I Order food togo.. the people where friendly. The food was way sub par. 105.00 for the Togo order. Let me start with the soup.. the hot and sour soup was like nothibg I have tasted before, it was way off from what I am used to. The t3st of the meals we ordered where not very good.they all lacked taste . And had an off taste like maybe old oil? Even the rice was terrible ot was a complete waste of money. I am not mad it is what it is but reviews were decent but the food was way below what I expected. The egg rolls were awesome so Im assuming they fresh frozen as everything else was not good. Great place to get Chinese food, their chicken chow mein, egg rolls, and egg drop soup reminds me of a restaurant that used to be in Clemson. Low mein noodles are proper and not elastic like other places. Friendly staff and owner. Overall it's different taste and that makes it great! read more

We've ordered from this restaurant many, many times over the past 10-years and have never had poor food and that is still the case. The only issue I have is they way they continue to raise their prices. This is an average Chinese restaurant, not fine dining. It seems like every time we place an order their prices have gone up, most recently many items went up by three dollars. For example, pre-covid an order of pork fried rice was around 6 or 7 dollars, then it jumped to $10 and now it is $13. Even something small like an eggroll went from $2 to $3; that's a whopping 50% increase! It appears they've raised the prices on every single menu item. I understand inflation has affected everything but these price increases have by far outpaced the inflation we've all experienced. A simple meal for two with no beverages: * 2 eggrolls = $6.00 * Crab Rangoon = $9.00 * Egg drop soup = $3.00 * Subgum soup = $8.00 * Pork fried Rice = $13.00 * Sweet & Sour Shrimp = $15.00 * Seafood Worbor = $21.00 With tax the bill came to $81.00 before tip. The bottom line: In my opinion, the food is decent Chinese food but there is no economic value from ordering there, compared to other local establishments. read more

I would not recommend going to this place I went with my girlfriend and our friend. We all got our food and our friend discovered a hair in her food a little after she started eating it so she stopped eating. Me and my girlfriend kept eating and then she discovered there was a hair in her food as well. I kept eating and as I was going to pour the veggie fried rice leftovers in to the box I discovered this molded piece of produce. Please read my original review for a complete rundown of our experience, all of which was positive. The issue I speak of is this: We have now been to China Inn six times. Of those times, five of them found us at the cash register after our meal giving our check and credit card to a child to process. I would guess her to be 9 or 10 years old. She doesn't talk to you when you talk to her; it is all business, not friendly at all. And most of those times there is no adult around to supervise her when she runs your card. So far there have been no errors in the processing and I am glad for that. I don't even mind having a young person performing this job. But 1) they should have some basic social skills/manners when dealing with customers who just dropped $50 at their restaurant, and 2) they should be supervised by an adult who can "fill in the blanks" where the child is deficient, making sure everything is done properly and that the customer leaves feeling like they were appreciated. I still like the food. I just think adults need to run the restaurant (and the Front End IS the restaurant) read more

I live in Toccoa so I don't get to Seneca often. The first time I are here, I was so impressed! Now that I have been z several more times, I am say the same. I love to go! On my most recent visit, my hubby and I enjoyed our meal of Sweet and Sour Chicken, which we shared. We both had egg rolls which were crispy and tasty. He ordered Wonton Soup and I ordered my usual Egg Drop Soup. Both of us were pleased. Our waitress could not have been more pleasant. The last couple of times I have visited, I was not pleased. It wasn't the food I was disappointed in as it is always delicious. I was very upset at the service. I always get placed at one of two tables with a friend, not a big deal, but when I requested a table because I had more people coming, their words were, "no, that table is too big for the group you have coming." Great high quality food at a good price. Serving sizes are huge and I have not had a bad experience in the 5 years at this place.

I did not enjoy my one time experience here. The food was dark with heavy oils. I have never seen Chinese food that looked quite like that. I ate the food because I did not want to give the visual 100% of the food quality rating, but rather wanted to taste it. I was not impressed and will not return. Just had Cantonese chicken that was the worst food at a restaurant I have had in a long while. Chicken was way under cooked and rubbery. Complained to the waiter and the lady from the front came over. Began arguing and picked up my knife and started trying to cut the chicken without my permission. Said it was cooked and not pink. I disagreed and she kept saying cooked. After she played with my food I certainly could not eat it. They did not offer to make adjustments on price, had to pay for food not fit to eat. You better think twice about this place. Bad food and terrible service. A real bummer for my birthday. read more

I have been going to China Inn since it opened twenty some years ago.I was always pleased with the food and service while Lilyan Lee owned it. She retired and sold the restaurant at least a year ago and it's just not the same any more. Children check you out at the register and the food is not nearly as good as it was before. China INN has the WORST customer service EVER!!!!!The OWNERS DAUGHTER and the Special helper elf they have working the front with customers are VERY rude and NASTY. I was treated with such disrespect because I was in line on my cell phone. Granted they do have a baby sign tucked near the Cash register (not in plain sight) saying something about the phone. We have been getting take out there for over ten years. Lately the food has deteriorated but it was still the best around. Got take out last night, Moo goo gai pan, Egg foo yong and teriyaki chicken on skewers. The Moo Goo was okay, the foo yong was below their normal quality and the teriyaki chicken was terrible, it was nothing more than chicken tenders on a stick with absolutely no teriyaki sauce. We did not eat the chicken, I returned it today, didnt want a refund but thought they should know I was unhappy. We purchased Moo Shu Chicken, Veg. Lo Mein, and Veg. Egg Foo Young. The Egg Foo Young was very greasy; the Lo Mein had virtually no flavor, and the Moo Shu was about average. The Spring Rolls were also greasy. I'm sure this place makes some things well; otherwise they would not be in business. However, I recommend trying things that are not named herein. read more
