I don't know what the name means, but I stopped here because I was pressed for time. While I wasn't impressed by the shopping mall I pulled into, they absolutely maximized the space, with an outdoor dining area walled in by plants. This is a sandwich and salad lunch place, and there were several plausible options for vegetarians and vegans. My order came with a side and I added a cookie. Ice cups were out for a self-serve collection of tea (sweet or unsweet), lemonade, and water at no extra charge. My mushroom-heavy toasted sandwich delivered on flavor, with a rosemary olive oil bread contrasting the massive amount of mushrooms and a zippy romesco inside. For a side, I received a garlicky hummus with pita. My cookie was a slightly odd texture, but it did round out the experience and keep me full for an outdoor day. It was quick, easy, had options for most diets, was a nice place to eat, and on top of that I got out for a price I couldn't believe. To be fair, if I weren't in middle of nowhere South Carolina I'm sure there's no way I get that meal for under $20 at current rates, but I had no problem stopping here on the way to the mountains, and I doubt there was any better lunch option for a long way in any direction. read more

Loved it! I had the Fennel chicken salad with their soup of the day. Which was Roasted Garlic Potato... yummy!! It was all so good and filling. I couldn't finish my sandwich I was so satisfied! We ordered the Orchard wrap & duke sandwich, both were wonderful & huge! We had leftovers for another meal! Service was great! It was a beautiful day. Consistently great food. I wish it was open later for grabbing food to bring home for dinner. We try to get there on Saturdays so I can enjoy their sangria for lunch occasionally though it's not close to home, otherwise just lucky to have it close to work. I was so glad to find a "neat" place in Seneca. More like what I am used to in metropolitan areas. The food was good. The intent of the restaurant is clear. However ease up on the salt in the Soups people!!! My dining partner was overwhelmed with the salt in the mushroom soup and the tomato bisque. There are salt shakers provided so people can salt more to their personal taste. Also, if there was some cream or something added to the bisque it would have relived both the salt and the acidity of the tomato's. Otherwise, I enjoyed my self and will be back. This is a MUST stop for me anytime I am in Seneca, SC. My last meal on 12-1-2023 was half of a turkey cranberry Waldorf salad and a cup of Thai chicken curry soup and half a cranberry cookie. It was DELICIOUS. The soup was crammed full of chicken and the flavor was divine! The salad was a perfect accompaniment and more than enough to share with my companion. The cookie was like a cherry on top of a perfect meal. The secret is out, this place can be busy but they're quick in the kitchen and you rarely wait more than 5 minutes or so for your food to be delivered to your table once your order at the front. Today, I was extremely disappointed, as COVID-19 is spiking in our area, to enter the restaurant with my mask on and not see one employee in the kitchen or at the register with a mask. I discovered Presst when I started working in Seneca and it has been a reliable lunch spot ever since. The employees are very friendly and helpful. I've tried many of the menu items but my go-to is one of their grilled cheese sandwiches and tomato soup. They also have fantastic cookies available which would be a great treat for kids and adults! Fantastic! With such an expansive menu I wasn't sure what I wanted, so I asked the owners and gave them a little idea of what I usually like and they suggested the perfect sandwich and soup(the duke and curry soup), my husband got salad and rice bowl which we BOTH were very impressed by how flavorful it was!! The mushroom sandwich didn't taste that good and the grilled cheese was pretty good, but its hard to screw up a grilled cheese and at $10 it is not worth it. I came in today after reading reviews here, being high I was excited and had high hopes. I wasn't let down as "the duke" sandwich was amazing. It was braised short rib with pimento cheese, tomato, and some special sauce. It was perfectly toasted and one of the best sandwiches I've ever had. Now for the downside, which isn't really bad, just inconsistent considering how good the sandwich was. I had a side salad with a house buttermilk dressing. Meh. Very bland and just so so at best. They have a limited drink choice (sweet and unsweet tea, lemonade, and water). I had the sweet tea, which was average at best. I do recommend this place, just be sure you look at the whole menu. First time there and severely impressed! Wonderful breads and not cut ridiculously thick so you could enjoy the meats and cheeses, even tomatoes were sliced thin so you didn't end up with a slippery mess.... good job! And don't miss those cookies! read more
