshift plastic divide to get my attention but whatever. Flavorful food; good quanity, great prices. I know it sounds like a commercial but it is really true of this wonderful gem hidden in downtown Beaver, PA. I have yet to have a bad meal there. The food is fantastic and they give you a lot of it. My boyfriend really loves the lemon chicken; the crispness of the chicken, the sauce was very flavorful and made the dish. The egg rolls were really good and hot. The sesame rolls we had for dessert were wonderful and very tasty. It was great to try something different. The staff are so very friendly and personable. After reading the reviews and seeing this place was available door dash. I ordered the General Tso"s chicken as always do with any chinese restaurant I get food from. After sampling my food I read reviews again and came to the conclusion that apparently people don't know what good Chinese food taste like. This is by far the worst General Tso's I have ever had from any place I have ever gone too. The sauce taste like vinegar and there is no spice. My favorite quick Chinese take out. Everything's ready in ten minute from call-in and always consistent in flavor. Fresh ingredients; never have I ever had anything bad and they're always friendly. What more can you ask for in food that comes out in a cardboard container! My go-to items are wonton soup, chicken fried rice, spicy garlic chicken or amazing chicken. I got treated with complete disrespect. I wish I got better service. I would like to add that every time I go in to the store they get real snippy. Mind you this is in downtown beaver PA. Also, After I ordered my food I asked them how much there drinks are and they got snippy and kept repeating the price to me. It was like they were forcing me to buy the drink. Used to be awesome. Now, their food is sub-par. I won't be back, especially when the place in Rochester is AMAZINGLY AWESOME. LAST TIME I went to China House, I ordered my standard with fried rice, for an upcharge. The fried rice was just brownish, flavorless rice, with nothing else. If you go to ANY other restaurant, fried rice is made right, with an egg and some veg. This place is going downhill, and FAST. Maybe because the folks in Rochy offer ACTUAL fried rice, and also offer Thai options, which are better than the offerings in Pittsburgh. It's a shame, because I used to like the food before they got cheap. Speaking of cheap, try to find a shrimp in their "shrimp egg rolls.". They should raise prices before serving terrible food. We've lived in Beaver for a year and frequent China House! So happy to have such a good Chinese spot so close. Legitimately have not once been disappointed in our food. Consistently fresh and great flavor. We love several dishes but need to say they put out the best sesame chicken we have had. Highly recommended! read more

First time for Chinese take-out in the area. Ordered the General Tso's Chicken with white rice...a favorite for me and my yardstick to determine if there will be future visits. 10 minutes between phone order and pickup...props for turnaround. Chicken was well cooked with an only moderately crunchy coating that didn't stand up well to the sauce. I prefer a thicker sweet brown sauce with some bite to it. This was thinner, lighter sauce that traded the traditional peppery bite for a more vinegary taste with only one pepper to be found. Four stars for speed, quality of the base chicken and friendliness of counter staff. I'll keep looking, though. read more

This place is decent for the most part. Food is ready fast. Food tastes good most of the time, but my chicken is sometimes so over cooked, it's like jerky. The chicken and pork fried rice also have absolutely no vegetables or anything else in it besides rice, onions, and the meat. I placed an order for Sesame Chicken over the phone. Went in to pick it up had to wait but no problem. It was the worst Chinese food EVER. Terrible service. Served undercooked chicken and GREASY rice and egg rolls. Called the restaurant to get a refund and they said if I bring the food back within the same day I can get a refund. If not, tough luck. So I go back, return the food, and get yelled at by the woman on cash register making it seem like i screwed up the order. Never got an apology for the terrible food and service. When giving me the refund speaking in another language this woman was very upset. She didn't give me the correct amount i paid for the order. She gave me back less than what i paid for it. My family was traveling through and wanted Chinese food so we stopped in to China House. The street it is on is absolutely adorable, definitely check out the little shops. The food was good, pretty standard Chinese so nothing to really complain about. The guy who took our order was really friendly and helpful. They also added tofu to two dishes and made sure we knew we could customize our orders to just the way we wanted it. The food probably took about 10-15 Minutes to get. There is eat-In and carry out.
