This is the best Chinese food I have had since moving here to McDonough. My family usually gets the tangerine chicken, shrimp egg foo yung and shrimp and vegetables. It is all delicious. The only thing is here they serve the patties separate from the gravy. I have never had it that way, in Chicago it is served together. The service is great, I always say I may eat in but never have. I second the review here that the General Tso's chicken here is delicious! I can't say I've had much else, but once you've found a good order, why deviate? :) I find it convenient to call in an order for pick-up, as it only takes 10-15 minutes for them to have it ready and so you could have your hot food good to go by the time you get there. The eggroll that comes with the lunch special is tasty, though I wish it'd come with some sweet and sour sauce. Otherwise, a great place for some affordable Chinese food! read more

I had an awesome review on here for them; but I have to change it. Their prices have jumped completely off the map. A quart of hot n sour soup used to be $2.25, and they have since made it $5+!!!!! That is INSANE for egg drop soup mixed with spices!!!!!! They are now charging $3 for extra shrimp in the fried rice instead of $2, so for 2-3 extra shrimp, $3!!!! WTH? The portion sizes are shrinking as well, which is just sad.... We used to drive to go get our food from here, and are now looking for a new place due to the ridiculous pricing!!! read more

Finally, a good Chinese restaurant in this area, ya hoo. So, the service is great. From the moment you walk in through the door, they welcome you and ask about drinks. Once they returned with drinks they are ready to take your order and make recommendations. No combinations but better, they have a dinner for TWO, three or more. They great thing is, you can get the meat you want and the other can get their fav. Pretty cool. Your order comes with soup, spring roll and Rangoon. Wow, I'm full already. Next is the main dish. Whatever you ordered, arrives. You get a full plate of meat and enough rice to feed a few people. They are constantly asking if you need anything. They end with your bill and a few fortune cookie. We are new to Henry County and China House is now our new favorite! I had family visiting from out of town and we wanted to order in after they arrived from their road trip. First impression: We were relieved to see their COVID-19 safety measures. They set up a table right at the door with a plexiglass barrier above the table. The employee wore a mask as well. Now to the food: We ordered a variety of dishes since we had several opinions and palates interested in dinner that evening. House Fried Rice, Lo Mein, Shrimp and Broccoli...it was a spread! Everyone enjoyed their meal! My teenaged niece is our Chinese food connoisseur and she raved about her meal!! Days later before getting on the road back home, they ordered more food to enjoy when they got home! My only complaint if any as a first timer would have been the choice to choose from a full menu as opposed to just the lunch option. Great and reasonably priced Chinese food. I've never eaten inside but it is clean. My food is always prepared in about 20 minutes, so they are pretty quick. I don't eat a lot of Chinese cuisine but I would recommend the Singapore Noodles and wonton soup. The dumplings are good as well. read more

This is by far, the best Chinese food in Mcdonough. They don't deliver which is my only issue with this location but pick up is fantastic. When ever I make a call in order, my food has always been ready for me by the time I walk through the door ten minutes later. I've tried a number of the menu items such as the General Chicken which is crispy and made of white meat chicken, unlike some of the other General Chickens I've tasted. The Sesame Chicken, which I was recommended when I asked if they had honey chicken, is fantastic. It is sweet and perfectly breaded, always crispy despite the sauce on top. Came here yesterday with my hubby. I thought the food was good but my hubby didn't like it. He traded his first entree for another chicken dish and they let us keep his first dish without charging which was nice. I did feel like we were being watched I don't know if it's because we are an African American couple or what but I didn't feel like I could relax and enjoy myself. The atmosphere was somewhat stressed there was an employee that kept coming up every 10 mins to ask how we were doing and even though it's a nice gesture he did it too much. I felt awkward there and felt rushed like as soon as I stepped in the door the same employee asked me "for here or to go" I didn't see him do that to other people he let them walk to the counter and then asked how they were doing. The people are always nice, and remember me every time I come in, My one favorite thing is the Teriyaki Shrimp, these are perfect, they are not breaded and fried, but lightly seared in a pan,and the sauce is not a thick goopy sauce, but a nice light sauce. Food was over priced and small portions. Food was also not what we ordered. We took it to go and after driving 30 minutes to get home realized food was wrong. Tried to call back, spoke to manager who said I can bring food back. Told her I was not driving 1 hour round trip and wanted a credit or something for next visit. I was told she can't do this and I asked to speak to another manager. She said she was only one for all week and then I asked to talk to the owner. Its obvious to me, most people here don't know much about "asian" food. I don't think this is the greatest chinese food experience I've ever had. The prices are fantastic, and the food you get for the price makes it a great value, but this is no way a gourmet restaurant. The chicken was freshly prepared, but im pretty sure its the premade stuff, only to be covered with general's sauce and freshly prepared. the fried rice was average, I wish there was eggs, onions, any kind of vegetable to give it some texture. The vegetables that came with my General Tso's chicken were fresh though. Overall it was a pleasing experience, but I still wouldn't consider this a 5 star experience.
